We should be vigilant with regards to joining telegram groups and receiving and replying to a strangers direct message.  It is not new that this kind of scam scheme had been operating in this platform.  They always target people who are too naive and are easily trapped with promises and sweet words.  So we should be cynical about stuff when other people offers us a too good to be true scheme.

On the condition that you have to actually provide valid evidence of suspicion to them, that's a good step if you do, so all the members here can find out the name or team that acted against that telegram group.

I think scammers are previous users as well that were possibly victimized by a type of scam. They might have realized that it's easy to do that instead of working hard for it, which is f*cked up. Some people force you to be into groups and automatically invites you if you haven't changed your account settings. You could get added to a spam group that you didn't want to join.

The best way is to search for settings in your Telegram and make sure you don't get added to any random group.

I know how scammer invite you to telegram group, I think your name have added on their telegram group without have activities you ever in this group, every day I got my telegram have added in several group telegram community or discussing without any permission and I don't with this group so I try to report and left with that telegram group because I see many fake link give by moderator of telegram. Never trust telegram group without an announcement thread here, if they have an announcement thread here we can verify right away if the ongoing giveaway or airdrop is legit or not, always keep in mind that Telegram is the hub of scammers, they love telegram because they can easily escape here.

This is 2020, and i expecting that everyone in the crypto currency space as an investor or trader should have known or realized that you are not supposed to join any strange telegram group, also you are expected to have also restricted your telegram account to ensure that you cannot be added to any group by strangers at all. protect yourself nd do our research.

I wanted to say that it's your own job to protect yourself online. It's normal that newbies will fall for these fishy methods and even if you keep publishing and writing about the matter i think that the cheaters aka the scammers will always find new ways to scam other people, it's a fight that will never end.
I faced alot of these fake groups especially with the famous exchangers where scammers try to invite other users just to hack their wallets or send a malware into the victime's pc which is a good trick but only dumb ones will fall for it.

Better not to accept any invitation coming from strange spam telegram groups to protect yourself. Also, if ever, better examine such group to see for yourself and analyze if you were on the right group because such trick of having scam telegram group despite of having a real project is common. They were just diverting you out of the real one to gain possession and to get you caught into their traps. Be mindful while scrolling into telegram because it is very common that you will encounter such groups and even strange people asking or inviting you to join into their group.
