I tried to decode the message guide but from what I'm seeing, it seem like it could be best carried out using PC and not mobile. I'm just being skeptical about this but if it's something I can complete using my mobile, then I'm going all in.

You can use either mycelium and blockchain.com mobile wallet app, they can both signed a message which is the task asked in the OP, though you can only use blockchain.com only works for imported private keys.
