if we compare clearly I agree with what you said that bitcoin has the advantage of all existing altcoins, because it can also be seen that the movement of altcoins all depends on what bitcoin is doing, whether it goes down or up. when bitcoin is experiencing a deep correction then all altcoins also experience it, which indicates that is the influence of bitcoin.

Btc advantage over alts is the fact that btc is highly trusted and mostly accepted in almost all part of the world,  btc has big names invested in it because they trust it unlike alts that are highly risky yet highly profitable too, between btc and alts, the latter will give more profit when you put your funds in a sound project, once you are lucky to invest in a good alts project,  it gives more profit than putting same amount on btc, I guess this is part of the reason why op is investing in alts instead of btc.

Then for the volatility aspect, all coins in the crypto market are volatile, hence the reason why the saying "the crypto market is highly volatile" that is to say, it is not limited to a particular coin nor is it higher in a particular coin than others. But however, when one talks about security of investment that's when most coins will stand out from others, with the first been Bitcoin, reason being that it is the only decentralized and most secure coin.

I think you are wrong because most of the altcoin is also very high on volatility, it always depend on the altcoin that you invested, bitcoin is always dominating the market it always goes up and down but altcoin will always follow so in short both bitcoins and altcoins are high on volatility it always matters on selecting and sometimes our profit will depend on our luck.

I do not 100% agree with your opinion. I think bitcoin is volatile but it also the same with Altcoins. The time when bitcoin price is having a dip the alts will follow. In my opinion bitcoin is more well known in the society so it has better advantage than the alts.

Yep, everyone will have a different perception and approach to the market, so our goals will not be the same. Just like myself before, when I first joined, I always thought of just buying a coin and just waiting for it to increase in price . And when we gain knowledge and a broader perspective, it's clear that that thinking is gone, whether it's btc or altcoins, they have the ability to bring us good profits.
