The holiday season for the Christian is to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. The essence of this season is to give joy, love and gifts to show that in one long year despite of hardships, challenges and the conflicts among the people around could be reunite especially if within the family. So, this is why I am thinking also if it is possible for the bitcoin family especially to Satoshi Nakamoto to give love and share gifts through bitcoin.
Although we know that the account under Satoshi Nakamoto with silver coins below his account name is no longer active but with the slightest hope and possiblities that he could show up. I was thinking of possible reason with how possible that Satoshi Nakamoto will show up and these are the following.
Possible reason for Satoshi Nakamoto to show up,
1. It is christmas and time for giving off message, love and gifts. 2. This year 2020 is not really a good year due to pandemic. There are lot of challenges specifically in financial aspects. Many individuals around the world has lost their jobs usually the low income earners. 3. We had missed already Satoshi on his words of wisdom that had inspired bitcoiners to utilize the system the way he wanted to happen. 4. Many members here also wanting to get a news about bitcoin system if there could be possible upgrade especially that bitcoin has high transaction fees and to promote faster bitcoin network. 5. From the gamblers, a possible lottery jackpot staking bitcoin addresses to win the reward. We know that gambling business is one of the good reason in the utilization of bitcoin so it must be rewarded.
Anyway, whether he will going to show up or not it will not going to matter in my case because we have already bitcoin from he's legacy for us to enjoy. We have theymos that had been with us always here in the forum and that would do already good for us.
But, I still need to know the chance or possibility.
1. Is there a chance that before the year end there will be a sort of giving or sharing of bitcoin? 2. Is there a chance Satoshi to show up?
Lastly, I just wanted to greet Merry Christmas to all christians and non christians
"Isang Ligtas na araw po sa inyong lahat!"

It's been more than a decade. What makes you think Satoshi would suddenly re-appear this year?
Also with the "Bitcoin upgrade" part, unless Satoshi is actually a developer right now under a different name, then he couldn't just simply push out updates just because he wanted to.

Satoshi created bitcoin to be completely decentralized in a way he himself or they themselves remained pseudonymous since 10 years ago. With what people are thinking, Satoshi's work has been completed to create bitcoin and was successfully created. Satoshi's work is not to give people bitcoin.
But, people that like and wants to give bitcoin can give it. Just see bitcoin as an asset and a real money with intrinsic value. So far commodities like gold can be given by anyone while fiat can also be given by anyone, also bitcoin can be given by anyone. No need to centralize this on Satoshi Nakamoto. Although, he created bitcoin but not the owner of bitcoin.
People should also be careful of scammers, because there is nothing scammers can not do to steal bitcoin from someone, for example during free giveaways.

Satoshi has not been around for a little over a decade so it doesn't make sense to think he would be back next week (Christmas week). As much as I'd like to see that happen, there's a very slim chance of that ever happening. Think of this, Satoshi hasn't showed up for major Bitcoin events that has happened since the inception. Things like hardforks, chain, splits, halvings, strict regulations from government, etc. As for Bitcoin network pitfalls you mentioned (slow transaction speed with high tx fees), there have been several proposals and implementations that seeks to address this such as lightening network payment channels, segwit, etc and more in the near future.
Satoshi already gifted us Bitcoin that provides us with borderless payments. Most of those low income earnings individuals are not even crypto holders so the essence of the giving isn't worthwhile. Moreover, this isn't the first Christmas since Bitcoin was created.

It doesn't mean that if he's not active here means that he's just chilling in his couch. Those reasons you mentioned are weak for someone else's reasoning that almost blew the media to just simply pop up out of nowhere. It's been a decade and a lot of things already happened to the world. All we know he's just doing his daily life and spending time behind a screen.

Possible reason for Satoshi Nakamoto to show up ~snip~ Sorry, but I'll have to tell you that these reasons are completely BS. It reminds my thread talking about Hal Finney as Satoshi Nakamoto in which I also used stupid arguments. (Yes, I admit it ) Although I would like to comment every-single of these reasons. 1. It is christmas and time for giving off message, love and gifts. 2. This year 2020 is not really a good year due to pandemic. There are lot of challenges specifically in financial aspects. Many individuals around the world has lost their jobs usually the low income earners. If a mysterious guy sends his bitcoin wealth, if we assume that he still owns anything, to the people do you believe that it'll solve the financial problems caused by this year? Do you actually believe that it'll help the people or motivate them somehow? Wow... 3. We had missed already Satoshi on his words of wisdom that had inspired bitcoiners to utilize the system the way he wanted to happen. If he shows up, it's gone. The mystery is gone. 4. Many members here also wanting to get a news about bitcoin system if there could be possible upgrade especially that bitcoin has high transaction fees and to promote faster bitcoin network. And why is satoshi needed for that? We, people, can work on bitcoin and make it better. That "upgrade" you're referring that only satoshi "could do", is called Lightning network and it was firstly introduced by Joseph Poon and Thaddeus Dryja. 5. From the gamblers, a possible lottery jackpot staking bitcoin addresses to win the reward. We know that gambling business is one of the good reason in the utilization of bitcoin so it must be rewarded. Even if I never had a discussion with Satoshi Nakamoto, I'm damn sure that he wouldn't give his bitcoins for that. Anyway, whether he will going to show up or not it will not going to matter in my case because we have already bitcoin from he's legacy for us to enjoy. We have theymos that had been with us always here in the forum and that would do already good for us. We also have Tim Berners-Lee, but I didn't see you talking about him. I don't get why you think theymos has done so good to us, just because he is the admin.

Most lamest reasons I've read so far just because it's so called "Christmas".
No offense but Satoshi Nakamoto's don't have any responsibility to give us Bitcoin, rewards, extra prizes, or whatsoever just because it's Christmas. Maybe he will but don't expect that he'll announced to the public that it's him giving giveaways to celebrate Christmas. Besides, what would be the benefit for him if he would do one of the things you've mentioned? none, I guess.
Also, I don't know why everyone is interested on a "person" who vanished 10 years ago and not realizing he just wants his personal space and privacy against the public.
EDIT: Bitcoin is enough gift that Satoshi Nakamoto has given us 10 years ago, and you're welcome.

for who and who does the "Bitcoin giving and sharing". Satoshi probably isn't. Actually Satoshi is around you, only you don't know Satoshi physically, if you know Bitcoin like that Satoshi always appears in every Bitcoin user, every second, hour, and day. If you have ever seen Bitcoin physically that's Satoshi and if you only look at the numbers it is also Satoshi, that means: Satoshi appears all the time in all countries and wherever you are, that's Satoshi, you may have found Satoshi if you have found Bitcoin.

Wtf did you wake up posting this BS? What is Satoshi's business with your individual doctrines? He had better invested the bitcoin in more charitable organizations that's one humanitarian service rendered. I'm completely blown off how someone would think bitcoins can be given for free, even when Satoshi launched the network I don't think he gave it out freely for Christmas celebration then why now it is been globally adopted and expensive?

1. The answer is we do not know. Satoshi Nakamoto can show up anytime without telling people or the public when he needs to show up. 2. If Satoshi thinks that he needs to show up, he will do that. He can show up again to the public or making a post here to tell us, "Hi, I am Bro." Out of that, we must let him decide whether to show himself here or in other media. But I do not think that he will give bitcoin to us as that is a huge amount of bitcoin. But that will make his decision to give some amount of his bitcoin to celebrate this moment.

1. It is christmas and time for giving off message, love and gifts.
Went past 9 Christmas seasons already, what makes this one different from the other? 2. This year 2020 is not really a good year due to pandemic. There are lot of challenges specifically in financial aspects. Many individuals around the world has lost their jobs usually the low income earners.
Err I don't think we need to put such high expectations for Satoshi, the mates a human as well, I don't think we should purposely put burdens on his/her shoulders. If he does want to donate for those that were affected, releasing their identity doesn't seem like a requirement to do so. Point is, stop putting these responsibilities for them when in the first place, they have no responsibility for others. But, I still need to know the chance or possibility.
1. Is there a chance that before the year end there will be a sort of giving or sharing of bitcoin? 2. Is there a chance Satoshi to show up?
None, they have no need to, and they most probably would not. They've stayed hidden for 9 years, I don't think they'd appear on the 10th for some reason. Well it's a whatever tbh, I honestly don't care whether they show themselves in public or not, I'm just grateful for them making Bitcoin start.

Satoshi hasn't been active for many years, it's likely he will never be active again. It would be completely out of character for him to start raining Bitcoin, as he never did anything even close to that. And even if for the sake of argument we imagine that he wanted to give away Bitcoin, how would he do that? People would immediately create bots and fake accounts to beg for as much BTC as they can. And the possibility of up to 1 million BTC flooding the market would cause a major crash, which Satoshi might not want to happen.

So, this is why I am thinking also if it is possible for the bitcoin family especially to Satoshi Nakamoto to give love and share gifts through bitcoin.
Of course, he will show up, and then free BTC will start falling from the sky and everyone will be rich and happy I understand that children live in some imaginary world of their own, that they believe in Santa Claus - but ideas like this are crazy. Satoshi has disappeared for a reason, and he left us something big as a legacy, so it will never be clear to me why some people think that Bitcoin as a decentralized currency needs some kind of central figure?

Satoshi disappearance is a myth that will never be resolved, I thought so. It can be an accident caused a death or it is simply a disappearance was made by satoshi when he felt he would leave and let the bitcoin community being truly decentralized without him and his contributions. If the second one is true, I doubt that satoshi stopped watching or contributed to bitcoin developments or blockchain developments. Cryptography is his love so he will never stop loving it. As a result of that, some people believed Charlie Lee (the founder of Litecoin) is real Satoshi (I don't think Lee is Satoshi).
Show up, I don't know he will show up this year or in future but I believe he won't. If he shows up, why he need to give away his bitcoin?

I am terrible at winning any form of give- away that involves a randomly selection Of who to win it, we may not need to wait on satoshi for a Give-away this festive season, I have an account on my other social media giving Bitcoins for people who had been in any way Charitable in the pandemic. The account is flooded, satoshi won't come-back for that.

Bitcoin is logical, this forum is logical, you are logical & I am logical. Yes it is not impossible that Satoshi will show up and throw bitcoin among us. But it is totally illogical, irrational to think that someone will come up to us and starting giving us money, commodity, property, Bitcoin without any kind of reason. It will be better to hear that Santa Claus is coming at Christmas and giving prizes to everyone, Rather than, Satoshi Nakamoto is giving Bitcoin to everyone.

It will create a big impact if Satoshi will decide to show again so I guess this will not happen eiter now or in the future as his actions are kinda scripted like it was being planned in order to protect the bitcoin price.
How many Christmas have passed already since the bitcoin has been created but if he will anonymously drop bitcoin to a random wallets then it will be better so the bitcoin lovers can also receive some gifts from the founder of bitcoin.

I think it doesn't have much of an impact, because part of the total supply is already owned by the investors so that the price drops can only occur when the seller is about to sell it, but until now, seeing the position of bitcoin is still positive, I think it's too early to predict bitcoin will fall more far.

Unlike last ATH, when the price reach it's ATH the price drops faster than before but these year seems different since the price increase we're much focus in btc as well of adoption from known companies. It's quite amazing too that during this Pandemic the price did reach ATH and no sign that dump will start to happen but we need to monitor throughly as BTC is still volatile as ever.
