I do not think so if they airdrop big amounts of bitcoin then the price will be affected because those who are not intersted on investing in bitcoin will sell it imeadiatly and the price will go down.

I think it doesn't have much of an impact, because part of the total supply is already owned by the investors so that the price drops can only occur when the seller is about to sell it, but until now, seeing the position of bitcoin is still positive, I think it's too early to predict bitcoin will fall more far.

Just a few thoughts.

1) I think Satoshi was Dave Klieman indeed who passed away.

2) I think that, even if not the above, Satoshi has passed away.

3) If I am wrong about (1) and (2) above, I'm confused? Because 'surely' if Satoshi was alive he would have anonymously done

a private seed message on one of the known accounts proving that Craig Wright was a fraud. No fanfare, no announcement..just 1 BTC moved from one

known Satoshi wallet to another known unused and for sure a Satoshi wallet, from back in the day. That is so simple and elegant and I just can't

see Satoshi letting Craig Wright get up in front of folk for $$$ fees etc. Would not happen if Satoshi was alive IMHO. So now even more sure the

options here (1) (2) and (3) cover all the bases and likely correct. Satoshi has 'passed away' sometime in past. Sad

4) If all my stuff above is correct that means that ALL that Satoshi Hoard of BTC HODL addresses and such, will never be moved or sold and

can be discounted in the future as they have been discounted from 2009 onward or as of now come January 2020, not an 'issue' for 12 years! Smiley

Anyway, with the simple making of a seed message using private keys and/or simply moving BTC from 1 wallet to another from the Satoshi Legacy Addresses...

too simple to do. And again, IMHO, if Satoshi was alive, the FAKE Satoshi Craig Wright would have already been slapped down hard as a fake. Smiley

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

OP thinks Satoshi is Santa or what?

If you were an inventor who made something, would you spend Christmas giving it away for free?

Maybe Elon should be giving a free Tesla to everyone and Bill gates should give a free copy of Windows, because it's holiday season ho ho ho! Grin

Not likely a santa but you know big companies had made good profit due to the fact that their workers are motivated and wanted to stay in a company they are working due to some excitement even a little gifts for them. This will be seeing as a sort of motivation for the workers in case to us the bitcoiners. What do you think could happen to the forum when giveaways will be conducted? I think more and more bitcoiners will come over to the forum and enjoy the stay.

Satoshi is not a company CEO.
Bitcoiners are not his employees.
We don't need to be motivated to use Bitcoin.
Satoshi doesn't need to organize giveaways because his idea is already popular.

Also, Satoshi is probably dead...

This doesn't make sense to me because Satoshi doesn't matter anymore and stuffs you have mentioned why Satoshi might show up are far from logical and even if Satoshi make a comeback still it won't matter now because now the Bitcoin market is huge unlike what it was earlier and now one person or institution cannot control Bitcoin originally. Satoshi was the past which doesn't matter anymore.

It's a wild imagination that will never happen.

There's nothing Satoshi does if ever he/they will come back, the price of bitcoin will the same unless if there is a FOMO that happens. The price of bitcoin will be spent on us as a community, not by Satoshi, so even if he/they will come back the price won't ever change if you will expect a sudden growth. The demand and supply of bitcoin were controlling us because we are holders and because of us bitcoin supply has been lessened and the demand will become big and that is the reason bitcoin becomes expensive.

Give us bitcoin? but how? LOL Cheesy

I cannot imagine that Satoshi will show up and plus he will share his Bitcoins. Imagine how market would react to this situation? It would be better that he wouldn"t share. In my opinion it would be his first mistake then...

Even Santa Claus won't share his bitcoins, lol. Secondly, why do you care if Satoshi will show up. There's no need for his showing up, and likely no much effect apart from the news that'll be saying he's back. Let's just focus on what he has given us, and that is Freedom.

Very unlikely. He already made it clear years ago that he wouldn't be revealing himself. All this years bitcoin was able to thrive without his public presence and people are still eager to learn who he is. Like is there a treasure hunt meant for him where whoever will find the real Satoshi will earn something? Because if no is the answer then I don't see the point why we have to waste time and energy looking for a guy that is actively avoiding the public notice.

And even if the real one do show up, we'll just shrug him off like he's a dime-a-dozen bitcoin creator claimer. So there's really no point in looking for him because under any circumstance, we will not be able to find him or even recognize him

I'm pretty sure Satoshi Nakamoto wouldn't show up if there weren't any very urgent needs. And all the opinions written
by the opening post weren't strong enough to make Satoshi Nakamoto appear. This discussion has been discussed very often,
and in the end has only generated a lot of speculation. I think just let Satoshi Nakamoto stay anonymous, that's the best
for him and everyone.

Im pretty sure he'll not going to show up even in Christmas day. Many xmas has passed but nothing changed the fact thar Satoshi Nakamoto wanted to stay anonymous forever.

Sharing bitcoin is possible for those who have owned thousands of it. But looking at bitcoin's price right now, Satoshi will remain unknown and untraceable. He already achieved what he wanted to happen for bitcoin. He's contented now.

My question to OP -

Are you sure that the name "Satoshi Nakamoto" represents only one human?

I strongly believe that Satoshi Nakamoto is a name of a group of people behind bitcoin. However, I think they are just doing the right thing by staying anonymous from the prying eye of the enforcement agencies! Because bitcoin is indeed a revolution and governments around the world has found no way to stop this as bitcoin harnesses its power from a decentralized network. So a government just can't visit a single address and shut down the servers.

So now if Satoshi Nakamoto suddenly re-appears, do you think the enforcement agencies will let him live in peace? I certainly don't think so! I wish him/them a Marry Christmas and I wish they live the rest of their life in peace and wealth!

But, I still need to know the chance or possibility.

1. Is there a chance that before the year end there will be a sort of giving or sharing of bitcoin?
2. Is there a chance Satoshi to show up?

The chance of Satoshi showing up is close to zero.
The pandemic has nothing to do with Bitcoin, why would he decide to show up because of the pandemic?
We don't need a "Bitcoin upgrade". Bitcoin Core is going just fine.
Crypto gamblers don't care about Satoshi Nakamoto. They are only about gambling.
There's no chance of Big Bitcoin giveaways. Why would anyone give away an asset, that is getting more valuable?I don't understand this question. Are you begging for free Bitcoins or something?

Satoshi Nakamoto has around 1,000,000 BTC and maybe one day he will show up to give them away to crypto enthusiasts who own a full node.  This person has done so much for the community that I perceive him as the guardian angel of the first cryptocurrency (Bitcoin).

I believe that Satoshi is still alive and is reading our forum anonymously.  It would be a great Christmas story if he announced it now!

However, this is not so important.  Bitcoin has already been created.  The Bitcoin network is functioning.  We're all a bit of Satoshi Nakamoto.

I agree that satoshi will never resurface and, what does Christmas has to do with giving away bitcoin? Just because of the "Holiday Spirit" is here means that we should give something away, that is a BS, unless you are a philanthropist or you are just plain generous. satoshi is not a just a one man I do believe and whoever is behind it is a spending the rest of their lives somewhere peaceful, and let them be to be honest.

It's been more than a decade. What makes you think Satoshi would suddenly re-appear this year?

Also with the "Bitcoin upgrade" part, unless Satoshi is actually a developer right now under a different name, then he couldn't just simply push out updates just because he wanted to.

Satoshi planned to develop Bitcoin in an anonymous way. He wanted it to be successful and at the same time he wanted it to use it around the world without the problems that may arise when there is always a known owner. There will be no partnership that will happen that may cause additional fees, there will be no political issues that may arise, there will be no capitalism that some business owners would grasp because Bitcoin is such a powerful asset. I think Satoshi, hid himself from popularity and publicity because of these.

Me especially having a second thought that the name Satoshi Nakamoto is a fake name, is that really the real name of that dude? Someone going anonymous would not expose his name to be satoshi, instead Craig Wright impersonating on the internet to be fake satoshi, its really awful and weird all around.
Beside, fake satoshi (CW) and anonymous satoshi will never perform giveaway in any form while remaining in a hiding place, can a hiding dude come out to give the public a gift? Impossible.

Over 10 years already and sontoshi Nakamoto have never shown up, I don't think he will show up this Christmas the faceless santoshi Nakamoto is already here with us which is bitcoin.

This is how I think about it too.  If he was going to show up and announce who he really is he would have done it by now I think.
Right now he is a celerity to some of us and he wants to stay anonymous if he is even still living.   For his own safety of threats he will never come into public light. At least I would not If I had his wealth.

Yes, he's going to show up and give us 1 BTC for each merit we have. I have this on good sources. He could easily do it, there's no way we have over 1 million merits circulating around the forum. Maybe we need to start a petition on change.org to remind him that he needs to do this.
