I've only had and still have the iPhone 3s. It's served me well, but I wont be going back. The 3s are built pretty solidly, but the new ones crack as soon as you drop it.

well indeed ... I must say samsung has got good shock durability but when you put rubber cover (1$) on it. Dropped from 1.5m (hand) on a concrete - will not do a lot of damage ( with rubber cover on )

Materials are materials. I'm not impressed by this feat in the nano-tech field.
And you think that engineering, designing, industrializing,..................... and producing those nanomaterials doesn't require stateof the art equipement and knowledge in nanotechnology field ? You are really underestimating this field, I do understand it is not a given and a lot of people have no clue about nanotechnology but please do some reading you'll be really surprised. Humanity is undeveloped. Like I said, I'm hard to impress. http://gizmodo.com/how-nanoparticles-in-consumer-products-could-be-damagin-1561236280

There will be no low prices. It's too expensive to produce the smartphone of this caliber. I think regular 650 eur. is the price here.

Look at the battery technology as an example. Humanity sucks. It should be erased and a v2 started.

Anyone seen the new red version? Looks pretty sexy. I've been thinking about buying an M8 for a few months now and I think I might take the plunge on this one.

They're still pretty expensive. Around £40 per month on contract or about £600 if you want to buy one on Pay as You Go from a service provider, but you can get them a bit cheaper if you look around. You can get them on eBay brand new for around £400 so I'm tempted to do that. They're being released officially sometime next month over here so I might wait and see if there's any good deals. Oh, you can also get a pink one too:

Nice phone, I think I have one for sale if anyone interested
You think? Is it the red one or one of the original colours? I like the glacial silver version but this new 'glamour red' one looks sweet.

I was thinking about buying either a HTC One M8 or the Sony Experia Z2? Does anyone have any opinions on which I should get or the differences? They both seem ver similar on most fronts.
