My advice, if you really want to sell or exchange your cryptocurrency to fiat or paypal, just go to trustworthy exchange sites, there are many of them.
See if I can I do all my trades through the forum. I just exercise caution, one of the reasons I advocate for appropriate uses of feedback. I hve a few places I go to if I can't get waht i want don on forum, but try to limit that activity as much as possible. When I first got into crypto my I used my countries largest exchange, they were as legit as legit can be, until they weren't and 80% of what hey were supposed to be holding was gone.
It is definitely a reasonable alternative, but I would also be very cautious anytime you start using one of these exchanges
New generations want modern ways of communication, which is quite logical - but they do not understand the dangers that come with it. Completely strangers offering great earning opportunities, handsome girls to whom BTC is stuck on an exchange and only need 0.02 BTC to pay a fee or scammers pretending to be famous forum members are just some of the easy ways to be fooled. These are no longer isolated cases, but I would dare to say that these are organized criminal groups for which such things have become the main source of income.
Exactly it's convenient and if they use it to socialize they likely feel as comfortable as I do navigating the forum. The problem lies when they begin to use it for anything involving money as they have a false sense of security and then it's too late. It always stats off so nice and sweet, with a bro, or a dear, or my friend, all the niceties the world, to get your money.
It is a shame but there are a lot of places in the world where this is seemingly acceptable behavior, and is most definitely a business for some.

That's actually the topic that inspired me to come issue the warning.
