How many coins/tokens do you think will survive in 2021?

I think that only 10% coins/tokens that would be able to survive and will be worth investing in 2021.
There are currently 2400 tokens that are known and many unknown to anyone. By the end of the year 2020, at least 100-200 new tokens will be created. Every day in the world there are 5 new airdrops. I think it is not realistic to calculate. But I'm pretty sure new tokens are being created more than they are being deleted.
But we have to buy only good market capitalization coins. Don't invest money in shit coins.

We have thousands of altcoins, most of them are "utility" coin / token. I think, As long as they meet the needs of the user, create a benefit or utility with quality and liquidity. It still makes sense in this ecosystem. Some people are only free in terms of how to think about investing, but crypto will give as much freedom as possible for those who use it. I think "shitcoin" purification will be difficult to execute.

I think that the disasters of covid 19 will create a positive change in the market, many organizations have changed their minds and are more sympathetic to cryptocurrencies. There will continue to be more quality projects to make altcoin come to light this year. Please be a user, a crypto private home. With the exception of bitcoin, altcoins are also influential and a good catalyst for the market. With 8,000 cryptocurrencies listed in coinmarketcap,  1,000 to 2,000 cryptos can survive I guess. It is better to invest in the top cryptos in coinmarketcap because for sure it will survive for long than investing a new crypto which we don't know if it can survive. It is really risky to invest in new crypto but chances that it might go pump, better to research the project first if you willing to invest their crypto.

During the boom, which can last even the entire year 2021, not many coins will disappear. The bear market is much more devastating, but even the one that lasted throughout 2018 and most of 2019 failed to destroy the coins that seemed to be at the bottom. I think many coins will actually disappear, but the cryptocurrency market is still growing, so in my opinion, the number of coins in the market will continue to grow regardless of the situation.

Depends on what you mean by "survive". If you mean someone somewhere is still hodling on some DEX somewhere, literally every coin is still surviving in this way. Even Onecoin scam and Bitconnect somehow still survive where people haven't heard it's a scam.

nothing will change this year , we have been seeing those coin for how many years and yet they are surviving , if there are some coins that will die this year ?those are the coins who's riding in DeFi and Polkadots now , because how many projetcs that wanted to connect on those popularity are now seemingly out as scammers so by chance?

So many projects were pumped to the moon but these projects were going back to the bottom again. As far as i know the pump will be only for short term period for the crap coin.
The shitcoins will be dumped again while the good coins will remain stable  and as far as i see if the market is very selective at this moment too.
People are also going to the coins that had very good fundamental. People will not blindly invest in the crap coins.

@jacafbiz, It was not the case of a bullish market cause only coins that had a huge enthusiasts fan base will benefit from the bullish market and the altcoins that are manipulated by the team involve just to lure investors.
Nevertheless, if you check the market cap you'll see that some altcoins didn't experience a surge in price till now.

quality crypto are the one that will survive but non quality crypto are not because they are only hype at the start but eventually they will lost it and people will crawl back at the quality ones . its okay if many alts are going to die if those alts are useless so that we can get a clearer vision of those useful alts .

I think 90% of tokens / coins will survive 2021; i see 2021 as a repeat of 2017 where there was bitcoin price success and there were introduction of several tokens, projects, product; and then the altcoins bull season. If you noticed since last week; binance smart chain tokens are experiencing all time highs; price growths etc. There will be more tokens surviving 2021

We will see many altcoins still survive in 2021 because the coins and tokens are already at the market, and the developer and the teams need to work hard to survive, even if the market got another bear market. I am sure what they already did will reward them, and they will see their coins or tokens will have a good position.

All those shit coins are those that will die off at the end of the bull because they hype and pump as fake projects. However , nobody can say this or that altcoins will disappear from the market but surely those between the top coins will still survive the heat if it starts.

But one way you can know a coin that won't make it is when the team are not working, if they have abandoned it and not creating new and purposeful innovation, they won't have investors. This will at a time pull down the project. So investing in top coins still the best .

It is not necessary that if a token/coin has high market capitalization, it means it is worth it. If a token with a total supply of 100 billion gets listed on a shit exchange where you see buy orders set at price $0.0001 and sell orders at $0.01 and if just one buy order happens, it will ultimately bring its market cap to 1 billion USD if coinmarketcap has that token listed there. So this is a subject which needs enough of research to invest and find those good tokens which will give better gains.

If a token with a total supply of 100 billion gets listed on a shit exchange where you see buy orders set at price $0.0001 and sell orders at $0.01 and if just one buy order happens, it will ultimately bring its market cap to 1 billion USD if coinmarketcap has that token listed there. So this is a subject which needs enough of research to invest and find those good tokens which will give better gains.

Actually, you are talking about a bug or a distortion that can occur on Coinmarketcap. This type of situation happens very rarely, and as far as I know, this is mainly what pranksters do. However, many people fall for it without carefully checking the situation. Anyway, these are only temporary errors and do not help the coin last longer. If a project doesn't develop, it will die sooner or later.
The amount of coins on the market is still increasing, so we will not even notice that several dozen or even several hundred disappeared during the year.

You totally misunderstood me, why would I be promoting a DEX. All I'm saying here is how easy it is to keep a coin alive.

I can even dig up an old ERC20 and put an open order on any DEX, and it'll be alive. I can buy and sell it every day to make sure it stays up on coinmarketcap/coingecko even if at low volume.

So those who just invest in any coins without any proper research may find themself in bad shape. Agreed with you it's much tricky thing to find the hidden gem with huge potential even there are still a lot of projects exists who are moving under the radar and a lot of worthy development going on. I also think it is good option for new comers to pick the top projects are investment as they are much safe as compare with low cap.
