i don't think ethereum is scam i really think you don't understand how the market works, not because the bitcoin price increase doesn't mean that the ethereum must follow. what happened before was just a coincidence and does not related to each other.

No one says that ethereum is a scam but it's talking about the possibility for the big dump to happen again. We know that this time the market seems facing another correction.
Ethereum gets dumped so hard only on a few hours and bitcoin too.

It's great if you still hold Ethereum in your wallet as one of the asset that you put into your portfolio. Ethereum has the potential to hit ATH this year if bitcoin doesn't fall. But if bitcoin crashes, then I don't think ethereum will be able to peak like it did in 2017.

I have happily recommended some friends to buy ethereum since November 2020 and luckily they took the risk and at this point I believe they have made a lot of profit. But now, I seem to prefer to refrain from buying assets in the market because the price in my opinion is quite high. There is a risk I have to consider if I am going to buy and that is accepting all the consequences of the trade should the price fall.

I'm not sure of the truth, but there are more predictions coming from the experts stating there is big growth to happen with ethereum by this year. The important thing, it could reach $20k which is something big. When I saw the statement I remembered the old days after the bull market reaching $1400.

After the bull trend of 2017 market crashed after ath, but people were speculating that the upcoming year is for ethereum. We can expect a competence growth against bitcoin and so on. Always remember that prices doesnt correlate from time to  time.Bitcoin market might rise but doesnt signify that altcoin would really do the same move.

The same can be said for any other altcoin. Everyone has the right to invest in the cryptocurrency that he considers profitable for investment. I do not understand a bit why some of the members of this forum are so negative about Ethereum. Well I congratulate you. ETH at $140 was a good buy. There was a few that had bigger gains but you had to get very lucky and you would lose alot (trying to find the right one).

So yeah if ETH crashes again to ~$100 i definitely recommend buying.

I would suggest you to look at KoinOS it only got listed at coinmarketcap today and its got a very interesting whitepaper, maybe eth killer in the future.. . Very low market cap and good team. They have a couple of videos/interviews on youtube and previous experience with blockchain projects too.Actually justin from TRON bought their project and they were mad and started CoinOS.  This will easily go to $50 mil marketcap in my opinion and from there who knows?

I do not think that there is any need to worry about Eth price at the moment because we all know btc is always the one that moves ahead of the market when bulls overtake but with recent movements in price i expect Ethereum to really pick up and moon in next few weeks, lets see how it goes.

More expensive only good for those who has bagholding eth for god knows how long meanwhile for the people who missed the train they gonna hate it. But, most of crypto can be bought in fraction so there's nothing to worry about fewer room to grow and bigger market cap or trading volume make it less vulnerable against market manipulation or panic selling but still vulnerable nonetheless. I think there's no problem with crypto being more expensive.

This is the crypto market and as much as there are technical and fundamental analysis there is a fluidity of great falls or great increases. The big question in my opinion is whether the project is worth such a high valuation to avoid the effects of bombs and evictions. I didn't loose any money staying in Ethereum, I bought a small amount of it when the price was still below $1000 and currently I'm in profit, eth doubled the amount I invested in it,so for me eth is no scam, it has even broken the previous ATH, I'm expecting it to hit $2000 before the bull run ends, don't forget the price of any crypto is determined by demand and supply.
