150GH/s seems way too much, doesnt it?
The coin has just been launched, none of the pools is working, unable to mine solo, isnt there too many coincidences? Is "someone"trying to premine more than the official premine?

Or - how are we supposed to understand that?

PS: Is anyone able to soo mine? I have set port to 1111, just as its in the .conf, but still the miner doesnt even start.

like i totally understand people being suspicious and cautious but if you just look at rotocoin, it had a similar situation to this and its got off the ground ok, i would try to give every coin a chance at least, let the dev release some sort of statement or events before condemning it to die

cryptopool.eu frontend is back online and working!

And it's down again. And back up. And down again. And stratum has failed to connect for 10 minutes now. Need more pools to spread out the hashrate!

Yes, please! Pools! I'll check back on this coin tomorrow. I can't be burning up my CPU with trying to mine when the only working pools keeps going offline. I really like this coin. Please don't let it die!

Update:

So Last nights lunch was kind of ruined by a single user named 1211 getting the source code early and mining for a good 30 minutes before the actual launch time of 20:00 GMT... Yes i had uploaded the source about 1 hour before ready for the launch but did not posted any links. I was wrong to assume that no one would troll Github for it within 1 hours of launch, and to assume that 'Launch time' actually meant 'Launch time'

As a result the difficulty was pushed up way to early. Kimoto Gravity Well is coded in to start at block 1000 but we are only at block 651 and the difficulty is currently at about 10.9. As people have had problems with getting on the pools, they have left the network and now the difficulty is stuck too high for the remaining few.

To get things moving again i'm going to re-code the wallet and fork this off to a new chain, so that KGW starts from block 500, that way at least we can get the difficulty back to a minable level

You will all need to updated your wallets to the new code asap after i release it later today

Sorry for the inconvenience.

On second thoughts as there are still loads of people mining, i'll put this decision to a poll vote. Please vote whether on both the following:

Should i fork this coin off so the KGW is running immediately? or Let the difficulty naturally level out and wait for KGW at block 1000?

Please use the poll to vote!

Really dude? You have 10k Kilr? There are some of us who haven't been able to mine any Kilr yet because of the lack of pools, and you're asking for donations?  Huh

It was unfortunate that a lot of pools never got things started and the only one that really worked got DDoSed to smithereens  shortly after launch (probably by competetitors that for some reason decided it was better to attack that  pool than to get their own pools working... at least that is my theory).

Right now at least the http://kilr.cryptopool.eu is working and I am still getting regular payouts.

And as if the problems have been many already, one of my rigs have crashed completely. I hope things will get better from now on...

everyone should give new coins a chance like this one hasnt even properly got off the ground yet, but when it has i think everyone can make judgements.
