How to take BITCOIN profit without selling?

Hi Friends,

I hope you all are enjoying the BTC ride 

in Some youtube videos I heard some analysts talk about taking profits in bitcoin without selling bitcoin.  some of them even said that they doubled their Bitcoin amount in this bullrun. They don't explain how exactly to do that.

I tried to research and can't find any way to do that in any of the exchanges I use such as kraken, bittrex or coinbase.

 The only way I know of,  to take profit of bitcoin bull run is to sell some bitcoin which means the bitcoin holding will reduce.

So, I am just wondering is it really possible to take profit without reducing bitcoin holding?  Am I missing something here?

You forgot to click their links. 
That link will still direct you to trading with sign-ups and maybe even needs an initial payment to maximize revealing their secrets.
I'd go away from watching all those advertisements on Youtube.
Anyway, if it's not a trading simulation then be more careful. It could be HYIP.

But taking profits IS selling for profit. If you don't sell them(at least some), you technically haven't earned off the price appreciation of your coins.

As for the "doubled their Bitcoin amount" part, since we're talking about a bull run anyway, I'm pretty sure they meant that the USD value of their coins doubled. Or unless, they traded successfully until they actually ended up doubling their bitcoin holdings through spot/leverage exchanges.

You can't take your profit if you don't sell your Bitcoin.

If that is doubled their Bitcoin amount, I have doubt that it is an HYIP.  This most likely a scam investment, they give promises to doubled the amount of investment using Bitcoin or the unsustainably high return but in the end, it will end up to scam once they collected a huge amount.

Stay away from that promises, Bitcoin investment doesn't work like that, or even in trading, you will use your Bitcoin in different transactions.

Anyway, let us know that video so that we can give further explanations and advice to you.

For the OP question I think there is no way to take Bitcoin profits without selling, if there is a way please show me, I'm also interested like that.

Like others have already said, you can't take profits without selling your bitcoin. Although you could technically sell bitcoin at its high prices and then buy back at every pullback. This strategy would essentially get you more value in both BTC and USD. Those youtubers you followed, if they want to show you how they doubled their Bitcoin without any shady schemes, they would've done so. Since they didn't, it's safe to assume it's a shady scheme. It sounds too good to be true because it actually is.

This is the only way the OP's situation relies on, or maybe he is wondering more in such way that it is only just HOLDING the coin. You don't sell, yet you see you are having profit.

Not selling it isn't a successful profit, nor taking the profit after all. Hence, those you see might be the 'estimated profit' out of the entry price compared to current price.

And for the OP, please, never rely on the Youtube 'analysists' alone on making a decision. Never be jebaited on their profit in this bullish market. Since you seemed to be interested in how to earn money with trading, why not start from the beginning? You don't need to rush your way and earn profit, there is a long journey. Don't be feared on missing out (FOMO).

You can consider your are in profits only when you calculate it against some value like any other asset which has value.

For example if you have bitcoin and calculating its value against USD value so when the price of bitcoin increases against USD you will be wither in profits or loss which is not necessarily mean you have to cash it out.

Another method to make profit is actually increasing your bitcoin holding figures which is possible with trading so you can trade bitcoin with any coins and try to increase your bitcoin holding.

Clickbait to view those YouTube videos why would they even said it if they will not even explain it from their side? Surely viewers and subscription hunger. If it's only from their side and they want you or the others to invest or want to solicit something (well, scam) then surely they'll not reducing theirs and they are taking profits from others, joking aside but somehow this is the reality of scamming people in crypto.

Have you still got the thumbnail, link or you even remember the title of the video or maybe that's still on your watch history from your YouTube account, you may better share that one.

so, if i understand correctly, there is no way to make profits without selling BTC in  a regular trading ( without margin/leverage trading). i thought so as well.

First of all, you need to be cautious of the videos you watch on Youtube cause some videos are used to send false information whilst some are used to scam people through ROI investment.
Having said that, the only way I think you can increase your Bitcoin profit without selling your coin is by offering loan service on an exchange which some exchange called investment of BTC on their bankroll and any information apart from all what I said is totally a scam.

You mean like taking profit without selling your initial investment? Example, you invest $1000 and it increase to $1200, you sell $200 and leave the $1000 Intial investment?
Or you mean not selling atall, like subtracting profit from Intial investment and sending the profit to another wallet you control?

I will recommend you OP that from now on you never watch whatever channel or channels where you got this information, they either do not know what they are taking about, in which case why are you listening to them at all? Or they are spreading misinformation on purpose in order to scam you or to get something out of you like commissions. In which case you must stay away too as they only care about extracting money from you in one way or another.

OP there is no such thing, if you want to obtain fiat profits out of your bitcoin holdings then you need to sell, this is true in this market and in any market as well.

Financially yes it's possible but not exactly in a way that you are saying. Financially you can create a hedge for your current position in a way that no matter how much bitcoin's price moves upward or downward you will always be in profit. But this doesn't means you will get this amount to use in your account. An example for this is that suppose you buy one bitcoin at a price of $35000 and then after you get some profit and suppose btc price reaches to 38000 you sell short 1BTC worth futures at a price of 38000. Now if BTC moves downwards you will lose on your holding of bitcoin but will gain on shorting the BTC future but at the same time if the BTC price moves upward you will get no profit as all your profit on BTC will be set off against the future you shorted.

They are just trying out to deceive people and this is what i felt when someone do make up some clip hanger on what they do really meant.For sure to those who had watch those videos
will really behaving  that question in mind on how its done and thats the time they would really be asking it out and thats the time on offering out some service.

When we do talk about profits then that would basically talks on selling it out and neither it would be converted into something stable neither on a stable coins or on fiat itself.

If you havent make any steps then it wouldnt be considered as profits but you can actually see your gains but not had been realized or finalized.

those traders are talking about margin trading.

the only way to take profit "in BTC" is to use a margin platform like bitmex, deposit margin collateral, go long/short, and then close the position in profit. when you take profit, you are only closing your margin position, not selling your coins.

you couldn't sell BTC for fiat on bitmex even if you wanted to. they only offer contract markets.

If nothing is done then don't expect to gain profit without doing something and that means you have to sell. Those videos in youtube is always trying a new way to make content and that includes lying their viewers or making a click-bait title or thumbnail. But if you watch their video it's just full of nonsense. I'd rather watch history channel or documentary videos than watch their videos which might turn you off or you were just so stupid to believe of what they were talking. Better do some research first before believing those videos.

Unfortunately that is how youtubers make their money, they make all the grand claims and they attract people to their channel, otherwise if you just tell that you don't know what is going on, they are not going to give you any views or ads so you would be a bad youtuber. At the end of the day do not trust anyone when it comes to bitcoin, only trust yourself and what you think will happen, no one else matters.

Warren Buffet is the richest person on earth amongst all people who made their profit by investing, sure there are others who are richer but they all have a product or a business, Warren Buffet made it with investments. However when it comes to bitcoin he said it was in a bubble, that was about 2 years ago, now we are ten times bigger. So anyone in the world could be wrong about bitcoin, never trust others let alone some youtubers.
