If you are really saying the truth then congrats to you because you will now be rich from that but I don't think that you are telling the truth, I don't know your purpose of creating a new account just to create this kind of story but for sure you just want bitcoin to get dumped so you are doing this thing but anyway if that's true then for sure you have got the good answers for what you have going to do for it.

It's good that you bought bitcoin the year 2010, I suggest to sell it not all because it is risky I suggest to sell it few only and the rest is sell in the other day or weeks. This is my dream that I bought bitcoin in that year because that year is the cheapest value of the bitcoin and those people who trust bitcoin on that year and have it until now are gain a lot of money or they are a millionaire now.

Hello
after 12 years i remember i bought bitcoin in 2010
is it possible to sell more than 50,000 bitcoins at once or is it better to sell direct to a private individual like grayscale or microstrategy?
Wow, that's a nice amount to have at this time!!!

I'm sure you area aware that this is a large number of BTC and if you was to sell it all at once you could send the entire  market into a plunge, and worse, end up having your order executed at lower than the original price.

This is why it is best to sell in batches. This way you know your order will get filled without any further complications. Good luck!

Very lucky, of course, if it is true and clearly real, I agree with you that if you sell everything in large quantities it will clearly affect the market which could happen. but hopefully that doesn't happen and just in the shadows there may be other alternatives.

I am also amazed but confused by the OP can have a lot in 2010, but he did not hear the big news that we know that in 2017 there was an increase too. does the OP also not know? why only now knowing, for me this is more than amazed than receiving information he has a large number of bitcoin !!!

be happy with these fantastic bitcoins.

Why just remember, why don’t you use it for the pleasure of your life and start a business in the real world. If you have that much BTC
you are already quite successful in the world of cryptocurrency investment.
Holding bitcoin for 12 years is a very long time.

You will have a better chance to find him on social media than in this forum, as you said meeting him on a paradise island, such people tend to have a lifestyle that is usually shared on social media like twitter, instagram, facebook, etc.
I'm wondering, have you decided how to sell 50000 bitcoins? is it all at once or partially in stages?

If serious, you might want to use escrow. 1% fee or maybe even less. I'll accept 1/5th of 1%. I suggest to DCA (dollar cost average) out over the course of several months.

That is a huge amount of coins that may make it really hard for you to cash them out all at once. If this is true of course. Exchanges are not expecting this huge of an amount to be withdrawn as most of them can get all their liquidities dried (no pun intended). Which leads to issues comprising of suspected hacking or fraud which your account may get flagged for. So it's much better to cash them out little by little

Well, if you really bought bitcoin at that time, that is really good news for you to know that the value of bitcoin as of now is really high, hitting a new all-time high and even doubled since 2017. Imagine buying a bitcoin at such a low price, you are already a millionaire right now.  That is really good but the fees are high, but knowing that you are holding a lot of bitcoin, that is still good. I am also wishing that I bought bitcoin at that time but I knew bitcoin in 2017, and the price is already high.

most exchanges cant handle that worth of token, even the binance and Kraken, so it is advisable to sell through OTC, where they find an average price and sell in bits to manage the market. Such huge amount can dump the market for a long while. Even for grayscale acquiring that size they are not selling soon and they understand it, even at the bull market if they need to sell it will only be a few from high price to attain the amount of fund they want.

Knowing all the potentials and having this huge amount of assets, grayscale are knowledgable enough to understand how big might be the impact of taking this and selling it in one instance.

There's a difficulty selling this huge amount of assets, lots of questions might be raised once this certain amount be transferred to exchange wallet or in the other side, a risk that hackers will chase this wallet once they've noticed this huge amount of coins being move, knowing the abilities of those illegal doers, chances being taking away from your possession is really a high risk.

Probably he is just joking.
I'd never think that someone, a single person holds that amount of Bitcoin is a single wallet address. That's wort huge if converted to fiat money and probably it got attention to the cybercrime group if that he caught and might be in question.

@OP, better not to engage in any parties. Make sell into different exchanges, spread it in small chunks if you wanted not to be suspected of any malicious activities (I hope you are not doing this). Make it now or you make yourself vulnerable to hackers.

Hey buddy, tell me I'm wrong.
I picture a 30 year old guy over weight living in his mothers basement , never had a job. Waiting for his mother to come home from work with a pizza for you .
There you'll sit dreaming with pizza dripping down your chin ,savoring all the attention your getting on this forum.
What others are you on?  Are you an anonymous winning race car driver too.
Don't fall asleep with that pizza still in your mouth .your Mom can't afford the funeral cost after supporting a loser like you .

Wtf! Shocked Shocked That’s over a billion dollars if you’ really mean this!!! Cool You shouldn’t sell that amount of money at once, and I wouldn’t even advise you to sell it by using a centralized exchanges, if I was the one I will make use of P2P exchanges, there are lot of them where I live and they offer good services.

If you try selling it at once, and move it all to a centralized exchange, you might encounter a problem with them as they may try to verify the source or something, and then if you send the huge amount of money to your bank at once you will have a serious question to answer, and it gets worse if you can’t prove it. Selling it bit by bit and using P2P would be best, don’t be in a hurry.
