If you have sell your btc for 40k and buy your alt when btc reaches 29 or 30k, then it is a wise decision. But if you sell it at 40k then buy alt immediately, then it might have been not wise though altseason may have not yet started. So your action may really be a risky trade in your end.

It's clearly said by him if he has sold it to buy the altcoin when bitcoin was around 40k. I just expected if he was getting small profit to consider the bullish trend of altcoins were happening when the bitcoin was very stable around 36k. I think that he has already got nice profit but if he was using it for the long term and he may end with the loss.

I think you made the wrong decision, because if you want to invest in cryptocurrency for the long term, then a good investment in the long term is Bitcoin, so it is better for you to save your Bitcoin for the long term than you sell Bitcoin to buy altcoin and if you really want to invest in altcoin, then it is better for you to add your capital in cryptocurrency than to sell your Bitcoin to buy altcoin.

I think its a bad idea on buying altcoins after it reaches new All time high because I think you are a kind of crypto enthusiasts who is FOMO. However I suggest that if you want to invest in altcoins better always buy in dip and hodl it in long term because in that way you can wait for the right timing to sell it with very profitable earnings.

Once the break out is confirmed, it is likely for the altcoins to move up. So if any altcoin reaches it all time high and close an hourly candle above the breakout and then retest the resistance and breakout, that's the time you can buy the coin for short term profit.

There's always open opportunities to those who understand the market.

I understand that the Altcoin market share has increased from 25% to 31% during the last 10-15 days. But I don't think that they will be able to maintain this share. Obviously the pattern is similar to what we witnessed during December 2017-January 2018. Back then Bitcoin first hit the ATH level, and then started declining. Most of the alts had their ATH, around 3-4 weeks after the Bitcoin ATH. But this time, there is hardly any hype in the market for alts. It's never a good idea to buy altcoins or even other coins at their all time high price, if price goes down you will lose money faster, even for a newbie like yourself it's far safer to invest when market is down, I still don't get why people only invests when price is pumping

Some people think they are very smart and will buy soon after btc peaks and real alt season starts but to be honest btc peak is not easy to find and most peopel will lose taking this risky strategy. The best time to buy is from longterm support areas during downtrend.

I notice that moat altcoins just go with the price of bitcoin. And since the price got so high there is really a big possibility that the price will make a correction and for sure, altcoins will do the same. OP didn't make the right decision of buying altcoins during the hypes but he believes that buying those profitable coins will give him a good return either. He's taking more risk than you but I think, he might get more profit than keeping holding altcoins that never have a chance to grow.

If you didn't wanna deal with the risk and how can you earn a profit from the market? do you see ethereum right now and it has been getting another big pump again. He must have leaned about to buy at the dip but when the market will never be going down again and you will be also losing your money.
