I first found out about it only in 2013! And I'm an avid internet user. However, I still don't get it how I missed the first train. On the other hand, many people who found about it in 2009 might have said "what's this joke, not interested".
I haven't missed the 2013 train, only the 2009 one to clarify.

Depending on what certain month you've found out about Bitcoin, it's pretty much priced only around $100-$600(via CMC). That's pretty damn cheap and sure is damn early to me; also knowing that you had enough time(4-5 years) to snag some at sub $1000.
Personally, I've gotten into Bitcoin in 2016 when the price was around $700. And though that's hella cheap as well, I didn't have money to start with back then unfortunately, and it didn't take much time to climb into the 4-digit range.

Yes, but must have been a great period in 2009-2010. Faucets giving 5 BTC, Pizza for 10,000 BTC, buying 1 BTC for a few cents... must have been quite an adventure. I regret missing it for all the fun involved not to mention the amount of BTC I could have saved.

Well, the funny thing is, many (tech avid) people I know asked themselves late 2017 how they could have missed the Bitcoin train all the years. In early 2018, they were very happy they missed the train and almost forget Bitcoin again. In late 2020, same people asked themselves again how they could have missed the train again A never ending loop.

But they weren't worth much back then. At the time, you could buy a lot more BTC for a couple of dollars than waste time on faucets. And, probably, you could make the same argument in five or ten years again.

There still a good time to make it with BTC. For me I got involved in crypto early 2014 but don't have money to invest back then, mostly I do faucet to get some free satoshi. I have no regrets for it now because there still a good time to invest

btc used to be not as expensive as now it is proper that people are not interested in btc after knowing btc can be expensive like now it is very deserving of people regretting it including me very sorry when the price of btc dropped drastically in 2018 i ignored it did not benefit the opportunity.

You missed the pump in 2013. I think, there is nothing wrong with that, because at that time most people were trying to avoid cryptocurrency. Very few people used to hold or use crypto. At that time there was very little positive news about crypto. So it is not uncommon to miss the bullish candle of 2013-17. But what about now? Did you able to catch the bullish trend of 2020? I hope you caught the 2020 train. If you can't, then it's really mater of shame & unfortunate for you .

I've missed the 2009 train, not the 2013 one.

I guess back in 2009 Internet users thinks that double spending will just be too difficult to solve. I was already working online back 2008, sharing my skills to contribute some Linux derivatives but have not tried exploring the blockchain until 2015 when I finally got few BTC that was given to me as a salary for editing the CSS of wordpress theme. I have no idea it worked but just tried storing it on blockchain.info wallet. If I just knew it would be this big, I probably wouldn't spend BTC, your regrets and also my regrets.

Maybe I am rich right now if only if I found Bitcoin way back 2009 but sad to say I was just a less fortunate guy. I had no computer, no internet and no mobile phone at that time which is the key to not missing the first train. I feel sorry to those who found Bitcoin so early but does not believe on the idea because it's their biggest regret that they've never forget for their entire life.

Meaning you are one of those people who are pioneer about bitcoin if you found out bitcoin on that year, however you are also one of those people who said that bitcoin is a joke and you lose your interest way back then. Because if you have entrusted bitcoin from the very start then probably you are not regretting on what the bitcoin has done on the past years especially this year. You may regret that thing but always remember that your time may come soon so better don't bother on thinking and regretting those memories, maybe it would be a lesson for you so that next time you will not regret on what you have been done.

I totally get what you mean; you know, buying bitcoin so cheap that it's almost like you're just buying play money. Sounds lovely, ain't it? But mate, you gotta be very happy getting in THAT early. I'm guessing most of us here came into this space at 2016/2017 or later. You had a 4-year head start! and 4 years is a pretty pretty sizeable amount of time.

There is also the open question of whether you could have known BTC would do so well beforehand.
At the start, it was just a side project worth only a few tens of thousands of dollars. An early 2010 user tried to sell 10,000 BTC for $50 and couldn't find any buyers!

You might have some BTC in an address in claiming those faucet sitting around your storage disk. Who knows, since we ought to ignore little things, you might forget that once upon a time you click a faucet claiming Bitcoin when it was around less than a cent. Try to remember harder maybe you misclick your mouse claiming a Bitcoin faucet during those days.
