First CPU Cheetah Block Mined on Rebased 0.13.2 Alpha Wallet
Today marks major milestone for Cheetahcoin core code rebasement into bitcoin v0.13.2 with CPU internal miner restored. Lots of dev road blocks have been resolved and bugs fixed by cloning similar work from Nengcoin (NENG).

One block was found to be mined overnight in 8 core 64 bits x64 computer using "cheetah_cpuminer" method.

Cheetah_Cpuminer version "chta1.5.0" Released for Cheetahcoin

 The newest macOS or linux uses python3 as default while the Cheetah_Cpuminer software only works on python 2.7 or python2. The readme and installation
scripts are updated on this version.

Cheetahcoin core v2.1.0 is released.  This is major release and recommended for all cheetahcoin users and miners.  Please download new wallet here: https://github.com/ShorelineCrypto/cheetahcoin/releases/tag/v2.1.0


This version is rebased off bitcoin v0.13.2 with full in wallet CPU mining capabilities.  All CPU miners on PC/MacOS/Linux/Android phone/Chromebook/Pi are recommended to use this new wallet.  This wallet is static linked binary wallet so that macOS on x86_64 or M1 chip hardware on latest or older version of OSX all should work with full CPU mining capability when it is used with "cheetah_cpuminer"  miner.

Try to use latest wallet version  v2.1.0,  then run below on the same wallet, the old send transaction unconfirmed will be removed, you can re-send the coins:

Spike Block Mined at Height 1032596

at block height 1032596 a  10G spike difficulty was mined.

 The block chain triggered a 51% attack protection mechanism,  regular difficulty now is spike diff = 10G until reset,
cheetah diff = 40 are mined after 4 minutes wait time.

Cheetahcoin 1st Halfening on May 15, 2022

Cheetahcoin mining block reward halfened at height 1,050,000.  This is first block halfing event on Cheetahcoin blockchain. On this block height, the block reward cut half from 10,000 to 5,000 CHTA.

The cheetahcoin blockchain triggered a 51% attack protection mechanism after spike block as  spike difficulty (10G) becomes regular difficulty until next difficulty adjustment. The next difficulty adjustment will be reset at difficulty = 40.

Cheetah diff = 40 continues to be mined after 4 minutes wait time by small miners.

Cheetahcoin is pro-ASIC coin like bitcoin/litecoin/dogecoin. The difference is that we are
more in favor of solo mining and also geared toward small home USB ASIC miners or home
CPU miners on android phone/Pi historically. We think this v2.3.0 hard fork in the plan should
lead to better results within our coin philosophy to improve decentralization and our ecosystem.

Here we announce that the new coming cheetahcoin core software release will be on v2.3.0
version with full version tag in wallet “"v2.3.0.0-randomSpike-v1.12.x". This new release will
be expected to have hard fork and also soft forks with extra BIPs. The main purpose of this
new release is to support ongoing dev work for atomic swap based native DEX trading
(AtomicDEX/ShibaDEX) as well as improvement on security against timestamp/DUST
attacks.

Currently Cheetahcoin blockchain is on "Spike Triggered / Big Miner Lockout Period" as described in recent hard fork v2.3.0 report.

Cheetahcoin v2.3.0 Released - Hard Fork on Height 1408590


This is Cheetahcoin core hard fork release on version v2.3.0 for all users and miners with full Version tag "v2.3.0.0-randomSpike-1.12.x".  This is major release with hard fork and soft forks so that all miners/users are required to upgrade to new version wallet.

This new version v2.3.0 will fork on first cheetah block after block height 1408590 for sure. The new release also includes future timestamp limit change and CSV soft forks so that the fork from older version may start on non-cheetah block after block height 1408590.   The hard fork event is projected to happen in 3 weeks in late August, 2022.

Linux QT wallet xkb error is fixed

v2.3.0 Linux QT wallet xkb error is fixed :  https://github.com/ShorelineCrypto/cheetahcoin/issues/43

The newly built linux files have identical files for CLI wallet files. The only changed file is  QT wallet file.
The newly built linux wallet file "cheetahcoin_2.3.0_x86_64_linux-gnu.tgz" was uploaded to release replacing old file.

The new wallet was tested correctly without error in Debian 11.

The Cheetahcoin v2.3.0 successfully hard forked on block height 1411922.  On and after this block height, none of older versions will not be able to sync to latest block chain.

3 CSV soft forks (BIP68, BIP112, and BIP113) Activated


Yesterday Cheetahcoin blockchain had fast moving reset.   Hours ago deployment_csv three soft forks, BIP68/BIP112/BIP113  were activated by the BIP9 method.  To check the status change on this, you can obtain from your full node by typing below:

2 days ago the same command status was "started".  It is now "active"  meaning that deployment_CSV three soft forks (BIP68, BIP112, and BIP113) passed the mining flag over past 2880 blocks based on this source code of v2.3.0 version of CHTA:

The CSV soft forks features of v2.3.0 that are required by Electrum light wallet technology and atomic swap based DEX is ready. Dev team will from now to work on next milestone of Electrum light wallet and Atomic Swaps DEX (AtomicDEX or ShibaDEX).

Make sure download latest version:  v2.3.0 and wait and sync.  Get some Node IP from explorer if needed.

Any old version wallet won't sync. already hard forked, only latest verson can sync now.
