Bitcoin VS Gold - What is better for long term investors?

We buy gold and we buy bitcoin 10 years ago, our balance is very different now. Bitcoin is a better store of value when comparing value, it is clear.

Definitely different, Bitcoin is a huge store of value compare to that of Gold. Although these two store of values represented in the digital and analog ways, i will rather go with the Bitcoin on a long term than to get on Gold on a long term becasue the difference between this two are crystal clear. Bitcoin be deflationary made it better than any other asset in the universe.

Bitcoin is a good long-term investment, if one's ready to wait for years in case the price goes down. It'll eventually give way more profits than gold. But given how volatile it is, at times the investment might be down significantly.
As for gold, it can keep the wealth one already has, and it can be pretty damn stable compared to Bitcoin. But after years, the profits are likely to be close to zero, or definitely below those that Bitcoin could give.
So if the point is not to lose what one already has, gold seems better. If the point is to take the risk and get a chance of earning great profits, then Bitcoin is the one.

I think investments in bitcoin is a much more efficient way for long term investors.
Bitcoin the most evolving cryptocurrency in this modern era of technological advancements as it's a highly evolving electronic payment system.
Bitcoin is a much more recent affair.
Do you know that up to $20,000 cryptocurrency rose per bitcoin by the end of 2017?
The dramatic price swings tend to be much higher as compared to gold.

It depends on several factors in my opinion. If you are looking for something stable in the long term, gold is the better option. On the other hand, if you are looking for quick benefits in the short term, BTC is the better option due to the volatility factor.

Security is another critical factor. BTC is way better in this aspect since it's very difficult(Almost impossible) to hack BTC wallets while it's easier to steal gold in comparison.

There are many other factors, but these 2 are the most important ones to come to a decision in my opinion.

Bitcoin is better for a long term investment, bitcoin has a high demand and a limited supply in the market, we know the fact that the supply is limited to 21million bitcoins.

Compared to gold where we don't know the supply or how much gold that we could mine on the earth, as the technology rises it its easier to mine gold compared in the past years because of the technology.

So we don't know if the supply is high in gold compared to bitcoin where we know how much supply it has made the price surely pump in the coming years.

Bitcoin and Gold are different investments,
1. Bitcoin
Investing in Bitcoin has a big risk and of course the profit provided is also very big, but Bitcoin price movements are very fast (up and down), so we must see the right opportunity to sell Bitcoin and buy Bitcoin, so that we can get profit from investing in Bitcoin.
2. Gold
investing in gold does have a small risk, but the profit you get is also very small and takes a long time, because the price of gold always increases but very slowly, so if you invest in gold then you must be prepared to hold for a long time.

therefore you are ready to invest with a big risk or a small risk, if you are ready for a big risk, then Bitcoin is the right choice rather than Gold, because you can get a big profit from investing in Bitcoin, but if you want a small risk, then Gold is the right choice for you to make an investment, even though the profit you get will definitely be smaller than you investing in Bitcoin.

Bitcoin has exponential power when it starts parabolic adventure but gold don't have such amazing power.

There are many reasons

• Total supply, circulating supply: bitcoin has a fixed total supply (21 million of bitcoin) and people can observe the ledger and point out how many bitcoin potentially was lost forever. They can estimate the rest lively and touchable bitcoin. With gold, you can not.
• It is easier to use news and FUDs to manipulate the market. Whale alert bots, ie. that are used many times to shed lights of big bitcoin transactions.
• Policies: Crypto market is still young and many things will be changed in policies, nationally and globally. It is both challenge and opportunity for bitcoin enthusiasts. Gold market is very old and law, policies are almost in place, there is less things to change.
• Adoption: bitcoin adoption has a future of explosion. With gold, you can not expect the same thing.

That's right, let us see in the last 10 years we will find Bitcoin has grown by 25,000% while gold is only 110%.  most likely in the next 10 years, it will be the same (Bitcoin is up tens of thousands of % while gold only increases by 100-200%).  Bitcoin is much better and of value for long-term investors..

btw, if you are a woman who thinks about appearance then you are better off investing in gold because besides you are investing in it, you can also use it to increase your attractiveness (necklace, bracelet, or ring).

The majority of people purchase gold because it has been a successful hedging asset for thousands of years. The thing is we are now in a very different era, people don't get it. Gold might soon become an obsolete proof-of-value asset. The resource is scarce, but we still have plenty of it to mine. It is not portable and its use in industry is not essential.

Bitcoin on the other hand is scarce by design, highly portable and offers freedom from the system + a viable alternative to the traditional payment system.

From my perspective, Bitcoin is the clear winner here.

Bitcoin VS Gold - What is better for long term investors?

Both Bitcoin and Gold are good  long term investment entities but regarding on whether bitcoin is better than Gold will strongly depend on the investor's investing plans and strategies. You can equally make a good amount of profit with bitcoin or Gold if you understand what you are investing in and what to do as an investor. Personally, I don't see any of these two having much advantage over the other in terms of investment. You only make profit when you invest wisely and at the right time.

If you will base on profit only then bitcoin is better compare to gold as bitcoin was able to generate a 58,192 % of profit already if you were able to buy bitcoin in his all time low.

Bitcoins all time low is $65 and in just several years, your investment were able to generate this huge amount of ROI where we cannot see in gold investment if you are going to hold it for a long term one. Their ROI difference is very far, therefore if you are a wise investor then you should think twice on what to hold for a long term one either bitcoin or gold.

Apart from the fact that I perceived the OP's question as rhetorical, I am sure that this topic has already been discussed many times ..

In this dispute, question or discussion (call it what you want), only time is the key deciding factor. The second key factor is the "limited supply" of gold reserves, of course, much more than bitcoins, but for humanity they are limited by underground mining technologies. But the "Golden Halvin" will not happen soon, at least not in our lifetime, so Bitcoin certainly has the prerogative over Gold, (At least until the massive introduction of quantum technologies).

Bitcoin or gold it doesnt matter because both are good thing for you to invest on. Its just a matter on how much you do look up into those things in individual manner.
Not really a fan on reading up articles or read ups that do make out some comparison nor discussions about bitcoin is being gold or other related topics.
When it comes to long term prospect then we know that bitcoin could have it but we cant deny nor neglect that gold is indeed a store of value too,
it cant just be the same when it comes to movement of price but hey its been here already.

Bitcoin has the classification being a store of value and a currency at the same time. You can use it to purchase things over the internet while having gold, it's just a plain store of value.
But talking about which is better, bitcoin. I'm more confident using bitcoin as a store of value than gold. In places that don't have much idea about bitcoin, you can take advantage of owning bitcoin into that place unlike gold, you have to bring it physically if you want to store it.
Just defining the keywords, store + value. It's easier to store bitcoin even with such huge value for its pricing.

I choose Bitcoin over gold.

A reason why many people neglected to buy and invest in gold is because of slow market growth, very unlikely to see with Bitcoin and that holding for 3-5 years you will make rich. Gold can never be like that and even you hold it for 10 years, you can't expect that your money will be doubled.

Just like what it said by GreatArkansas, we are in modern times where Bitcoin is highly in demand, and that it makes Gold out from the sight.
Well, I know that some investors are still accumulating Gold but it was just a small proportion.

I would chose both 
This two are really different. Both are profitable and but are popular between people. Depending on yourself and your patience you can choose one of them or even both. Gold is a safe haven for investors and usually there is much less rick on it, many people use gold as safe hedge against inflation and usually people invest on gold for long term. In the other hand Bitcoin can help your achieve your goals in short and mid term. But comparing to gold, Bitcoin is much more risky.

My opinion I will go with BTC if you look at the performance of BTC in just few months I don't think gold will give that return on investment. Also BTC is a better store of value than gold because it can be easy store without fear of where you leave or the situates of the locations you are, which as for gold is the opposite.

of course Bitcoin, because you can check the increase in the price of gold and Bitcoin (chart of price movements), then you will know if Bitcoin is the best, because the price of gold rises very slowly while the price of Bitcoin is increasing very fast, although the risk of investing in Bitcoin is very big, because the price of Bitcoin can go down very fast too, but if the price of Bitcoin goes down then you just need to be patient and wait until the price increases again, because the price of Bitcoin will definitely recover (increase), therefore I prefer Bitcoin as a long term investment, because investing in Bitcoin can give me a bigger profit rather than I investing in gold.

If you love to invest in centralized and stable assets go for gold. If you want a decentralized, inflation proof, future proof and high return investment go for Bitcoin. Therefore, Bitcoin and gold can be a good investment if you have extra money then why not buy both? But for me as my personal preferrence I will go for Bitcoin most especially if intended for long term investment.

Something of high value, of course, has a greater risk and that applies to bitcoin, because even though the price is high, there are still many who say that bitcoin is a dangerous investment asset. I personally can't say which one is better, because for me any investment asset will certainly be good and have risks. So, I just feel that any investment asset will be good if it is done well and this is all nothing bad, because everything will bring profit and loss according to the good and the bad with what we planned.
