Anyway, OP was so very optimistic. We can't see it in a real thing for sure even though we think about unpredictable prices. We don't need a high price to get attracted but we need to have a sustainable market and that we should suppose to see on ETH. We are crying about the huge fees and that much more if the price will soar high more than to the price we have today.

Ethereum was a potentially altcoin that was good for investment and good for trading however its reputation as good cryptocurrency was being hit down because of its drawback having a high transaction fee. I am optimistic too for a good future for ethereum and was also hoping fro a high market value (hoping that ethereum will having a market value of 100k) but i guess exchanger should consider to be fair with the transaction fee charge.

Well, this is a long term discussion and prediction. If we will check the market trend and history of ethereum, for the past few years it increased a huge amount of percentage and if eth will follow that trend, then 100k market price value is possible.

It will be possible, ETH is a good coin, its blockchain network is being used by most altcoin especially new system that is booming so far DeFi system.

It can be made as an asset to choose ETH as long term investment, it can pay you as long as you still stand when the bad thing is come.

Take a look with bitcoin, how many times bitcoin was heated by most people? But now? They are wrong. The future technology will give you a good thing in the future not now.

Ethereum will not remain as is now, the team will work on its development to improve what needs to improve, therefore if ethereum will fall now, I guess I would not hesitate buying it as I know and I trust that they will deliver in the long run, this is decentralized compared to other network, the only problem is the high fees but that will be solve in the long run.

It takes long time to establsihed and build trust from the financial industries.

Maybe possible if more and more institutional investors comes around and business owners start to adopt this system, for now we see corrections it's tough to see how your invested money drops in value if you able to pick it from the top.
You have to assess much deeper if what strategy to use, both long and short term do have their respective advantages.

People are still buying it despite the high gas fees.

No matter how much the fees are, Ethereum is becoming a store of value just as bitcoin but it's for the alts. They're already solving the problem with 2.0.

Well for Ethereum to hit $100.000 there should be something really drastic happening with regular markets. Ethereum's current market capitulation is around $150 billion dollars, if you multiply it with 100 it makes Ethereum biggest thing in the world. I mean even Apple has 2 trillion something dollars market cap. I would say its is impossible to happen. It is not only about gas fees. There isn't enough money to buy Ethereum in such high prices. Even if we completely remove Saudi Aramco and Apple and add their capitulation to Ethereum it doesn't hit $100k price.
Only way that it can reach that price is burning coins.

There should be a massive buy to hit your goal to $100k to make it happen. We all know that market is volatile and there is uncertainty if the price of ethereum could reach another all time high in the market. Also there are other options of network because other users looking for a cheap fees when doing transaction. So hopefully in ethereum gas fees will resolve in the future.

No. I don't think ETH will hit 100k$ ever 'cause ETH is useless when price is too high that fees become too expensive.

Maybe after many years, it is just impossible to see ETH at 200k. As you above mentioned most people are not happy with the high gas fee, in this situation ETH can not do anything. The price of ETH is 1.346$, which means ETH was going down nowadays, no doubt ETH has the potential to come back. But this will not be 100k as expected. ETH deserves this price but as l said it will not happen in the near future. ETH will not be higher than 2.5k and it is really maxed.

I'm also extremely bullish on ETH. I'm long on ETH and accumulating more every week. I have no clue about how 2021 will treat Ethereum, however with the development happening in ETH2.0, staking, scaling, and so on I can unhesitatingly say that the new highs $2,489 generally low.

Not just years, I guess we must need a decade of waiting time for seeing ethereum to test $100k levels. Probably when bitcoin is testing $10 million dollar levels, ethereum may test $100k levels. I am not speculating these but in rough estimation I am saying this.

Ethereum may boom when its 2.0 version will be released and addressing the high transaction fee problems. If it fails to address that issue then I guess people may switch over to other altcoins as there are multiple ethereum killer coins are available in crypto space. For now, there are lots of competitions and if this update won't address  the high fees issue, developers and investors might completely switch over to any available chain who offers my cheaper fees.

There are many people who continue being bullish for ETH but if there's no changes and this problem continue they might consider migrating
and investing to other available project.

We’re probably be gone if Ethereum hits that price. Lets be realistic its easy to say about prices but we are not sure of its future, Ethereum has long way to go and there are still many obstacles in its network specially the scaling problem that is burden to its users if that is solve it will gain more confidence. I have increased my expectations into it by making it $10,000 but there's no timeframe as quick as 2023. The ETH 2.0 and becoming POS will make its value higher. Ethereum is about to be at $2,500 anytime soon and that's really quick progress that we've seen before the 2.0.
There's more once 2.0 is there and everyone is holding it.
