The best time is when we high lower lows in 2018 and 2019, which is around $3000'ish.

But if we go on your argument that we are going to hold in the next 10 years then yeah, possible, as you as you have a tough mentality to hold in that span of time. Anyhow, I'm basing on my experience, I have stocks that I hold for more than 10 years so it's doable. The only thing that might sway people though is that crypto is very unstable and risky because of it's volatility.

Maybe thats true, but as for concerned the carbon emission or the pollution out of the bitcoin network is very small compared to the outcome from factories, and other sectors. As technology advance, we're getting more and more eco-friendly and low consumption mining equipments. To the thread title we can have two meanings. It is a beginning to plant more trees, another way is Bitcoin is a long term profiting asset same as the tree. We plant now and to taste the fruit it takes years.

I think the perception of climate impact is the biggest danger to Bitcoin long term.

That is why there needs to be some sort of concerted community effort to change this somehow.

If a small part of Bitcoin's capitalisation could be ploughed back into this, then it would set it apart from other coins such as Litecoin (which is probably bitcoins biggest threat as a store of value - and apart from supply, which is divisible anyhow, there isn't much difference between the 2).

Then again, many miners probably mine altcoins too, so perhaps this is a problem for the whole market and the more coins that join in, the more intractable the problem becomes.

50 to 80 percent of the world's oxygen comes from phytoplankton in the ocean, comparing that to trees I do not think we are putting our feet in the right direction when it comes to carbon footprint reduction. I have to agree with the analogy though, if you were to wait for another time then that time where you harvest the benefits will not come, invest even if there is risk, in the long run those same risks will the things that you will be thankful.

Taking risk today will be fruitful someday. Because if you will not take risk, you will not get anything in the future. I can be 100% sure that you couldn’t have said this particular statement 10 years back.
Now as you have seen the consequences of Bitcoins, you easily claiming that BTC has been rising in the near future.
But will you invest now again op and wait for more 10 years?
Future is always hard to predict, so it’s better to earn quick profits from the holy coin BITCOIN.

Yeah, they say: "The day you plant the tree is not the day you get the fruit". This does not only apply to bitcoin-only but to most of the Altcoins out there except for the pump and dumps coins which we need to be careful. You plant today(buy bitcoin) and you will reap tomorrow or by the time when you've reached the price of bitcoin that you're about to sell. Think of those investors and people that were too early to plant(buy) before.

I believe on the future of bitcoin but I could not compare it like a tree as a tree has slow but consistent growth, bitcoin does not have that characteristics, it's very volatile and a risky investment. However if you treat your investment like that, I would say you are very positive with the future and you are planning to continuedly buying bitcoin to fill your wallet.
