As long as we take care our trees vigilantly and patiently we will be rewarded at some point. And meanwhile it's also important to not stick only with one tree. Diversification is important.

I could argue that planting trees gives you some physical proof of your work while bitcoin exists only in the network..

Because planting trees is not as easy as imagined,  there are always obstacles to maintaining the trees we plant until they bear fruit and we can
enjoy the results. There is a thief who plans to take the fruit from a tree that we have been tending for several years, which analogy relates

Even later than 2009-2011 is an amazing investment. In 2012 - 2013 a it still gave you a 1000x. There won't be anything like Bitcoin again our lifetime I think. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity (maybe it still is, who knows at what price Bitcoin will be trading in on year from now).
