Another year has passed and the new Bitcoin bull run soon will draw more spammers on board.
We just crossed 3M users, so let's see who's the most active in terms of posts Jr. Member with only 1 received merit?

This is not surprising considering that almost all of this user's message history consists of bounty reports.

In terms of activity, this user wrote no more than 200 posts, and although I did not check the content of these posts ... I would not be surprised if these are all the same reports (with the only difference that they were published in the wrong threads).

With the statement that yes, I do have altcoins, and do use that part of the forum, every time I see one of these posts I have the same thought.
"Why don't we just nuke the entire altcoin section"
How much time would be saved by the mods removing junk?
How many scams would not be posted here?
How much crap would just be gone from the forum?

No, it would not just go away, it would move elsewhere.
And you know what, I'm fine with that.

Maybe Theymos could register a secondary domain and slap a copy of SMF on it with an empty database, then use a 301 redirect for that whole altcoin subforum to the secondary domain... I'm pretty sure those spammers wouldn't even notice they were posting their crap somewhere else.

A short brainstorm for tld's:
spamcraptalk.biz
bountyreportspammers.info
spammyspammyspammy.com

nah, i know there are some pretty good posters in the altcoin subforum aswell... People that have valuable input, i'm just sick and tired of seeing those spammers flooding the first page and drowning out any meaningfull topics...

Yep, and I suspect most of the "top contenders" for this ignominious award are going to be strictly bounty hunters who don't post much on the forum.  So the numbers don't really tell the whole story as far as who's the biggest shitposter.

My guess is if you browsed through the altcoin section (like Altcoin Discussion and the speculations section therein), you'd find a ton of members with lots of posts and zero merits received.  Unfortunately I'm allergic to that part of bitcointalk--with one or two exceptions--so I'm not going to volunteer for the job.

I wonder hows the crypto savings/portfolio of this guy from all of his bounty campaigns since he's full time working since 2018.

IIRC, 2018 was the end of the altcoin season and it had become less profitable to engage in ICOs as most new tokens launched were getting worthless; So possibly, the user has not earned that much from their multiple pages of bounty reports and even if they had, they would have been better off contributing positively to the forum and learning from useful discussions.

The risks of engaging in bounty projects and exposing private details like social handles and email addresses outweighs the benefits of a shitcoin potentially being worth something when/if it gets listed.

So he earned $200 since 2018? with 10 accounts he could have earned $2000 and with 20 accounts, $4000. Let us see, $4000 income in 2 years give or take, in a poor country it's not actually bad, that's why I think it's worth it for them to do this, somehow I think he is laughing at us if my calculation is to be correct.

This is what ETHplorer is showing me  Shocked  it looks to be picking up prices from Uniswap as well though some tokens have very low 24 hr volumes. Minereum is the reason for the high figures, and it's trading on Uniswap. I guess the spammer isn't even aware.

1. https://ethplorer.io/address/0x6c71787baf6a240cd597b0cfb7d0047fa37d08fe ~ $ 7,459.89
2. https://ethplorer.io/address/0x63e7f6d11ddecec44419f00e5ab9b55a38a6d5a5 ~ $ 7,591.55
3. https://ethplorer.io/address/0x3ca50302c3e129154579d339ec49baefb96281d7 ~ $ 26.63

The bounty hunters or spammers just join different bounties and leave the rest to chance. Some don't pay, others do. So they join as many as possible with hope that a good chance may come their way.

Minerium is a SCAM and nobody can sell that crap because it is locked, scam developers sent that to many people in random transactions and I think there are several scam accusations topic created about it on bitcointalk forum.
Trying to sell this will only cost him expensive fees now with failed transaction result Smiley

This is what ETHplorer is showing me [...] I guess the spammer isn't even aware.

I bump in with a question... I never knew about website before. I only used etherscan.io. But, after seeing your post, I was curious to check that explorer as well. By pure luck, a thought came to my head, to insert my ETH address in that ETHplorer website.

Surprise surprise! I found that I'm also hodling some shitcoins.

So I found out that I have 888,888 KickToken and 1 YouDeal Token.

I have absolutely no idea where these tokens arrived from in my ETH wallet.

I never gave my address in public; I never used a centralized exchanges. All the transfers I made with this address were with some individuals I dealt Bitmain coupons with.

I searched on Google and I found out that almost a year ago took course an airdrop of 888,888 KickTokens from KickEx to 167,375 random picked users. It seems I was one of these, but I don't know how they found my address as I never listed it anywhere. Any ideas Huh Now about these tokens, they worth indeed nothing and that in order to use them, you have to register to KickEx Exchange and buy some KEX (I believe this is the exchange's native coin) in order to "unfreeze" the KickTokens as they are frozen somehow.

The problem is more curious though about that 1 (one!!!) YouDeal Token. I could not find anything on Google about an airdrop or anything similar. I really have no idea who sent it to me, nor why. Any ideas here Huh

Besides, until I searched my address on ETHplorer I never knew about those tokens before. Things look very weird. I'm not asking these for being interested in the value of those tokens as they worth nothing (the 888,888 KickTokens worth about 10$ and the 1 YouDeal Token (which isn't even listed on CoinMarketCap) doesn't even have a value correlated with USD lol). But I'd like to know how they could appear in my wallet.

They took a snapshot (copy) of the ETH blockchain and then wrote a quick program to find all the addresses that met their criteria and sent them the tokens.
Take a look at this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2247755.msg56041675#msg56041675
It's for BTC, but the same can be done with ETH, or any coin except for the cryptonight and similar based ones that don't work the standard way.
I have had a ton of crap tokens dropped to my ETH addresses (and waves addresses) over the last few years, 99%+ are worthless.

Thank you for explaining all these, DaveF!

So, from what I see, I know now how these two different types of tokens arrived in my wallet... by scanning the ETH Blockchain. I also know why KickTokens were sent to my wallet - that was due to that airdrop and I was one of the lucky (?) ones chosen.

But I still don't understand why I received that 1 YouDeal token... Do you have any ideas about this aspect too? Have you ever heard about this token...?

https://www.youdeal.io/  looks like an abandoned project.
Twitter news has not been updated for almost 2 years
https://twitter.com/YoudealYDC
I think that you should not waste your time on this project, thenthat it closed in 2019, like many others.
I have many different tokens, which cost from 1 to 10 dollars, but the cost of a transaction to the exchange and withdrawal will exceed their cost

If you post 4000x on meta board.
Each post being an undeniable and independently valuable truthful criticism of the status quo that allows most residents here to spam for the highest rates and scam with impunity I would not be shocked if that poster received zero merit along with multiple red tag and a flag on top.

Merit to post ratio is proof of nothing.

Only an in depth assessment of each post can reveal the value of the poster.
Sure this guy could well be a shit poster.

Let's say all of his posts have zero value. They did not assist or provide extra value in reaching or solving the points posed in any thread he posted in with regard to reaching the optimal consensus.

So he is on 0 net value.

Most DT members here are promulgating false and dangerous lies or misleading members away from the truth sometimes successfully

Their net value could be negative 1 million.

Lets be sensible. Most here do not possess the capacity to correctly and optimally assess the value of a post.

Worry less about spammers and those of zero value. Worry more about those misleading with spurious arguments and crushing free speech and creating a dangerous environment.
