I have a finance background and am really interested in Bitcoin. I just started and got a few cents from the faucet (cool idea by the way). But I don't have enough knowledge to run a "mining farm", let alone invest large amount of money in it Embarrassed If you want to help a newbie, please send a few to my address

Someday, when 1 BTC is worth $100, I'm going to regret all these little donations.  Wink

I have a finance background

I think you can offer expertise in that area (maybe writing for the bitcoin weekly http://bitcoinweekly.com/ )?

People openly begging for bitcoins are actually quite rare on this forum.

I am surprised one of them is someone who introduces himself as someone with a "finance background".  Don't you have any money to buy bitcoins, instead of just begging for some?

You could gamble it for more! Wink I'm starting up Bitlotto. Temp site at: bitlotto.webnode.com but official bitcoin account address will not change. The size of the pot so far is such that a 1 BTC ticket will give a 1 in 6 chance of winning a whole 6 BTC. I'm hoping the pot reaches at least 100 though...

*Next Draw Feb 1*  BitLotto: monthly raffle (0.25 BTC per ticket) Completely transparent and impossible to manipulate who wins. TOR

Your best bet would be to try to offer skills you have in order to earn them.  I would follow up on the suggestion about writing for the bitcoin paper.
