Stake.com announces Israel Adesanya as their Global branded ambassador

Moving up to light heavyweight was a win-win situation and I believed he should keep pursuing it to immortalize his legacy. There's no one at middleweight besides MAYBE Alex Pereira. Who's still unranked because he just got to the UFC. It will take years before he gets a title shot.

From a viewers point of view yes he should have moved to the Light Heavyweight division because we would have some insane fights in the future. Who knows even Adesanya vs Jones could have been a possibility. But from a fighter's personal point of view, he made an excellent decision to accept the loss and step down to the original division because this division was honestly too big for him.

TBH I'm not sure the division is too big for him; the fight was tight, but we're making it sound like he was knocked out like some armateur. I'd say the timing was off, but he still lost by decision.

Talking about sponsorships, stake has partnered with Ngannou as well and he's due to fight on 22nd Jan so it would be cool what kind of promo stake offers for the fight  

The stylebender lost his first stake sponsorship match I'm much confident that Nagonnou won't disappoint and yes I'm still waiting for the big promo as well before placing my bet.

This is a match I'm looking forward to as well because it won't be easy. Whittaker defeated Darren Till, Jared Cannonier, and Gastelum to earn a rematch for the championship, but I'm encouraged by some words from Adesanye and believe he'll defeat Whittaker the second time around, but it won't be easy.

I have a point to prove to myself, but just also to like, you know, those people, I just want to shut them the f*ck up. I mean the motivation for me is just that he’s not making excuses like (Marvin) Vettori or (Paulo) Costa.

Sure, but why another fight rematch with two of those you had mentioned less than a year later?
Cannonier in June (from the UFC based channels I have been following) since his last fight is three and a half months later then Pereira in September doesn't seem unreasonable.

After listening to what Jared had to say, and rewatching what he had done to Brunson at UFC 271 earlier this year. I would have to say Cannonier has a good shot at winning this bout.
Vegas has put Adesanya at 4 to 1 to beat him so they are already sold on him winning outright.

I have them on a parlay I had made and have this match not going the distance. Because Cannonier is a submission machine and if it goes to the ground it can be over very quickly for Israel.

Submissions can be done at anytime and he did say he wanted to try different things so yeah, it was possibly and no, I didn't take it by submission as the odds for him to win outright were good enough and rising by the time the match started inflating to a massive @5.20x and I did take him at that.

So we will see Adesanya vs Pereira, the question now is when.

by the way, after i saw the video, i concluded that adesanya has a very fierce and extraordinary mentality. he was able to knock out his opponent in the second round in the 3rd minute. and when fighting, adesanya was very calm against his opponent, but when adesanya gave resistance to his opponent he immediately finished him mercilessly and swiftly. i really like adesanya style

If watching any of the training videos he had done you will see he wanted to grapple more in the his fighting style and after saying he will surprise Adesanya then you had to put two and two together.
But as you and the oddsmakers had proposed with a huge 25x on the option for a sub and even a highly unlikely scenario of him winning the bout against Israel, it was not likely to happen. But as with anything in the UFC..

I was having this same conversation in the main MMA section and most people there think this fight is too soon for Pereira so if Dana is greedy he should also be prepared to upset people if he makes this happen though right?

I have not seen for myself all of the fighters or if they have others more 'deserving' than Pereira so I guess we just have to wait and see. So you mean it is not usual to have these types of fights so soon?
