I recommend buying top altcoins only because they are good for long term, if you go below top 20 as my own maximum you are taking huge risk, you talked about DeFi projects, are you trying to consider DeFi projects? You gotta be very careful around DeFi projects because they are very popular with rug pulling this days, that's the less promising DeFi projects though

My top tokens were the major coins that placed on top 5 coins in CMC and i mostly trading on the major exchange site with very big liquidity like binance exchange site.
It looks like the newcomers that ever owned crypto in the past and you must also try to use the major exchange site again.
Im also taking the middle tier coin as my investment too.

If you are a long term holder then go for the best coins other there like bitcoin and ethereum.

DeFi got hyped in the past few months but now it faded away so I won't recommend to invest on any of the tokens and also their transaction fee is getting insane high so better avoid at any cost.

You don't need to be confused and just invest in Ethereum, because until whenever Ethereum is the right choice to be used as a long-term investment and of course the price of Ethereum will definitely increase very high in the future, so you will not regret to investing in Ethereum, because you will definitely get a big profit from investing in Ethereum, therefore you don't need to invest in DeFi or any altcoin.

Good to know that you've managed to earn a profit way back before on cryptocurrency when you sold your holdings. Right now the best thing to do is to just wait the price of the coins to dump really so that you can buy bitcoin or ethereum in a very cheaper price compare to their price right now. You already know that as what you've stated that you have already make profit in cryptocurrency meaning you are knowledgeable about buying low and selling high.

As far as top 5 coins are concerned, i am a fan of btc, eth, ada, ltc and trx but mainly im holding btc and eth only, regarding the trading platform i think at the moment binance is the best and if you are looking for dexes then uniswap and idex are good.

Considering the value of bitcoin right now. It ain't really a good time to buy right now. Even with Ethereum since its price increased a lot too. Timing is very crucial here in crypto, if only you had a great timing of buying, you will surely have the capability to earn lots of money by just simply holding. It is advisable to buy when the value of a certain crypto is very low and sell it out when the price reach its peak. Welcome back, the ecosystem has changed from what we used to see it be to another, there are new means or ways scammers uses to extort money from investors without them knowing they have fall prey to these scammers. Defi's are on a high range and most of these projects are be use to scam gullible investors in cryptocurrency, there are series of projects that are called defis that actually scammed investors, so, ensure to make due diligence before make your investment with any defi projects out there. I will prefer you invest in LINKS, POKDOT or TWT, mostly Bitcoin still remains the best.

I usually will not take the top 5 coins because these coins are over valued. I always try to take the small cap coin as the place to invest my money coz i wanna deal with the risk.
More risk and more profit and less risk and less profit.
I usually trade on uniswap or big exchange site to ensure if i can get enough liquidity to get the best trade in my life.

it should be for the top 5 coins you can see it on coinmarketcap or coingecko and don't ask anyone to buy now or not because it all depends on your research on market charts. for investment you have to keep bitcoin and ethereum
