DeFi got hyped in the past few months but now it faded away so I won't recommend to invest on any of the tokens and also their transaction fee is getting insane high so better avoid at any cost.

Right now the best thing to do is to just wait the price of the coins to dump really so that you can buy bitcoin or ethereum in a very cheaper price compare to their price right now. You already know that as what you've stated that you have already make profit in cryptocurrency meaning you are knowledgeable about buying low and selling high.

As far as top 5 coins are concerned, i am a fan of btc, eth, ada, ltc and trx but mainly im holding btc and eth only, regarding the trading platform i think at the moment binance is the best and if you are looking for dexes then uniswap and idex are good.

Welcome back, the ecosystem has changed from what we used to see it be to another, there are new means or ways scammers uses to extort money from investors without them knowing they have fall prey to these scammers. Defi's are on a high range and most of these projects are be use to scam gullible investors in cryptocurrency, there are series of projects that are called defis that actually scammed investors, so, ensure to make due diligence before make your investment with any defi projects out there. When it do comes to a decision on when is the right time to buy there's no one here can tell you exactly when is that but as long as you know what you are doing in the market or your investment you will be fine. Explaining defi here in few sentences would not be possible, it is something a bit more complex than that so you will have to read about it from articles that explains it a lot better.

Secondly, I can't really give you 5 coins that I can suggest because if they go down I would feel bad, you should probably do your own research instead of checking what others are saying.

I would have to say bitcoin is definitely a great one to buy, but it is not really the only one like many claim, neither is ethereum for that matter. You could buy those and you should buy those, they are great, but they are not the only ones. Which means there are other coins you could invest as well, there are others in top 10, top 20 and even lower levels that are not bad. For example my dark horse this year will be UNI and PCS both are great swap places for defi, one for ethereum blockchain and other is for binance blockchain, and both are greatly used and awesome projects.

I can't say that it is guaranteed that they will earn money, but they are going to have a lot better years, they didn't even existed at the start of 2020 and already big right now, which means the more they grow the higher the price will get as well which is why I bought some from both of them.

Another great thing about DeFi is that it is not really a method to collect money. Many people say "oh defi is like ICO and IEO and it will eventually phase out and become worthless like them" and so forth but the reality is that DeFi is a blockchain change in the crypto world and not a funding one, there are thousands of defi projects that didn't even get any funding and just started because project owners believed their chances, they just printed their own coins and started which allowed the market to decide the price so that owners could sell to market price and not fixed price.

Defi is nothing like ico or ieo, it is definitely something much more valuable than that and I believe it will definitely do great. This decentralization from even the creators is the main reason why I like them so much, we are not going to have bad owners ruining projects anymore.

Honestly those high end top coins are usually the ones to go, they are really great, they usually make the most money for people as well. I am not saying just focus on those and never others, of course you could be interested in some smaller project as well, but do not put bulk of your money there.

My understanding is that always find things that look legit and invest 90%+ of your money there, and keep a very small amount to make a profit with smaller ones, this has always been the case for me. So, invest into those top 10 coins, but pick like only 5 decent one of them, and also go look for a very small project. I actually own a coin that is not in the top 200 right now, it is very tiny and honestly I feel fine about it as well. It is just how I invest, with diversification and it worked out and made me a decent profit thanks to this method.

That is the right decision, but unfortunately there are too many people who got into panic mode and sold all their coins, those are the real loss makers and they are dropping the price as well, I have no idea why they are scared so much. I mean the price was under the current prices about a week or so ago, why are they so scared? Why do they think that price will be 10x with just a slight increase and think 90% down with slight drop? Bitcoin drops 10% constantly, at least once a month since it started, that is as normal as it gets.

I think your estimates are pretty solid TBH, 35k I personally think will be breached to maybe 32k even but it will be a flash touch, mainly 35k to be the true bottom on most platforms.

Time plays also an important role in investing in any project, in my mind to make the right choice is more important than time. The right choice always brings success, on the contrary, you can lose your money. Many projects are getting up and if we can make the right choice for example ETH, we can make great money. ETH is not the only choice, there are also a lot of potential projects, but sometimes it is really hard to find the safe one.

Agree, even in the badtime if we choose the great project, it could return us profit even if it needed to wait more time for it.  But, if we already choose a bad ones, we can trapped forever in no liquidity projects.
