Get support from the Betfair team before making a deposit. Because, there were more issues in the past with different sites for using VPN and accessing the website for gambling needs. Mostly the gamblers weren't able to withdraw funds once after winning. It is always good to spend on sites that has access to your country.

If Betfair has placed geographic restrictions on your location, they have their reasons to do so. You shouldn't try to to bypass their restrictions by finding a way to cheat the system. It doesnt matter what IP you use, your account is linked to your country and you will only get the deposit options that this country gets.
Example, I am German but registered with betfair while living in Japan. Whatever IP I use now, I always get the deposit options Japanese account holders get. I can only deposit via bank, credit card and 2 russian options for whatever reason.

Once your country or whatever is banned by betfair there is no way to use it, trust me. They banned all Germans (or people living in Germany) like 10 years ago because of our stupid 5% betting tax.

Just choose another Gambling site. There are tons of different websites out there, which should be available in your jurisdiction. I didnt know smarkets and just checked the site. For markets I play (various basketball leagues around the globe) the odds are bad and there is no liquidity. Matchbook maaaaaybe but still no alternative, sorry .

If you getting hard to deposit your money, how much more when it comes to withdrawal.

I don't know if using a VPN or changing its location in the site settings would work. If Betfair has placed restrictions on your location they have reason to have done so.

Where are you from? I suggest you to check if Flutter Entertainment owns any casino in your country. Flutter is a company that owns Paddy Power and this last one owns BetFair. There are some countries where official Betfair's URL is banned but if there is casino/sportsbook in your location owned by them, then you are lucky and will be able to use almost all of their service on another website that will be owned by them.

If there policy has been revised and your cou try has been banned on them then stop playing at them since if you insist to play there you will might get a problem in future if the management find out that you play in the forbidden country. This isn't entirely true based on my experience. VPNs are effective sometimes and solve the ban restriction entirely since I have personally used them on several occasions without any issues related to deposits, withdrawals etc.

However, I chat with live support and inform them that I am using a VPN to access their site before proceeding to do so. This guarantees minimal issues in the future.

VPNs do help in many ways, but skipping all these steps and utilising alternate sites is still a better option as I mentioned in my earlier post.

You have to do KYC at Betfair. If your country gets banned and you move a to a new country you have to do KYC again.

I know that because I went through this. I am German national and from 2006-2010 played at betfair from Germany. Then they banned all German residents because of our betting tax bs. So I wasn't able to play anymore.

2016 I moved to Japan and was able to reopen my account but had to prove I am actually living in Japan, so yet another KYC.

If they don't allow players from your country, it's best to just find another casino. Because if you manage to deposit and even win something, you can get caught during withdrawal, and then they would be right not to process the withdrawal. Some suggested VPN, but of course it can be noticed by the casino, and they might not be okay with it (be sure to read what their stance on this matter is). Another option is a betting broker (if one offers bets on Betfair), which might even make the whole thing legal, but then you'll need to pay additional fees and play with serious amounts of money.

I think it really depends what is the reason behind you being unable to use a certain deposit/withdrawal method. Some websites simply restrict using certain payment methods in different countries, so using a VPN won't change anything since your identity is verified in one of those countries.

An example where I think VPN would be allowed is when you go abroad and want to use your usual payment methods but they are not available in that country. Even in this case, the best thing to do is contact their support and ask them if that's allowed.

You can use VPN, but make sure you read their terms of service. Since they updated it, and restricted users from your country, it would be a bad idea to play over there. You have to do KYC at Betfair. If your country gets banned and you move a to a new country you have to do KYC again.

Why would still pursue to go back if you had been blocked or banned due to violation? Its just have no sense for you to go back again.
It would be better if you do just find for another site that doesnt really restrict out your country so that you wont really be having this kind
of problem or headache but if you do like to have more problems then proceed on since its your money after all but do expect

I have a betfair account for a few year, however, as some policy modified recently, I cannot deposit to betfair. It is being too difficult to deposit money to Betfair now in some banned counties,

First of all, once your country is restricted, don't expect a good gambling experience once they've detected that you are using VPN. You can gamble with so many platforms and bypassing the prohibition of Betfair would just give your problems sooner or later. Also, why would you mind playing in it while there are tons that might be accessible in your country? All I want to clear here is that your funds might be frozen once they detected your actions, which is way worse than just playing on other platform.

You are opening a loophole for some casinos not to allow your withdrawals in the future and this normally happens when you win a lot of money. They do not ask for KYC documents when you deposit at these casinos, but the moment when you win big and you want to withdraw funds from your account.. then they start asking for KYC documents.

They look the other way when you use VPN's to play and they also ignore KYC requirements when you deposit, but once you win big, they throw the KYC thing at you, because they know it is a loophole for them to have an excuse not to allow you to withdraw the funds.

From what I can see, the OP has not mentioned what country he is from. The available options will depend on where he resides. For example, if he is from the US, UK, France, Netherlands, Islamic countries, North Korea, and some others, he will find closed doors on many crypto casinos. That still does not justify cheating your way in due to the possibility of having your funds or winnings claimed by the site.

Sad to see source a large number of countries being restricted from using betfair platform, but what I really want to know is that is there any other gambling platform that is operating in this restricted countries?

LOL! Japan is not banned. I use betfair and my account is registered in/from Japan. So what about that??

Japan was banned until 2016 and then got new laws for gambling and since then they welcome players from Japan.

It seems OP now finds a better place to gamble and OP didn't reply back into this thread. It sounds really playing a flame, it may I guess burn out all of your money once the gamble sites detect that you are using VPN to bypass which country that you have restricted from gambling.

There are tons of gambling sites here and out there that obviously have the same games to gamble. Why risking your account on a site that already restricted your area. If Betfair will allow you to have a withdrawal even you are using VPN, that's good you are lucky enough.

I think many of us are aware of the rules of our country but we also know that enforcement is quite lax. If I and many thousands of players at this forum obey the laws of our country with digital currency we would not even be allowed to own any crypto.

BUT I agree, be as safe as possible and if a platform does not accept your nationality,,, no need for to push the issue and move on to another one. Many of the sites on this forum with ANN thread allow your country, if you just check.
