Also, do coinbase and other charge you if you use card for instant payment??? As opposed to depositing money through seps into your exchnage account?

Kraken is a good exchange, it’s highly trustworthy. So they have a bit or downtime, it’s better now than when we come to the peak of the bull run. I’m sure they’ll put measures in place to ensure it doesn’t continue to happen.

Life is meant to be easy, if kraken is down and repeating, I think the best option is to get a better exchange like binance which do not go down like such exchanges. I know kraken is a good and reputed exchange in term of reputation but what about the service they are providing, if they continue line this, getting a better exchange will be appropriate for active traders, esle it might lead to disappointing moments of great loss if they can not trade or place order at critical moments. |

You expect it when some surge happens to the market but Kraken isn't the other exchanges, if there's an actual issue and they've announced it. Let them check what it is. Most of the exchanges have downtime but in Kraken, it's just a rare thing to see them do it if it's really a critical fix needed. |

If the service disruptions are too frequent as you say, then I suggest you move to a more better and reliable exchange. You're trading the crypto markets and these markets do know sleep. They also require you to be active so you can continously check up your trades and make readjustments if needed. You can't do that if Kraken's platform is going down too often. You can't even make trades too when that happens. Binance offers a much more reliable service even if they have a few outages every now and then. Don't stick to less than average service when there are better alternatives. Enough said. |

I don't understand why Kaken is down when btc is high..Binance never let me down  There is reason why they are. You are free to check their status page as posted above to get updates. There's an additional maintenance that they did for Siacoin just as checking it right now. |

I don't recall reading that any of this ever happening with Kraken. IMO it's better to be down a day or two than to have your life savings stolen because your meme of a CEO can't figure out how to properly secure the biggest target on earth. They're doing a hell of a lot better than in the surge of 2017.

What is wash trading? And also, Facebook is never down, nor Google... Kraken has a duty to be investing money in servers and whatever else you need to make sure its customers are not getting frustrated.... And when it's down and you go on chat, you are position 125 like I was yesterday...?? I swear it's ran by some spotty kid in his bedroom on dial up modems.... I am stopping using them now! |

No question that Kraken is a good and highly trustworthy exchange. The problem that we see though is that this is an unexpected downtime, specially when we are in the peak hours of a bull run. And in this case, its a matter of how much you will win or lose, that's why it needs to give us a better service on such occasions. They have been profiting in billions, they should have invested on their infrastructure for a better customer support. |

Unfortunately all exchanges are experiencing the same issues, whenever bitcoin price is rising there is a huge rush to buy it which increases the traffic to these sites. Not to mention those who lose A LOT OF money in their shorts who get angry and start DDOS attacking these exchanges thinking they can prevent their further losses. BINANCE here we come!!!
If you want to do altcoin trading now that bitcoin is rising and altcoins are dumping Binance is good. But when the shitcoin shows begin Binance experiences the same issues too. And also, Facebook is never down, nor Google...
Are you seriously comparing multi trillion dollar companies with literary millions of servers with a bitcoin exchange with a handful of servers?  |

Every exchange has other charge tho its just that its a hidden charge |

Isn't it down everytime Bitcoin goes up. They should just invest is some more webservers if they even can't handle a spike in traffic. Just dont' get it. It's one of the oldest exchanges and they still haven't fixed this. |

Do not put all the eggs in one basket. If KAKEN has some technical problems, moving completely to Binance will be dangerous because it suffers from the same problem with increased risks if BINANCE Hacked.
Generally, it is better to set trading strategies away from trying to visit at peak times.
