ETH made me very Angry today

Yeah, Ethereum fees are insane. I think it`s quite obvious, that it`s very stupid for now to do something in the Ethereum blockchain if you don`t have at least 10k$. Fees can eat all your profit, so your story, despite on how it`s sad, is very instructive. Ethereum market is restricted for now for small capitals. There are many places like BSC and growing Avalanche, Matic and others, where people don`t spend weekly salary on simple transaction

Just read through this section of the forum and you will find many threads like this and i have to agree with everyone that complains about the high gas fees. If you have to pay 80$ network fees for a transaction that has a value of 100$ than this financial ecosystem is not useable in the real world in my opinion.
A few weeks ago or so i had to switch my LP-Tokens from one contract to another because of an upgrade. In the end i had to pay about about 50$ for the 4 needed transactions, including 2 failed transactions which cost 10$ bucks each or so.
I don't even wanna know how much i would have to pay at the moment if i had to switch now.

I found what i consider a gem today, so i was in a hurry to buy some before more people discover it and the price begins to go up, being an erc-20 token and only listed on uniswap and 1inch, i needed eth and i had zero eth on my wallet, fortunately, i had about $163 usd in my local bank account so i immediately took out $150 usd to buy some eth, after successfully buying eth from a centralized exchange, i quickly withdrew it to my trust wallet, the exchange took about $22 usd for Ethereum transfer fees so i was left with about $128 usd when the eth hit my trust wallet.

i quickly headed to uniswap to purchase my precious new found ticket to the moon, with my $128 usd in eth, i could have easily purchase about 2000 of the tokens but due to eth high fees, i brought it down to 1000 tokens so as to enable have some eth left for fees but surprisingly, when i clicked on swap, i was told that i don't have enough eth to cover the transaction fees, how much was the fees??? behold ! $87 usd, i was shocked, i didn't want to buy less than 1000 tokens so i decided to adjust the fees, after adjusting, i was able to bring the fee down to $42 usd, i was warned that my transaction might take a very long time before confirmation o might even be cancelled, i took my shot and clicked the submit button.

so the wait began ...

1 hour -- i was still waiting for a confirmation

3 hours -- i was still waiting for a confirmation

4 hours -- i was still waiting

5th hour came and some where in the middle of it, i got a notification from trust wallet that my transaction has been confirmed... i was happy, i quickly rushed to etherscan to view the transaction. lo and behold,, the transaction was confirmed but the token purchase didn't pull through, it returned an error saying like purchase wasn't successful due to low gas shit shit shit...WHAT THE F...KING HELL .. my $42 usd gone just like that ?? i was so fucking mad, in fact, if i knew where vitalik was, i would have called security men to have him arrested, i was devastated, i felt like crying, i was so mad at my wife and kid like its their fault,...it wasn't funny, out of $128 usd, i had just $86 usd left, i couldn't buy my precious ticket to the moon no more, its really a bad day for me today, i lost $150 usd just like that, that was all i had left in my local bank account, and now its gone all because of Ethereum high fees.

This is an interesting story and a lesson for you and all of us. but in this case you do not blame or involve other people when you have made a mistake yourself. because in the story you wrote, it was clear that it was the mistake of your carelessness. I hope this is an important experience for you and all of us not to be hasty in making a decision so as not to harm yourself.

Even though it seems easy to make a decision but in reality it is very difficult,
and this can also be used as a lesson for the future that in making decisions we should not be careless and do not think long,

Yeah unfortunately the fees became very high lately. Since the recent rally I stopped using my coins for doing transactions as it is just not worth it. In my opinion it is best at the moment to use the coins for investing and rely on cheaper transaction fees with fiat money whenever possible.

It is a pity that you have got losses and regrets. Really I understand your feelings, because some days ago I was in some alike situation like yours. I lost a lot in order to get at least something, because transaction stuck. But the problem finally has been solved. And nevertheless I have got some assets and losses at the same time. Of course it is sad, but noone can cope with suxh a situation nowadays, lots of campaigns stopped even paying rewards because of high gas in ETH. And your family is not worth to blame for high ETH gas.

When you feel boring or tired how higher fees transaction ethereum better looking for new platform sending like bnb or trx because there still have lower fees for transaction, you can left with Uniswap exchange when you not happy how many time pay higher fees transaction because eth price is up and could effect with higher fees, I never use uniswap because looks crazy with fees transaction and keep using binance.

There is no other way than to be patient and wait for the amount of fees to decrease, because almost everyone cannot make transactions when the transaction fees are still very high, especially for those who only have a very small amount of stock costs.

ETH has huge fees, and you know that. You should have to count before making transaction. Well, look on this situation positively. That shitcoin you wanted to buy might scam while ETH is in bullrun now. Maybe you can exchange it on USDT again and cover your losses or even get some grains.

Almost coin ethereum platform make us angry with sending to exchange market exactly with ICO investor, bounty and airdrop participants most higher fees than coin value we have.

But if you don't like this commissions you can go to BSC chain!

I can feel the same as you.
Back then I was trying to send my ERC shit token into EtherDelta, I saw that my tokens doesn't get pushed through/sent. Ending up to be a failed transaction. I would say I almost spent more than $10 worth of ETH for Gas Fee. That's insane already for me as someone looking to just trade in a fine day.
End result was I still managed to get it done, it was a crippling expenses for me, but I learned my lesson about planning. Don't overlook it as it will surely screw you mid-way.

The thing is that those exchanges will get hurt the most EtherDelta, Uniswap etc. I didn't trade on them since ETH got over 800$ it's too much. I don't invest much money so the fees are to big. I try staying on Binance and that's what it is. Also new tokens get hurt since for sure it makes smaller volume with all this.

ETH is at ATH and with that the high gas prices come. I'm sorry for you but it is like that now. The ETH 2.0 should solve that problem. If you really want to transfer funds try use other coins not eth based so you have lower fees.

The eth market price increased so as its gas fee, maybe that is one of the reason why eth becomes green almost everyday. Most of us are complaining that issue with the high gas fee so that when they release the eth v2.0, it will fixed along with other issues in eth.

All kidding aside, these disproportionate fees are unbearable and penalize a lot of people. This is one of the reasons for the current success of the smart chain binance as well.

I don't know i should laugh or sympathized on you! but i already faced the same situation like you. I had some token that i is only available on uniswap. I had around $50 on my ether wallet.so i decided to swap. After login with metamas and connected on uniswap, i selected pair and then click on swap.after that, i couldn't believe my eyes! Iy was requiring $130 fee for done that transactions. So i just laugh and shut my pc down. 1inch also same as uniswap, although it has available some extra features

I would just stop doing the transaction if it's also going to ask me with insane fees. But I don't think that it's going to cool down any time soon but if the fees are reduced then that would be the great time to send it. Just insane.
Despite with the fees, Ethereum is still good and considered one of the best.

I can understand your frustration but honestly it is not the time to trade or transfer but to just hold, personally i have stopped all my trading and transfer activity because im expecting a big parabolic wave that will take eth price alongwith most alts and tokens to very high price points so at that time i would analyse and take some profot or start to trade again and hopefully by then we will have an efficient eth network in the shape of eth 2.0

i can not believe you shouting for loosing only 45$ on a Gas fees. some of us here has been paying for gas fees over 60 to 80$ after discovering that we connected with a wrong address. or paid a gas fees for to the wrong contract address. this is part of the activities on this crypto space. some has been loosing their funds on a daily. wipe your ass and move on. try to find a means to cover up your loose.

I think the major problem with the ethereum blockchain is it a gas fees and also sometimes transactions take unusually long as before confirmation I really don't know where the source of this problem is but it really need to be looked into because no one wants to pay $50 transaction fee or need $20 transaction and no one wants to make payments and have to wait hours before the payment reflects so I believe the community should look into ethereum transaction prices can be reduced to the barest minimum

I agree as much as possible I'm trying to stay away from Ethereum right now, the altcoins that i want to trade are not worth trading because of the expensive gas fee, it makes altcoin that we received in a small amount from bounty and airdrops useless, I have at least 5 of them sitting in my wallet, waiting for the gas to go down or waiting for my altcoins to go to the moon so it will make my transaction worth it.
