According to earlier news I've read there is one whale controlling half the BTG coins in circulation, manipulating price and probably abusing this dominant position.

I would feel scared to invest or trade in a coin that is a fork of Bitcoin and has been in the news just for wrong reasons.

Bitcoin will remain as the king, it's pretty obvious, bitcoin has been dominating the market per its dominant rate, you can't deny the fact as bitcoin has been consistent. Have you seen how the market move? when bitcoin is bullish, altcoins does not follow the lead right away, it takes time and it's slowly happening now, so it says this market relies heavily on bitcoin, period.

Sorry for saying this but this is just sad. This clearly is just am empty attempt to increase the fame of this altcoin. And to claim that this altcoin will be the next bitcoin is just too much. People aren't that dumb anymore to believe just anything they see, specially in this forum. if you are just genuinely posting things about btg to help sincerely, then that's great, I will also sincerely advice you to not let yourself expect too much from that altcoin investing is investing afterall, just don't let emotions and other people's words pursuade you without studying your decisions a lot first. It's another one of those scummy crypto currencies only existing to make the creators rich. I'd stay away from it.

When you mentioned about the ease of mining Bitcoin Gold, I immediately did some research to check about mining the said coin. I was actually excited during that point because I never thought that I will be able to use my GPU for mining the said coin and use my computer to do that. But it turns out, you need a much more powerful system to be able to get the most of mining. One GPU is not enough and the website I checked even recommended using 6 GPUs.

People can tell their opinion about any coins, including bitcoin gold, which can be the next bitcoin. But bitcoin is bitcoin, and bitcoin gold is bitcoin gold. Bitcoin and bitcoin gold have different paths, and we do not know what will happen with bitcoin and bitcoin gold in the future. But it is difficult for bitcoin gold to be the next bitcoin as from the gap, we already know that the price is too low compare to bitcoin. But bitcoin gold can compete with the other altcoins.

I do not see Bitcoin Gold's upside potential. It seems to me that this is a common publicized coin the creators of which want to promote BTG through the popularity of Bitcoin and make money from it. It is very strange for me to buy Bitcoin, which is not exactly Bitcoin and does not cost anything.

This is not true, and all the hype around Bitcoin Gold looks like a shill, how many altcoins have been called 'next ethereum', yet none of them have been able to do any better than eth in the market; it's a rarity to see coins being called the next Bitcoin, cause the network is really waxing stronger, with the presence of institutional Investors it'll be almost impossible for any coin to do better, people talking about 'Bitcoin Gold' being the next btc are prolly only saying so cause it's got btc in its name, which is also an indication that the coin is only a 'copy cat'.

Even the top 100 coinmarket cap can easly manipulated because the big whales hold 90% of the coins btg chain is from day 1 of btc so much more fair.they premined 100.000 for maintaince cost like most coins do.

Thanks for that new knowledge. That's quite a cheap amount for those who will try to do that with bitcoin gold. That's why it's so long that I've already dumped the free bitcoin gold that I've got.

Of course 1 GPU will not be strong, you have to have more capital than that to mine BTG, because BTG is one of the old coins which is quite expensive, so the level of difficulty is also quite high.
If you want to mine BTG, my advice is better wait for BTG to move to PoS, because a lot of coins are now moving to PoS, I didn't hear BTG is moving to PoS, but you can start talking to DEV and consider the idea.

Those shillers from BCH already disappeared and the performance of BCH doesn't meet their expectation. I guess there were lots of people have bought BCH at the peak price and they were loosing a lot.
The fork coin is fork coin and bitcoin is not the same with fork coin that already created for the scam purpose only.
This trend must be stopped.
