Bitcoin and a select few altcoin currently have the highest price and that is something that could put your bankroll at risk. Even though I believe people can give you good advice, I want to advise you to do some pretty good research on Alts you want to invest in, and like you must have known in crypto, "Never invest what you cannot afford to lose" so do not invest all your servings or earnings into crypto.

That said, I personally like BNB, Investing in it on Binance exchange helps me stake it or keep in Vault and earn some more cryptos which is a plus since I am more of a holder. BTC and ETH of cause are a good choice but I must say, you MUST understand why you want to invest, as in, are you considering HODLing for some time or just for a shorter time, I believe this will also help you determine what Crypto to invest in and what %tage of the fund.

I do agree that defi is too risky for newbies, and too many newbies see very high APY and APR and they get involved right away, only to lose a lot of money when tokens drop in price instead of give a good return. However one thing I can't agree more is BNB suggestion, it is a great idea to buy BNB, because in the end even if tokens that are on BNB chain is good or bad, that will result with people having a ton of profit over course of years since even in bad or good tokens everyone will get into BNB to use those tokens, think of it like ETH and erc20 tokens and same logic.

This is why I think buying BNB will be the smartest thing anyone can make right now and price will definitely go towards 1000+ dollars in the future, maybe not in a few days but it will definitely be there in a few years at most. In my opinion, there is no right formula for this.

You just have to decide in which coin you want to invest in the short or long term and make the right ratio.

Also, I saw in one of the comments, which is true - if you have no other funds than these, do not invest everything.

if you read my post i suggest you do the following:

1 - look for business in the real world in your country and invest in them. example:

you have $16,000

you take $2000 and guards at the bank

you take $6,000 and invest in the real world business

2 - with $8000 invests $2000 in bitcoin, $1000 in ETH and the rest of the money look for other altcoins and invest $100 to $300 in each one

But be aware that in the event that bitcoin falls, all altcoins also fall, which is why you have to invest in the real world business too

Brother, cut it in half before you decide investing. It would be better for you to lose half than to lose all. you may gain a bit smaller than what you should have if you invested whole 16k but at least the risk is smaller and you still have some backup funds if ever bad things happen. if it were me, I'd divide it as what I have said and invest in stocks instead and only a small portion for this industry since profits here if it comes, are huge. so it kind of balances the scales.

from the list of coins you mentioned above is pretty good, especially with Ethereum and Polkadot, regarding INJ, if I'm not mistaken, is it a 2019 project or not? INJ coin is also quite good especially since it is listed on some of the top exchanges especially on Binance. $ 16k is big money. ENJ, DOT and ETH are very potential alts to invest with your big funds, I judt wanted to suggest that you add to your portfolio portion the EGLD, BNB and LINK because altcoins are also a very potential tokens. With regards to the partition of your 16000$, I strong suggest that you do your dip researching in which of those token you will put a large part of the fund and which token will have the small amount of your fund.

My suggestion for you is this way

1. Always don't put your investment in one area

2. Be sure to invest what you can take the shock when it goes bad, so it means you have to be sure you want to do the investment.

3. Remove $2,000 from your $16,000 and you have $14,000. Use the $2,000 for yourself, feeding and upkeep. And you have $14,000 to invest.

4. Split your $14_000 into two, that is $7,000 on each part.

The cryptocurrency market doesn't just need cash inflow but an opportunity for anyone to move into the market without mistakes, if you are not lucky to make it into the correction zones then there might be some downside if eventually move some funds into the market. Always ensure that you move into the market when there's a correction to take a great opportunity in process. Your listed coins are good but maybe they are not undervalued coins, so care should be taken for your investment if there is no correction before entry.

I would definitely stay away for just right now. It is really not smart to get into things when they are this high, it doesn't make sense when you invest into crypto when it is so high, it would make sense if it they dropped and had a correction. Don't get me wrong I am not expecting any bear run anytime soon, it could potentially happen nobody knows when bull will end and bear will start but the reality is that even if a bear doesn't start a correction should happen.

After that BNB is definitely the best coin to invest into, it had a huge increase very recently and that means during a correction that will be the one that drops the most (without having proper support line just yet) and when that happens and if you buy BNB under 200 dollars, you could wait until it goes over 500 bucks and make a huge return, I believe that will surely happen very soon.

If I were you, I will invest in either ethereum, polkadot, bnb or ada. Or I will divided that $16000 into those coins. I've been following those top cryptocurrency for the past few months and 85% of my predictions are actually happened. Also bitcoin is a great investment but the risk is high especially recently it reached $52000 or another ATH. Most of the time after the ATH, bitcoin usually dump its price value and will increase for the next few months again. So maybe you can wait for the bitcoin to dump and buy it and hold until it increase again.

Indeed and people often underestimate BNB just because it is the coin for Binance but with the Binance smart chain and all the development being happening around Binance, I think this coin is going to do wonders in coming time. Already at number 3 on the coinmarketcap also shows how much interest it has gained from the investors.

Another project which I really rate very highly is chain link because really it might be the top 5 coins in coming time and the price might bloom even further given how good it is. Take it to 30:30:40. 40% should be in Ethereum. That's the best idea that you can do but I'll remove the other coin, ENJ. And the portion that it should be taking, I'll put it into bitcoin.
Or you can do 40% for bitcoin and 30% for Ethereum and DOT. I guess you have a good deal with that allocation of your wealth and investment for that hard-earned money that you have saved.

Not a bad distribution but I do not like 40% of the funds being allocated to Ethereum alone because there is almost nothing new or innovative being done on Ethereum, at least nothing recently happening and its been under the rock for a while. The price is already quite high and I don't think much room is there for too much growth.

I will rather allocate 50% straight to Bitcoins, being the oldest and identity of crypto-currencies, I don't think there will be ever any coin to dominate Bitcoins. You can invest 50% now, make a profit then invest the profit as well but keep something for you now.
