crazy, this is crazy. $ 50k bitcoins and etherum have also risen to nearly $ 2000 and possibly soon. if there are tokens that pay with just 2 etherums, you already have this much money.

Indeed! If the momentum keeps up beyond $50k, we are really on a huge road to $100k this year. This is highly possible, especially the continued interests of the financial institutions around the world.

We need to reach the 60k, 70k, 80k and 90k territory first before we dream of the 100k, bitcoin will take a step by step before we can reach that dream. But I do agree with you, it is not yet the 1st quarter of the year and we are on 50k mark but we have to expect some bad news as the next months roll in but I hope that they are not of great significance that it will affect bitcoin big time.

$50k is a huge psychological threshold. If we can clear $50k and hold above it — holding obviously being more important than just breaking through — then you wouldn't imagine that there would be any significant resistance until the $100k mark.

The obvious concern as always being that a very rapid rise is often followed by an even more rapid pullback. Slow, steady increases interspersed with periods of consolidation and the establishing of support are much more preferable from a long-term perspective.

At first I thought that the OP was trolling.. so I went to Coinmarketcap to check the prices myself. According to Coinmarketcap, today's high is reported at $50,341.10. Now I am not sure whether the 50K level was breached in all the exchanges or not, but this is nothing short of historic. We have waited for so long for this moment. Getting to 50K took more than 3 years after we hit $20,000. A lot of heartache and frustration was there in between.. but it is time to forget all that and celebrate!!! We have made history!!!

And back to 48.8K. The coin didn't smash 50K, it poked his head out of 50K.  I guess it's the volume. The bigger the price, the more money needed to push.

I have a feeling it's going to slide a bit as people take their profit and others slowly buy back in.
Then it's going to be a bit of a long slow climb for a while.

yeh.  I saw that magic.  $ 50k5.  New history has been formed and hopefully it continues to expand for this trend.  the healthy breath dispelled the bears. This natural thing will come to mind comfort.  The next ATH achieved will be $ 55k )

You should've kept your bitcoin and just buy Ethereum with your pocket money. I've been doing this before but I've realized that it's not worth it although Eth is also pumping.
But as you see, Bitcoin is more worth keeping than spending just for another coin.

the market doesn't seem to be ready for the $50k prices and higher, there are still a lot of newbies panic sellers who are selling out of fear as soon there is the slightest rise in the price and of course the manipulators who have been losing a lot of money in shorting the rising bitcoin!

the good news is that they are all running out of money so even though we are still seeing $49k in a couple of days these newbies will be smashed.

I take the fact that it's hovering in the 49s rather than bouncing sharply down from 50 as evidence of general bullishness in the market. As you say though, there will certainly be profit-taking near the round number of 50k.

After reaching this price, I don't think it would ever be lower than $30k anymore. It wouldn't go down any lower as well. I believe that most people have understood the essence of BTC and are prepared to have an agreement at price in this range currently. Do you think it would carry this thing throughout the years? I believe so. As long as we believe in it and keep HODLing, then we could get what we want.

I think we all know that, and even if the price very quickly was rejected from that level by the bears the fact that we had touched that level and we still remain so close only means one thing, it is only a matter of time before we leave behind that level for good, 50k was a key level because it means that for the first time bitcoin only needs to grow two times in order to reach six figures, without a doubt this is a historic moment but at the same time with the year being so young I really think there is a possibility that we see six figures this year.

I made this prediction some days back. Very excited, Before mid year, we should be above the 80k mark. With bitcoin gaining mainstream adoption and acceptance, growth and rise in value is inevitable. Congratulations Bitcoiners.☺️

Bitcoin never failed us and those who predict that bitcoin will reach $50,000, this is it, it really happened when we are not expecting it too much.
