In the future, with bigger adoption for both ETH and ERC-20 tokens, I expect to see problems with network congestion and expensive fees again.

It's a good move for Ethereum to launch this if they solve the gas problem in the Ethereum 2.0 project (I doubt), no one could stop Ethereum to skyrocket and get close to bitcoin.

A lot of platforms is considering other networks that have lower fees, other networks like BSC is getting a lot of attention in different platforms and most of the recent launch use BSC network that has much lower fees.

As long as they solve the problem it's all gonna be good even if they take a long time doesn't matter to me, I still use metamask, MEW, and other eth exchanges if it is convinient.

We are in 2nd month of this year and july is the 7th so still it is 4 to 5 months away but atleast this news has given support and relief to longterm holders of eth as the network is under stress and critic because of high gas fee but the news of end of all this in july is a really positive thing.

They will have the so-called Berlin Hard fork this coming April and it stated that there will be optimizations for contracts including gas efficiencies. The maximum gas limit for each block is 12,500,000. Each block contains 100-300 transactions. If we use the lower value, then the current TPS(Transactions per second) is 15.
Gas optimization using smart contracts will not significantly increase the TPS. EIP 1559 will reduce the miner reward, but not increase the TPS.
The only way to increase TPS now is to increase the gas limit in the block.

Still Ethereum 2.0 feedback and Feature is much good, which is enough to recover Ethereum blockchain transaction problem. I didn't take any challenge  form binance smart chain, but this blockchain TPS was the high as Ethereum. From Decentralized exchange withdraw fee are more 30 USD.

If you are reading the thread carefully and we are discussing the solution for ethereum. So many times people already mentioned EIP1599 and this proposal already brought a new mechanism for the transaction gas. There will be a limit for the low and high gas.

The best network right now is BSC and I’m sure ETH sees this one as a big threat and that’s why they created this timeline so they can give hope to the ETH community which I think they really have to address as soon as possible. I agree, for a long time the game developers have been making promises and they either delay those promises or they outright never deliver on their promises, first of all we will have to see if they are able to actually deliver that upgrade to the network on time and then we will need to actually see if it does what they say it does and finally will have to see how the environment around the network changes as it seems that the mining pools do not really like the next upgrade.

I believe that EIP 1559 should come a lot sooner, July will be too late, 4 months is a whole lot of months in crypto, 4 months ago we were saying 10-15 dollars for gas fee was too much, now I have seen as much as 100+ dollars for network fee when you try to swap your coins, and as much as 40 dollars for sending them, that is really not acceptable levels.

If ETH keeps staggering around these levels and we do not end up seeing anything get cheaper, in 4 months we could have BNB being higher than ETH and nobody could do anything about it, because BNB is a lot cheaper.

You may say that BNB is centralized while ETH is decentralized but the reality is that the "team" that does eth 2.0, or eip 1559 gets all the votes they want anyway, so it is not fully decentralized as long as vitalik does whatever changes he wants on the coin itself. Certainly, ETH will have very valuable improvements.  Although, some users lately were due to gas that created some big riot with BNB.  Some exchanges also create great attraction as a result.  But I still believe and support ETH, wait for ethereum 2.0 and this news as a consensus, the value of ETh will increase, the gas barriers will be erased.

This is really much needed news and hopefully this will give some relief to longterm supporters that the work is being done to solve the issues and within few months it will be upgraded.

ETH 2.0 was launched late last year. currently, the reform is still being carried out and is expected to be completed in the next few years.
The update in July is aimed at solving the exorbitant GAS costs. I'm sure you've read the article that was shared.
if you want to sell ERC tokens, you can check the Gas required. there are actually times when we can see the costs have decreased quite well for making a transaction. but definitely make sure you have at least 0.01ETH. It seems that if we have it under that the transaction will not be able to be processed. there is error information when we will send the token.

That's true, many coins already lost value because people couldn't sell it and they became worthless, but the main reason was actually people failing to buy them, because if you tell people that they have to spend minimum 30-40 dollars just to buy something, they will obviously end up not buying it, you first need to give an approval which costs a lot, then you have to trade it on top of that as well, that is really a lot of money, at one point that was 100 bucks at peak levels. So, we are talking about people not buying it and that causes the prices to drop.

But come this July, when things become very cheap again, we could see a huge increase in them, I think it is good idea to buy right now even with those huge fee's because you may end up with a good increase in price after July, it may not be on the first month but it eventually could go up.

We will see the result from this EIP as soon as a possible dude. it looks like that if it's just a matter of time until the implementation for EIP1559. The only problem is if POW consensus is not even fair consider it was putting miners as the main thing to determine what will be the update that can be implemented in the network soon. If miners don't like it they will reject it and if miners will like it and they will accept it.

We will see the result from this EIP as soon as a possible dude. it looks like that if it's just a matter of time until the implementation for EIP1559. The only problem is if POW consensus is not even fair consider it was putting miners as the main thing to determine what will be the update that can be implemented in the network soon. Solving the gas problem isn't as easy as you think it is and if I recall correctly there's this rumour about the miners disagreeing to the devs decision of making the whole eth blockchain into POS and to increase the tps through layer 1 and layer 2 (sharding and side chain if im not mistaken).
its basically a lengthy process but hopefully once all of those successfully solved we won't see the blockchain having too much gas price.

The main question is - how many Ethereum supporters will survive until July?  A massive transition to other blockchains has already begun, including the Binance Smart Chain.

Once the fee resolved people who have migrated to BSC could easily switch back to ERC20 picking up where they left, it's not like once you move over to other blockchain you gonna stick with them for years you can easily choose which blockchain you gonna use and not to mention the transition of many peolpe to BSC believe it or not helps us to solve eth gas problem because there's less transactions happening in ETH blockchain right now compared to before.

To agree, users will always prioritize what benefits them. If Ethereum can do this well and solve the current problems, I think users will always know which is the best. I did find out about the proposal that Ethereum was working on during the win, indeed if this is applicable then I think the current problem of transaction fees will be solved.

The Ethereum blockchain is really for the elite. Because of the high petrol prices, ordinary citizens like us are unable to do it. Can't believe there would be less petrol fees than the BSC chain.

Haha, I don't know how to trust them but so far, the high fee really hurt, and feel so hard to transfer the ERC20 tokens. Moreover, it is not only about the price of ETH. but most ERC20 tokens prices are low, but the fee is damn high

If this is true then it would be done as early or I can say that I can't wait for the Ethereum gas fee to be resolved because i do suffer much to high gas fee of ethereum everhtime that i made a transaction.

The team behind the blockchain of ethereum should take the high gas fee as serious problem which of course needed to be resolve. This issue should be address properly because it really affects the transaction of eth to other platforms.

The gas fees are unbearable. It has risen up to 100x then what it was before.
Most people can't even transfer because of their low investments or low reward.
So this problem should be resolved as soon as possible. And hope that it will last long at least 2/3 years.

Still a long way to go, but then again doesn't necessarily guarantee that in july the gas will be truly resolved.
Best course of action is just to move on from the eth blockchain from the time being because lets be honest here, none of us could wait 4 months just to send some shrimp amount of erc tokens and 4 months is just too long when it come to this so I guess it's already decided that whoever who wants to send their tokens out there just send right now or waiting for 4 months.

4 months is really long and we still don't have any guarantee that it could really happen. The gas fee has been a huge burden for most of traders and sometimes, we couldn't even withdraw our funds because gas fees are higher that it. That's actually the reason why some traders switch to other altcoins.

I doubt it’ll stay resolved for long if they do classic test and improve method.
2/3 years is long time if there issues starts popping up in the new network, so i would say in few months the issues will be fixed if any does.

please i hope so, because i have not been able to trade since all this while, since last december, so if the gas fee can be reduce will be able to cashout, because if what i want to sell is equivalent to gas fee, what can i do than to wait.

Ethereum has been facing this big problem for quite a period already and if this will not be resolved, investors will shift into other network that offers lower gas fees like BNB. Although miners are opposing on ethereum 2.0 but still lot of investors are still hopeful to resolve this issue since ethereum has been a trusted network already since from the start. It's only about its high gas fee that makes it complicated right now.

With eip1559 miner will get less fees, but there are always negative sides, miner can make a 51% attack on ethereum if they did not agree with this proposal. I also hate to saw eth fees skyrocketing but there is nothing we can do about it. And i dont think the gas fees will be solved in july, we need eth 2.0 asap or else nothing can help us from ethereum high gas fees.

Well for me, this is a great news if it could be fixed.but honestly speaking waiting till July will be to long because alot of people might have switch to other network that there has fee is currently low. But I really hope the problem is fixed in July as the tram stated

Do you know that petrol prices fluctuate all the time. if you want to transact, you can take advantage of a low gas chance. I've spent a lot of assets on gas because I need transaction token every day. Essentially, if you can keep your token in an exchange wallet, you can stop paying fees.
