Nayib Bukele believes in Crypto
As you may know, at UCoin we keep our ears to the ground when it comes to global cryptocurrency trends in general, and in South America in particular! It is this region that we focused on last year in our effort to popularise cryptocurrencies and make sure more people know what Bitcoin is! We couldn’t simply graze over Nayib Bukele, El Salvador’s ambitious leader and his recent announcements. On 2nd January, Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele made a post about Bitcoin’s future for the coming year, in addition to tweeting some other bold statements about the coin.
2022 predictions on #Bitcoin:
Will reach $100k
2 more countries will adopt it as legal tender
Will become a major electoral issue in US elections this year
Bitcoin City will commence construction
Volcano bonds will be oversubscribed
The six predictions that Bukele made turned out to be very interesting to his followers, with the one about two more countries accepting Bitcoin as legal tender being the most discussed one. El Salvador became the first country to accept BTC as a legal tender on 7th September 2021, attracting the attention of many other state leaders. This is a very intriguing prediction, especially considering that El Salvador’s Ambassador to the United States, Milena Mayorga, said that if successful in their country, other countries “will follow” in Bitcoin adoption.

We aren’t just asking that: yet another attempt at finding out who he is seems to have borne fruit!
Bitcoin and Hashcash (a proof-of-work system used to limit email spam and denial-of-service attacks) were compiled on the same machine. The Hashcash system was developed by Adam Back in 1997 and is currently being used in BTC.
Every compiler generates a unique linker depending on the computer’s configuration, and in this case the two programs turn out to share the same unique string.

El Salvador to issue Bitcoin bonds worth $1 billion
El Salvador continues establishing legal frameworks regulating the issuance of Bitcoin bonds. The country is currently looking at creating $1 billion worth of Bitcoin bonds.
The funds received from the Bitcoin bonds will be spent on infrastructure for Bitcoin City, which is poised to provide digital and technological education, as well as rely on geothermal energy.
The El Salvador government promotes Bitcoin City as a tax haven, with zero municipal taxes, as well as that on income, capital gains, property.
The funds raised through Volcano Bonds can also be used to pay down an $800 million Eurobond issue which will mature in Jan. 2023.
