More number of people have shared weird experience with Hitbtc. Till date haven't encountered any issue with Hitbtc, but it is quite evident to see lot of scam accusations against Hitbtc. Also we can see lot of fake volumes and bots on certain cryptocurrencies trading. Earlier I used to make use of Hitbtc for its listing of large number of tokens that aren't available with Binance. Now I've moved to Binance and for certain tokens even now Hitbtc is preferred.

HitBTC is selectively scamming their users and I saw different stories if you visited this board and find their ANN thread you will never see good feedback there against to HitBTC exchange.  It's always stuck and loss withdrawal or locking accounts for no reason.

There are more advantages on Binanance while HitBTC is full of disadvantages which it should be avoided with all cost.

I have an account on both of these exchange platforms, but when HitBTC imposed their KYC verification (IIRC year 2019) I stop using them since as much as I can I will avoid KYC for a good reason.

Maybe, he is hearing some promos or rewards from shillers. But there's no way I will trust my coins to hitbtc. With several allegations thrown to this exchange, why would someone trust this exchange? Binance is very far from this exchange. Their reputation is so much better and your coins are pretty much secure in BNB.

Im actually able to say the same thing but since you had mentioned it out then it is indeed just tip of the iceberg and there are still lots of issues known and still unresolved
on that exchange Hitbtc. I dont know on how he considered on making up such comparison between the two in talking with Binance which is clear as day on which one is
really better and compared also into known issues which Binance does have less or have some smooth experience most of the time, although there are some issues but

From wherever you hear about HitBtc either they are paid groups who want to promote the exchanges or just new traders. I have heard several instances where they scammed the user behind their KYC trap.

They are selective scammers and since you are already using an exchange as reputed as Binance, you shouldn't change it at all. I have used them in past and didn't got scammed (hitbtc) but from what I am hearing now, certainly they have started scamming some users.

No offense to the OP but it's really a dumb question to ask. Hitbtc is nowhere near to compare Binance. Even a basic comparison of their volume will show you how dumb it is to compare them.
Hitbtc's volume is just 2.5+ Billion Dollars where as Binance's volume is more than 63.5 Billion Dollars. The Binance coin or BNB's total volume is more than 6 Billion dollars now. So there is no way anyone can prefer Hitbtc over Binance.

The only reason why I think people or at least old school traders prefer HitBTC is because it was founded early on 2013, years before Binance was born. I will admit that I have been using HitBTC since 2018, no problem whatsoever, but with so many accusations, it's better to move to Binance and that's what I have been using since 2018. And then Binance takes over the exchange business becoming one of the biggest. So it's pretty obvious that traders prefer Binance over HitBTC. Maybe there are shitcoins that is listed on HitBTC that's why there are still traders on that exchange, but if you wanted to have a good experience and not worry that you are going to be scam, then you should shift to Binance.

HitBTC has a great history of refusing withdrawals and ask for KYC or unnecessary documents from their users anytime they want without any proper excuse and for made up reasons, just search for "HitBTC scam" on google to fully understand the gravity of the situation here, searching for the word "HitBTC" in the forum also should give you the answer.

I believe if your balance is small they let you trade and withdraw just fine but the moment your balance goes higher than a certain limit they start coming up with made up reasons that they found some suspicious activity on your account and start asking for documents and such.

Yup, There are no advantages of HitBTC over binance except for a slightly more intuitive and user-friendly interface based on my reviews.  Binance has been elaborating on this over the years.  transaction fees of hitbtc are higher.  and dozens of lawsuits and poor feedback in customer service.
it would be a mistake to choose hitbtc instead of binance.

Binance is a lot preferred by users here than hitBTC.

I have used the two before, my first exchange was hitbtc because I was conscious about hack, I heard the exchange has never being hacked before, but the exchange have many disadvantage, the first is the high withdrawal fee, even high for altcoins. Later I opened binance, I was surprised to see altcoin withdrawal fee to be significantly low compared to hitbtc, also bitcoin withdrawal fee was lower. Also the trading fee on hitbtc is 0.25% for takers aside having being verified which can reduce it but on binance the trading fee is 0.1%

I can't speak on behalf of hitbtc because I am not using it and I haven't stopped using Binance neither because for spot trading I am still using that. However I can tell you why I have stopped using Binance as much as I used to, which could maaaaybe give some help, maybe not since the end result will be different.

I have started using uniswap for a while but the fee got high so now I am using pancakeswap so I can say that I have moved away from Binance because thats centralized and I didn't want one company to control all my money and that is why these decentralized places were better options for me and I would always own my money. Hitbtc is another centralized exchange so the reason why I am not using Binance as much as I used to can't be applied to using Hitbtc but at least it would be a proof that some people want to get away from it.

Binance will be the best exchange compare to HitBTC, and we know that Binance has more benefits than HitBTC.
I still use Binance and do not use HitBTC to get a chance to make a profit than in HitBTC.

Many of those reviews that he has seen were from fake reviews. Those that he has "heard", it's rampant on the web when somebody is looking for a review.

As far as I know they don't offer any kind of relaxation on the trading fees either so why would one ever decide to take risk and use a website which isn't proven let alone having so many scam accusations against them.

I even stopped using poloniex long back because binance almost offers everything which I need. They have leverage trading option too which although I don't use much but is a good addition along with futures.

Not sure if its possible but having a decentralized exchange with same features as binance would be a dream come true because despite everything binance offers, there is always the issue of identity being known to them.

Among hitbtc and binance, I use binance as my first priority because it is user friendly. Low trading fees, good support team, easy to trade, high volume and so many advanced features that I like very much.

Binance is already a well-known exchange that gives credibility over the past few years there's no way you can compare these two such hitbtc is a scammy exchange and has a lot of scam accusations. Actually I was facing the same issue with uniswap and you have given a really good option of moving to pancakeswap and because it's built on Binance chain, the transaction fees shouldn't be a problem.

Moving forward everyone will switch to decentralized exchanges, I assume,  because restrictions are getting more and more suitable for governments and the whole purpose of user controlling their funds which I believe was the basic aim of creating BTC, is being destroyed by the limitations and use of these centralized exchanges.
