There was no bitcoin in the past and if we think about what people were doing back then, the answer to this question will not be too difficult because we are not talking about a very distant time. Well if it wasn't bitcoin or other crypto it ,would have been other medium of exchange,payment and investment, change and innovations is a constant thing that always happen

Even now with crypto in existence billions of people are still into the banking system,  it didn't stop people to use the bank, crypto and bank are coexist for now, before there was anything like crypto banks was always there to serve people and even now that crypto is present, banks are still playing a very important role.

Indeed, it hasn't had a big impact because there are alternative payment methods that are more consistent as you mentioned, but in this 21st era we need privacy for the transactions we do in the digital world, I don't mean to make illegal transactions such as buying weapons or drugs, but there are sometimes we need a really simple payment method and use a relatively cheaper fee.

Cryptocurrency opens the door to transactions between businesses around the world more easily and quickly. Call it Litecoin, we know that Litecoin is not Bitcoin, but the existence of Bitcoin led to the emergence of Litecoin. If we connect bitcoin with banks there will be no end because both of them will last forever and besides that we live under government control even though bitcoin or other crypto has the freedom to use it and is completely controlled by ourselves. but will not be able to completely replace government regulated banks.
If a world without bitcoin or other crypto like me wouldn't have had a much better life after the existence of bitcoin.

Without Bitcoin we wouldn't had the possibility to send money across borders at a fraction of the cost. Despite current high fees and slow transaction processing times, Bitcoin is still better than a wire transfer. Altcoins like Litecoin and Dogecoin are even much better than Bitcoin in this regard, making them extremely versatile for day-to-day payments. I couldn't imagine how you'd live without Bitcoin, being subject to the rules of central banks and governments alike.

Of course, most people still haven't heard about Bitcoin up to this date. They're living their lives as usual with Fiat by their side. But they'll be searching for an "exit route" once central banks collapse altogether with the ever-rising inflation rates. If Bitcoin didn't exist, there wouldn't be a way for people to protect themselves from a global economic collapse. Kudos to Satoshi Nakamoto for making Bitcoin a reality back in 2009. It's a decade later, and Bitcoin is still going strong as sound money for the whole world to enjoy. Who knows how far Bitcoin will go the more popular it becomes in the mainstream world? The world without Bitcoin would be a world where fiat systems would still be without any competition whatsoever. That is not too bothering for people in rich countries with stable economies, but we have seen what happens with Bitcoin volume in countries like Venezuela when inflation gets out of control.
