Why do people care who Satoshi Nakamoto is/was? It's like wondering the name of the person that created the wheel. Sure, I suppose I would be curious about the name of the inventor of the wheel, if nothing else to raise a beer to them from time to time, but ultimately the wheel is the important part of the story.

In my opinion not all people care too much who really Satoshi is. But of course in most cases people are interested in the invention mostly, and in the personality may be they are just curious and that is all. Banal curiosity. Those who are interested mostly in the Bitcoin and its nature and future destiny they do not care about the real or fake personality of Satoshi. And in case using a wheel every day a person do not even remember the name of its creator. The same is with Bitcoin and Nakamoto.

All care to the point that why he or they gone without tracks for over the years also people are so interested to know on whats current life status of bitcoin creator. Maybe there are other who just like the technology but majority is seeking the information about him/her thats why there are so many scattered fake information about him and its always posted on the news because whenever someone says they are Satoshi many people will get curious to see if he is the creator.

And these things will continue to pile up because people's curiosity would really be continuous until it would really be resolved or known out which we had even some new satoshi related topics once again on this forum but what are the common reaction we do get from the community? This is mostly been ignored.

We might be interested but its better to leave if he decided to be anonymous until this very time and just watching anonymously on how his creation did really
succeed in terms of financial system.

People are just curious, that's intrinsic to all humans. Satoshi is also the first to have come up with crypto via Bitcoin generation so I suppose there will be some token of personal gratitude if we ever find out who he/them are. Nothing more than that. We just like knowing things

I like your analogy, because knowing Satoshi Nakamoto's identity does not change our lives or our view of Bitcoin. The most important thing is

Been curious about the identity of Satoshi should be normal. It brings clearer picture of blockchain technology and  enlighten others who would love to know how the whole technology came about. For me I love to buy knowledge. If I can deep deeper to find out his original identity I would do that. Not just for knowledge sake, but so as to approach the appreciate the technology behind the digital currency which has dominated the entire world

I think mostly the ones that care about the idea of cryptocurrency don't care much about the identity and rumors going around it.
The main reasons why people express interest in Satoshi's identity are that Bitcoin is a revolutionary invention, much more than the wheel, I think, and it's not something as common or something we use in everyday life, it's still relatively new and the more there's talk about it on media - the more people want to know.
Also, the fact that Satoshi conceals his identity makes it more desirable, wouldn't you agree? Imagine if no one knew who invented Facebook, people would certainly wonder.

Until now, Satoshi Nakamoto true identity is still a big mystery, Many parties want to reveal who Satoshi Nakamoto really is, but true identity can be said to be highly speculative.  There has been much debate as to who this very mysterious figure actually was.  There are those who assume that Satoshi can be one person or a group of people, He could still be alive or is dead.  But without solid evidence, we will never know who the real Satoshi Nakamoto is.

Most of us here don't care who Satoshi Nakamoto is, even though satoshi didn't invent the blockchain, we have to thank this one person, because he was the first to create a decentralized currency on top of the blockchain technology that has benefited  us to this day.

Actually you've made a point. Who knows how many things there are out there that we still don't know the inventors of them. But people are still getting curious about it anyway. For example, we know who invented Ethereum or many other well-known cryptocurrencies. But we have no idea about Bitcoin. Actually we have some ideas but we can't still prove anything.

I think it's a form of respect and admiration for the person behind the success of BTC and there's nothing wrong with it. It's like how did he come up with the idea of BTC and Cryptocurrency? it might just be impossible to see him though.  if you have been in this forum for a while, you'd see countless times a thread about users trying to find him and analyzes his posts just to have clues. he seems to have covered all his tracks and not even trying to withdraw any of his coins to keep his privacy. he is an important person in the history of finance. it's interesting to know the person behind Bitcoin creation but i hope he won't be found.
