3rd driver means not on the race grid anymore. only as a test driver and reserve driver if the 2 main drivers lewis hamilton or Charles Leclerc are injured can only race on the grid again. if there is an offer from another team to be the main driver or on the science grid, he will definitely choose to leave ferarri.

Yeah, it means nothing at all you are right.

Like 2 years ago with Covid, many teams got the reserve driver but everyone was calling Hulkenbergh when someone was positive.

Heard some news most hadn't heard before but they have something going on brought to the Swiss courts in regards to the branding of this F1 car.
On several podcasts I had briefly heard F1 sponsorships can not include anything to do with gambling.
So maybe they will just have this livery for testing in Barcelona set to take on this week and Kick promptly placed on the livery when they race.

As I understand, gambling advertisements is allowed in F1, but in some countries where they're racing it's illegal and probably they wouldn't be alllowed to display Stake name there. As of going to court, Sauber is Swiss team, while Stake don't have license which is accepted there, their license as usual in crytpo gambling is issued in Curacao.

Still not so sure about the name as it looks like a mashup of advertisers names. Thought the RB was for the obvious naming format but it is not.

Great article, nailed it what's wrong with their name. Simply everyting is wrong with it and it's hard to remember worse F1 team name. I'm still wondering how commentators are going to call them. Racing Bulls sounds most logical, but it makes confusion with Red Bull.

That makes sense because they showed the car with kick inplace of what they showed during the launch aswell.
So the jurisdictions they aren't allowed they can just bring those decals on the body instead.
Sauber is Swiss so makes complete sense why they are in Swiss courts then.
They also had advertisements in other sports such as the UFC and have done the same for those aswell.

Ferrari had their launch yesterday but it was just a minute and a half long.

Mercedes also announced their car yesterday. It looks like they are back in their golden age colours.    The black car was also really nice but the traditional design is better I think. It reminds me the years with Hamilton domination and Hamilton must also be happy to see this look again. We will see how competitive Mercedes will be this year but I don't have high expectations.

I hope that they have a challenge now with the championships, I believe that that's the ultimate goal that they have. Maybe they can bounce back with this and since it's their golden age colors, they can go back into the peak performance that they have dominated before. Hmm.

I remember that it's the issue with the downforce and stability right? They are having a hard time with it with the previous cars.

This time we have a change on the race day. If I'm not wrong this will be the first time ever to have a race on a Saturday.    As usual qualifying session will be a day before the race. I wouldn't say no to start watching Formula 1 again one day earlier thanks to this change. It is quite difficult to predict the first race - except what Verstappen will do.

Which teams do you think we would see making a good start?

Yes, there is a change like this for 2024 season. It isn't going to be only for this race as well. The Saudi Arabia and Las Vegas races are also scheduled to be on Saturdays for now.  

I was thinking like there weren't any races held on a Saturday before but it looks like there were actually a lot of such races in the past.    First of all I forgot about 2023 Las Vegas GP being held on a Saturday. In addition to that one, this source named "The Race" says that there were many more Saturday races in the 20th century.

Maybe we would see more Saturday races to come by next seasons which would be nice to try as you said.

Watching some of the driver's reactions from the testing sessions yesterday, the most surprising one to hear was Leclerc's talking about Hamilton and how he would happy to race along side with him.

Still questioning why they decided to make this move public before this season even began.
It just makes it so very weird to know a driver is splitting from a team they have been the face of for so long while they will be racing for them during the upcoming season.

Just finished watching the first episode of the sixth season of DTS and it all seemed so long ago especially when they start the second episode stating it was from December 2022 with the Horner family celebrating Chirstmas.

But as each one of them is one of the most skilled drivers on the grid I thought Leclerc would prefer less competition against himself. Ferrari don't have a system of hierarchy about their drivers so it would be interesting to watch the competition between them.

These two's dynamic will be quite different than what Max and Perez have at Red Bull. Where Checo knows he is the second driver and will let Max pass without any competing for first.
But as you had mentioned, I can see both these drivers not letting the other overtake.
That is just not in their nature. They have always been lead drivers at this time in their careers for the teams they have been with.
So it will make for an interesting time to see when they are both racing for the same team.

Watched a couple more episodes of Drive to Survive and it isn't as good as the very first season was.
But there are parts in it where you can see they are eluding to Lewis making the move to Ferrari.

I think we might actually have a close season of F1 because after 1st session of qualifying , we can see that RedBull is not so much in front of the others and that's why I expect to see a close title battle this year even if it looks clearly that Max has a superior car and only his mistakes could make him lose this title.

Overall , I could see McLaren already struggling and it seems that this car was made once again for Norris and once again he let us down but on the other side , Piastri is still consistent and motivated and I don't think Norris will win this year against Piastri at points. I could also see that Ferrari finally looks like a solid team , great team radio and hopefully they will have a solid race strategy as well. I'm also happy for Aston Martin and Alonso who looks by far the most improved car this year with potential of achieving at least 4 podiums this year.  For Mercedes I can't really tell because they were almost out of Q3 so I can't trust this car yet.

As was seen right from their testing days back Red bull have the machine this season to keep winning and the other teams haven't figured out how to beat Max yet.
The qualifying sessions showed Mercedes as struggling same as last season and the Ferraris are once again just out of reach of the Red Bull car they have modified to Verstappen to pick up from last season.

All markets are pointing for another Max Win with the oddmakers prior to qualifying closing @1.35x and post is @1.16x

Get ready for an F1 race in Bahrain early Saturday morning.

While Verstappen has 1.15 odds it is 8.00 for his closest opponent who is Leclerc.    The gap is just huge even for the start of the season. But any of us surprised with that? I don't think so.  



Perez is given 25.00 odds for the win... Still he is in a really bad condition. He is just not the right driver for the seat anymore and Red Bull boss must be also aware of that. I know I'm prejudiced as the season is starting new. But after seeing this performance in qualifying I just can't see any difference with the previous season.

Red Bull overlook this for now because of Verstappen's single-handedly carrying the team but at some point Perez would be shown the door.
