PPS. I would not be too surprised if some older drivers just leave during the season to other series where the cars are.. still proper cars.

Something similar like Max was doing last season already? Wouldn't be surprised about this. But intensive calendar doesn't leaves much room for it.

Really thought it was Alonso's last year for the previous season but he is back and would be the oldest driver on the circuit.
Bottas and Perez came back and those two probably would be the second and third oldest drivers.

About the cars feeling more like Formula E cars, I tried watching the final race of their season last weekend and just couldn't. Those electric engines are just constantly whining and a very loud annoying sound to watch for two hours.

The 2026 F1 season starts in less than ten days in Melbourne.
Don't believe there are anymore of these tests from the official F1 page the one in Bahrain closed a few days ago.
What was one major factors that a team learned from those tests? Aston Martin hates the Honda engine and regret partnering with them.
I am certain there were more complains from other teams on how they viewed their new cars for this season. Lewis always hates the car he always ends up with at the start of each season.
So there is no surprise there.

He realized that when everyone says the cars are crap, you can't be the only one to say it otherwise.
So we have a season where about now nobody is really keen on seeing it getting started, probably just the ones making the money from the tv rights, the pilots don't like it, the teams are bored to death with regulations that make everything a challenge, the fans aren't keen about either of the modifications, so....
