I disagree with Peanutswar words above about being ready on losing money and as you said that most of them arent expecting or anticipating that way but instead they do hope for them to win
and make their capital becomes bigger with gambling.Its a common aim or goal of most gamblers to win and only a few who are really just accepting the truth towards gambling and losses are really just the same.

On my personal preference, I would loved to apply all particular ways in order to have better odds when I bet. I don't rely only with one options, but rather seeking many types would be the best.
In the end, losses might occur so it's always rewarding when best of lucks come our way. Then surprises will always be a glorious time to come.

If you are gambling then you need to accept the fact that you will be loosing money as well and i had dark patches and went on for loosing streaks and when that happens i usually takes a long break and mostly i will shift to another site to try my luck and that is how i did in the past and if the bad luck continues i will be smart enough to get out rather than chasing the loss, if not it will burn your wallet further rather than recovering.

I've seen a few people thought of that. When they've lost a lot as they gamble, they blame the casino and thought that it's cheating on them. That's why many are not yet prepared even as they register to a casino. Things and events can turn unexpectedly even if they have a plan when they start.

You don't want to ask your friends to place bets for you. I mean unless they are someone who is very chill with you, you should never tell anyone else to do it on your behalf. What if you lose big? Your "friend" is going to feel guilty or you will end up blaming him. What if you win big? You "friend" might think he deserve the win. Don't ever tell some random friend to place bets on your behalf.

Totally agree. Mixing family and friendship with money (including gambling, crypto, borrowing etc) is a good recipe to ruin your relationships.

I think asking them to help you buy a number ticket for a few cents or a lottery ticket that they can pass to you when they are home (like if they're going to the shops) is okay and I do it all the time.

But to ask them to take money and bet for you? Utterly ridiculous. Don't ruin your friendship:)

And even something as simple as that is not such a good idea either, some people may think it is extreme but money and family must never be mixed, it always bring trouble and it is simply not worth the resentment and the family issues this is going to raise, never ask favours to your family when it comes to money because if they do not do it right then you are going to blame them forever, I say this because I know of a story like that, a friend of a friend asked a family member to buy a specific set of lottery numbers which were his lucky numbers and those numbers won a decent prize, he was happy only to discover the family member bought his own lucky numbers and lost and since that day they do not speak to each other.

I prefer to be a lone bettor and go with the team or player I think that will win. Being a competitive gambler means you have a bigger bankroll to put in gambling and I can't afford to do that at my current position. It also needs extra dedication because being a competitive one means you are into profit. Being a lone bettor is more suited for small-time gamblers like me, it is less frustrating when you don't win.

I get what you're trying to say here but I think you should also try to gamble with your best friend or friends because that way more entertaining especially when you guys are teasing each other because some of you lose already. Even if you don't win, the bonding and memories you guys are having is priceless and could help you to realize that gambling is not really that good for entertainment since you're losing your money that is very hard to earn.

I do prefer betting on sports and I do not want to compete wiht anybody as we already compete with luck as the outcomes we try to foresee are very hard. Salute to you mate, I am also the type of gambler in which I am not competing with anyone but I am playing to enjoy and to earn a little as well. Being a lone wolf is quite good because you don't need to compete with the best ones in which you only care about your own self but I've also tried on being a competitive and it is also fun but it is also out of my league in which it is not my type of personality so that I remain as the being lone bettor everytime.

Technically speaking you are competing against the casino when you are making sports bets but I get what you are saying, at the end this is a matter of preferences, some people like to gamble with their friends because they find it more entertaining that way, if you bet against your friend and you win you have a reason to have some fun at his expense and obviously when the opposite happens then your friends may have some fun at your expense, but that is not for everyone as many people like more the aspect of watching different statistics and analyzing the odds and try to predict winners that way instead of having a competition among their friends.

Being a competitive gambler doesn't always require large amount of funds though. There are various challenges on various casinos and sportsbooks where you can just participate even for free and compete with a large player pool and the one with the highest points can win. I remember recently stake organized such an event at their forum where you can enter for free and the highest points for the challenge win prizes.

Competitive or lone gambling it can be done with any amounts actually, yes if you are trying to participate in races then you might need a large amount of coins to even be anywhere in the race but then like I said, there are lots of challenges you can play with free or very little deposit.

I like to bet whenever I feel like and have no obligations, no need for regularity, and no rules to follow. I think it's a more suitable form for frequent bettors, who can get bored from regular betting. Also, losing in betting while you're in a competition is much more frustrating. There are lots of options for you to take because there are lots of gambling platforms in the market which you can use and we know that not all would really be that confident nor prefer
similarly on the place where they do play so you do always have the free will to choose which one do really suits you.

Yes, I think we can use Bitcointalk to find the recommended gambling site and we do not have to search for the other site. We do not have to worry about the scam as the @OP and the member can communicate in this forum. So if they have a problem on one gambling site, they can directly contact the owner or representative person, helping them solve the problem.
