There's no exact time for when this journey will end for both of them mate, eth will always follow what pathways does bitcoin have. From the past years we've experienced less than $2k per btc and now this is what happened to eth price, which nobody expected that scenario.
Once Bitcoin price fluctuates even more, the entire cryptocurrency market will be affected because of supply and demand fluctuations.

Yes i do and i have seen that in the past when ethereum was leaving from the domination of bitcoin caused by it was getting a good news. Remember about last week we are seeing ethereum goes up when bitcoin was getting the correction but i don't even think that people will be seeing ethereum first and then bitcoin.
Bitcoin will be ruling the crypto market forever and that can't be argued anymore.

For some, the possibility that ETH will stop following BTC is true, but in terms of surpassing BTC let alone making people look for ETH before BTC it seems impossible, because the dominance of BTC is already very strong and difficult to be surpassed by other altcoins

I wouldn't call Ethereum a sidekick of bitcoin, if ever there will be one, it should be litecoin, as it was a fork from bitcoin and acted like a testing ground for his big brother. As for the correlation, it's obvious that every coin is pair with BTC/x that's why everyone including Ethereum, although a prime mover in the altcoin market should follow bitcoin's price movement. And I don't think that Ethereum will overtake bitcoin as the main dominant coin in the market, it won't happen. So Ethereum will always follow bitcoin's price movement, no matter what.

No.

It will always be correlated to bitcoin's price. That's why when we look at it, bitcoin goes up and ethereum goes up too. And when Ethereum goes up, the other altcoins are also going to go up too. That's the domino effect of bitcoin and to all of the altcoins in the market. As a store of value, people will look for bitcoin first.

Better to request all exchanges to remove ETH from "BTC" pair so that eth won't follow bitcoin anymore whenever bitcoin takes a huge pump/dump as ethereum along with other altcoins price are adjusted according to the price movement of bitcoin.  Though it's quite impossible as btc pair is well famous and it's been the first priority for any projects to list on that.

About the use, etheruem had the opportunity during the ICO days because if ICO succeeded, it would have won large number in the cryptocurrency community as etheruem will be used as gas for all the erc20 platforms but ICO is largely a scam and projects were abandoned, so that brought the growing community down. This affected etheruem IMO. And another major challenge apart from etheruem network, the fees too increase when that of bitcoin too is high. But if etheruem fees can get low when bitcoin is high, it will push more community to etheruem. This is a major factor to the height that bnb is because when bitcoin and etheruem fees increased, bnb fee was cheaper and the use increase which pumped price of bnb.

Thats not the case with ETH almost every coin in crypto market is linked with bitcoin moment. Crypto market is green when bitcoin is green and red when bitcoin is red. At least for couple of years to come this pattern will continue.

I don't even think that ethereum will stop to follow bitcoin, it's non sense if you are only mentioning ethereum while almost all of the major coins were also following bitcoin.
I think that ethereum will always become a secondary choice for everyone consider both were having different purpose.
If you are asking ethereum believers and ethereum will always at the top of their choices. The different result will happen when you are asking bitcoin maximalist.

Right now, we cannot say that Ethereum will continue to follow Bitcoin because of the issue they are facing right now, high transaction fee, and confirmation that takes hours to fully confirmed, the question if they are going to surpass Bitcoin still lies on how they are going to fix they are facing right now and how, they are going to keep up their development so they will remain on top of their games.

Bitcoin dominates not because it has any special technologies, but because it confidently withstood all difficulties, took off and fell repeatedly, won the trust of the largest investors and was chosen as the most reliable crypto asset.

Ethereum is more a platform for the development of blockchain projects, applications, it is not just a currency. ETH is a worthy product that certainly has all the chances to operate independently without dependence on Bitcoin. And we will see it's great triumph.

Maybe on the right time, there are few chances and one I know is that if the owner of 1 million bitcoin does shows and cash it all out. Selling those massive amounts of btc would lead to the crash of Bitcoin and there the ones would takes it place is thr second in n line which is eth. I don't know for sure, it's just my opinion.

Although both great crypto to invest, bitcoin has dominated the market in the beginning since it started this whole phenomena. What Ethereum is doing is that it dominates the alt coin market, many competitions in the last several years, and yet they it is the number 1 alt coin, I think that is good enough accomplishment.

Agreed, i think that i should add something important like despite the fact crypto is still following bitcoin but the trend will be totally determined by fundamental of crypto itseld and why? When bitcoin is bullish but the fundamental is bearish and then the crypto or altcoins have no power to follow the bitcoin, market will give a very bad reaction to the price and this will make the altcoin can't follow bitcoin or perform the opposite thing than bitcoin.

I think that bitcoin will always be ruling the crypto market forever but it doesn't mean altcoins were 100% follow the bitcoin trend.

I hope it will happen, because the main problem of the cryptocurrency market is depending on the price of the Bitcoin and projects which have really great technical base aren`t appreciated by the investors only because of the bitcoin price, which can go up and down several times per day

I believe it is because of the market cap since Bitcoin is larger market cap than Bitcoin. But I think even Ethereum will surpass the market cap of Bitcoin, it will probably still the same.
What reason can it be more possible is when some good news occurs on Ethereum, then we can see Ethereum will pump. And some other scenario is when Bitcoin pumps, Ethereum will too but the percentage of increase is greater for Ethereum.

Ethereum or any other altcoin have their own price movements too, switch their price into BTC instead of US dollar and you will see it. But every time Bitcoin's price changes, their price changes too, because so much of their volume is happening against BTC. I doubt they will ever become uncorellated, because alts will always predominantly trade against BTC and other crypto. The only way for it to happen is if some coin truly flips BTC, but there are absolutely no signs that it can happen, Bitcoin is as strong as ever.

If ethereum community won't stop their support, I think that's the time it will stop of being bitcoin's tail. The strong momentum it has, trading at different exchanges keeps a higher volume that's why we're going to encounter more fluctuations. In recent situations, we can see that each exchange sites maintained a stable market on both currencies and guess traders with huge capitals took their profit more than 100% gains.

Absolutely not. Simply because eth were created by most of the btc's lacking features.

Just like today that bitcoin is really high in terms of price, other will look into other option like ethereum. Not only that, ethereum has a good advantage because it showed how strong it is recently as store of value.  But we should also look other altcoins because other will also give good returns as eth does.
