The reason dogecoin will never get high like other legit coin is :
1. Doge coin in circullation is too much
2. Dogecoin have no cap in " Total Supply Coin "
3. People still believe that dogecoin is only coin for meme ( this is the vision of its creator ) only for meme coin.

Dogecoin mostly used for faucet and casino but after Elon musk tweet Dogecoin got attention of traders and investors.Currently Marketcap of Doge is really stable and if continously its adoption rises it will be another worthty coin.I think Doge is best invest to HODL for long run,If you have patience then HODL it will be profitable for you.

Even with the surge in the dogecoin price this year due to Tesla CEO support of dogecoin the price have not reached $1 and it still far from achieving that milestone,  but we will keep looking at the price to see what will eventually happen.

Sarcasm and joking aside, I am extremely curious how long it would take for this coin to go down to $0.02. In fact it's really strange that it did not get worse after hitting $0.08. I suppose, they are waiting for the critical mass.

What's your idea of whether Doge is viable long term? Do you think it could get much better if some sort of major developers come up with awesome apps to utilize Doge for social media as mentioned above?

if in this way, as before, Elon Musk continues to advertise dage coin, then its price will undoubtedly rise, but I believe that this will already look like speculation, because the real value of the coin should not be comparable to its demand and technical data, and not just because of celebrity tweets.

Elon talked about bitcoin and he literally announced tesla will be selling their cars for bitcoin now and all the bitcoin made from it will be kept in bitcoin as well, yet the price crashed because of all the futures that finished. So if he wasn't capable of doing something for the bitcoin itself with such a huge deal, he will not be capable of doing something for doge by just tweeting about it.

It was a fun time, it was an entertaining time but it's over and will never happen again. Of course we are not going to see what the problem with dogecoin is when there is something like Elon tweeting and hyping it but when everything settles down and the dust clears? People will see that doge is highly centralized and it's not a fun thing to be around, it's not as jokey jokey people assumed it is and it is actually quite a bad investment to make.

If and when DOGE hits $1, most other cryptocurrencies would've reached new ATHs in price. Believe me, it takes more than just a shill for DOGE's price to pump like crazy on the market. The cryptocurrency needs a reduction in supply and a greater economic model to be able to retain a high valuation over the long term. With an inflationary model and a huge supply of coins in circulation, I don't see DOGE going well above $0.10 anytime soon.

But who knows? Anything can happen in this strange and bizarre world of crypto. I'm guessing that most DOGE whales today will become insanely rich once it goes to $1. But the effects won't last for long because of the reasons mentioned earlier. There are far better altcoins on the market with cheaper fees and faster transaction confirmation times than DOGE itself. But people don't care about the technicalities of a cryptocurrency as they're usually based on hype. As long as the "FOMO" sentiment continues, we'll expect wild and crazy price movements in even the most unexpected cryptocurrencies. I think DOGE could reach $0.10 by the end of the year. Anything more than that will be nothing more than a massive pump and dump scheme that will go away faster than you could've ever imagined. Just my opinion

It has always been about Elon Musk. People only bought DOGE based on Elon Musk's "shilling" across social media platforms. They haven't done their own research about Dogecoin before investing based on someone else's opinion. Once the FOMO ends, expect DOGE to go all the way down the drain. Those saying that Dogecoin will hit $1 in the future, don't know what they're talking about. Dogecoin was never meant to be taken as a serious cryptocurrency due to the way it was designed. A huge inflation will debase the value of the coin over the long term. That's the way it works. I would say that DOGE is overpriced right now, considering the large number of coins in circulation.

Nonetheless, we cannot deny the fact that crypto behaves in strange and bizarre ways. DOGE could go higher in price within the short term as the hype persists in the mainstream world. Who knows how far the "meme" coin will go with Elon Musk by its side? We're going to have to see what happens in the long term with DOGE, as people move on to other things. A more realistic goal for Dogecoin by the end of the year would be $0.10 - $0.20 per coin. After the hype ends, we could see DOGE heading below $0.01 once again. Just my thoughts

Nah, it's still used as tips even today the same as I have seen for the past four years in gambling areas. Casinos are always where you see DOGE tipped and rained. As much as I love it, have yet to see anyone actually ask for payment in DOGE (except in casinos as usual).

Dogecoin price will not reach $1 anytime soon. The total supply increase everyday and there is no cap for it which make this coin strugle to reach a certain level of price. Also the holder of this coin 50% coin in circullation hold by only small ammount of person.

Perhaps we will see $ 12, but I am most worried about the commissions, why they are so huge on different exchanges. I remember before the price for the commission was 1-2 DOGE and now it is 50-100. For example on Binance 50 DOGE.

I have the same thought. Let's not expect much, for there are still others who are thinking like it's a garbage coin.
Elon Musk had been the only one who pumped it real hard. He may have his own purpose with that action but we can always just ride that wave for profit.
Doge is not a long-term investment, IMO.
Just take what you can and buy it back when it's cheap. It's also enjoyable to play with it in trading.  A non-stop movement of few satoshis every second.

What are your predictions for Dogecoin's price in the long term? Your input will be greatly appreciated.

I'm personally expecting dogecoins to be testing 1000 satoshi levels in long run. Because, some years back it was trading around 30 satoshi but right now it is trading solidly around 100 satoshi regardless of where bitcoin is trading around. Basically I'm not bothering altcoin prices in USD value like most other people are doing but I'm preferring to trade them only in BTC levels; this way I'm expecting dogecoins to test 400 satoshi in short-term and then 1000 satoshi in long run.

Doge is not a long-term investment, IMO.

I am the one who is holding dogecoins since 2013. I have collected most of my stash from dogecoin faucets and also I mined it using GPU but fortunately I am holding all of my rewards. Previously my target was 100 satoshi but now dogecoin reached up to 230 satoshi hence I plan to hold them for next few years with the target of 1000 satoshi.

It's actually a meme coin that has been pumped due to Elon Musk's tweets. It's not the popularity of Elon has faded but it's the pump that has happened for Dogecoin which everyone recognizes.
Many newbies caught by the hype and those who have sold at the top did well. Another set of people that has to learn the lesson that before investing, they should know what they're investing.

The factor of elon musk pumping up these altcoins is indeed quite large, but if we can see opportunities in making decisions to trade, of course we can benefit.

I am well aware of dogecoin's history and its current status as well still, when billionaires are pumping it, I guess I must need to change my opinion and must need to sail along those billionaires to make some quick profits. Yeah, I guess this is what exactly happening with dogecoins right away. People are investing with it regardless of checking its basics.

Dogecoin is trading above 6.5 cents now and it may test 10 cents in short term and may ride up to 25 to 35 cents in long run. But, dogecoin's bullish mode may be depending on bitcoin's bull run. I guess when bitcoin turns bearish, most coins may start bullish and I believe dogecoins must be one of them.
