I assume you already have some(basic maybe? or more advanced?) knowledge about bitcoin seeing that you can already sign a message. anyway, if you plan to follow the forum rules I suggest reading the stickies of each board but most importantly reading this Newbies - Read before posting and Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ. good luck on your journey of learning here in the forum.

Caross, a little advice for a better start, it is not wise to have a publicly displayed e-mail in your profile - there are very bad people on the forum who will take advantage of this and maybe try to deceive you. Even if this is not the case, you will surely start receiving a lot more spam messages than usual.

To change that click on Profile -> Account Related Settings -> Under Email check box "Hide email address from public."

Because most of the time newbie come here to ask how to earn money or how to earn merits or rank up etc. Atleast you did not do it. So I think you are much constructive than other newcomers. So a better future is waiting for you here in this forum.

Little suggestion to learn first the rules of this forum, try to learn from here, start giving some efforts here. Hope will be well known one about crypto as well as in this forum too.

What's peculiar is, the email display option is hidden by default, so the user probably inadvertently enabled it while clicking through their profile, I can't think of any reason why they would deliberately do so, except theyr do not yet fully value privacy and assume this forum to be like other social platforms.

To OP; privacy and pseudo anonymity are important factors of Bitcoin and the blockchain, in addition to changing the display option to hidden, you should probably remove that email address from any senstive account it is linked to.

To gain more knowledge about the forum and crypto there is no alternative to spend time on the forum. Read as much you can rather than writing the post. Welcome to the forum, looking great just follow all of the rules in the forum, Kinda agree to other members to hide your email it's not worth risking your information.

I suggest starting your journey in cryptocurrency start trading with your investment right now and gain experience from it, the forum could help you a lot through your investment or if you have issues with your wallet or something that is related to cryptocurrency that you cannot solve.

At the same time with your experience, you could also help other members, make suggestions, etc. You could easily post in some discussions like bitcoin and altcoin discussion section like sharing your thoughts and experience.

I appreciate boss for pointing that out for me, my email is hidden now to avoid spam and prevent scammers from trying to their evil luck.

Its one mistake most people make upon registering an account. You become too fast to comprehend and in your effort to hide, you might not understand the instruction following the email to be implying that, the email has been hidden by default. As such, tampering with the box is actually making it visible and thats not a very helpful act. Why?

You begin to have not just spam messages but a lot of attacks on your email and scam messages too. So, its best you stay private on that while you learn with the forum. Though, its always up to you on how to go about with your mail but, words of experience says, its not the best of acts.

You email was not hidden and it can be compromised, your account can be hacked.

You can sign a bitcoin message and stake the signed message on the forum. When it is quoted by other users and verified by them, you can use that address and the signed message to prove the ownership on your account.

Welcome Caross, few months ago I was a newbie like you are right now. The forum will be of great help to you in your crypto journey. I'm a testimony of that fact. A lot of people have mentioned your email being public. I hope you sort that out soon.
My advice to you for starters is Read more and post less. You will find most of the questions you want to ask are already been dealt with previously on the forum. Don't be in a hurry to create a thread or topic, since you're new learn how to make quality posts so you're not tagged as a shit poster. If you do post, read the comments on your post you just might learn a thing or two. Also read the rules of the bitcointalk forum. I think there is a thread for that one. Last but not least avoid bounty and focus on learning.

Now that bitcoin constantly rising in terms of its demand then we will be hoping that more and more users to come here in the forum. This is very important and relevant for us bitcoiners to get more users here in the forum as an indicator that bitcoin adaptation is near. We have already witness great personality like tesla company owner acquiring more BTC seeing the every opportunity that bitcoin could do to the holders.

As I had told in other of my post I am always hoping that bitcoin adaptation could take in place. The reason is for us to have financial freedom where we can use decentralized digital currency with privacy and no third party involved.
