It must be really frustrating for Manchester United to be eliminated by Middlesbrough in the FA Cup yesterday. Actually, it was not because they didn't have many goal chances. They had a really huge performance actually. They got 30 shots in total first of all but they still were able to score only one goal. Ronaldo missed a penalty. Middlesbrough are really lucky to keep them at a draw till the penalty shoot-outs. And after penalties, Middlesbrough magically eliminated them by 8-7. This must be really disappointing for Manchester United.

Well done to Middlesborough for their win but Elanga had a header directed at the goalkeeper when he should have scored. Ronaldo hit wide of the post with a penalty. Fernandes hit the post when he should have scored.

It was a strange night for Manchester United. Middlesborough scored and equalising goal with a handball, the goal should have been disallowed.

Clearly the ManUtd dont see the light in the tunnel. They are going down without brakes. Unbelive how Ronaldo and his fire cant wake up this guys and team.

One funny thing, allways when Messi or Ronaldo scores or win the other scores or win, and when one fails the other also fails its unbelive, in this case Messi the pasts days lost in the france Cup in penaltys, and now....... Ronaldo made the same out of the national cup in penalties.

I am always surprised that coaches again and again think they can make some experiments against second league teams. Of course Manchester played at home, stadium was full, but why risk to change the goalkeeper that night? Not that he is to blame to have lost the penalty shootout, but I believe that Rangnick won't remain the coach when this season ends. He is supposed to become a consultant, yes, but there was also the option on the table for him to remain the manager. I think that option is now pretty much gone. Definitely well done by Middlesborough and if you ask me as a serious soccer fun, eventually I like the fact that small teams can kick out the big ones in a single head-to-head game.

Chelsea struggled to win today in the After Extra time. Plymouth tried in resisting their host, but Alonso came through with an amazing goal. While Crystal Palace are leading in the first half against Hartlepool, Olise after assisting Guehi in scoring the first goal, secured the second goal.

Chelsea won but the match was disappointing, I was expecting Chelsea to win more than a goal range, it was drawn to extra time before Chelsea was able to score another goal, Plymouth Argyle got penalty but missed Ryan Hardie, it would have led to maybe Chelsea losing to penalty, it was the worst of Chelsea I was watching yesterday. Plymouth Argyle is a very small team Chelsea should not stress themselves to win, but they really stressed themselves and wanted to lose. Unlike Liverpool, as expected, Liverpool performed good as I was expecting.

No matter how unlucky Manchester United was on Friday, it is not pleasant to the ears that Middlesbrough eliminated Manchester United in FA Cup. Things have really fallen apart in old Trafford. The glory days are past gone, when sir Fagie will use second eleven and flog Middlesbrough like 5 goals to 1. These days, anything is seeable in Manchester United and I have learnt to complain less. I wouldn't say much though because I didn't see the match.

It would be a shock if Cardiff managed to cause an upset at Liverpool but I think holders Leicester City will have a tough game at Nottingham Forest, I think Forest will win this. As for Boreham Wood they did well to get to the 4th round but their dream run will probably end at Bournemouth.

The winners will go forward in to the 5th round of the draw.

Nottingham Forest could possibly win over Leicester but it will surely be a tough game for them. We've seen how Leicester City defended their team to reach the upcoming round though we can't deny the fact that Nottingham Forest has prepared well for this.

Hey, we are in the 141st season of the oldest football tournament in the world. 

I am a bit surprised that Man City won with such a big margin against Fulham, but it was a fun match to watch.    I lost some money betting on the Wolves against Norwic City ...but got some back on my bet with Huddersfield vs Barnsley. (They did well with 62% possession) 

In my opinion, Tottenham are favorites against Middlesbrough in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Well, one strength of Chelsea is that at times they know how to get away with minimalism. Forest scored 2 goals around 87 seconds apart to make it 2-0 then scored a third to make it 3-0 with all 3 goals coming in 9 minutes. Leicester deserved to be knocked out and Forest thoroughly deserved to go through to the 5th round.

Congratulations to Nottingham Forest. Football in England is very busy schedule because there are several competitions that require extra energy for each player. Leicester City 4-1 defeat was not an interesting sight. Is Leicester City not focused on the FA?

I think this round has highlighted the difference between Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester City with the latter two demonstrating they're much more likely to win silverware this year. It's hard to look past the two, though I'm actually hoping we get a lesser team lifting the trophy at the end. Even if I was offered the chance for my team to win the Premier League, Champions league, and then the FA Cup I'd prefer to see a lesser team just simply because I believe that's partly what makes the FA cup an enjoyable cup despite not being overly important to many of the teams that play in it.

FA cup to me screams grass root football, and it's one of the only competitions we actually see lesser clubs take on giants, and actually win routinely. Even if that's because the bigger teams usually field their youngsters.

@Welsh earlier big teams didn’t really focus much on FA cup, but lately each manager is keen to win maximum trophies instead of being content and focused on winning just the Premier League and Champions League. Lastly I agree with you that City and Liverpool are the favourites to win it, and it’ll take nothing less than a miracle for those smaller clubs to beat them.

Middlesbrough has ushered out two top premiere league teams out of the FA cup which many of us did not anticipate , could these guys be the surprise package that could challenge for this cup or they will be crashing out anytime soon

Quick goal from Luton Town in the 4th minute A goal from Reece Burke's header stunned Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, the game had just started and Chelsea still had plenty of chances to score and even beat him with a big score.
I think Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool are not too focused on this game, because at the weekend they will be playing in the EPL to chase full points in the EPL to secure Kalsmen's position and also chase points above it, that's important.

I think the slot for one big falling in this round it has taken by the Spurs i dont thing two big teams will fall in this round.
But lets see whats happen, in other things West Ham Saints its a game in what i dont know who can win, West Ham seems so strong in this competition this year clearing United and City.

Chelsea had to win after coming back from a goal down twice. Southampton scored two late goals to beat West Ham. Liverpool beat a determined Norwich. The winners have moved on to the quarter-finals stage.
