Tesla price will depreciate as time goes on why that of bitcoin won't according to history, so, i wouldn't ever risk my hard earned Bitcoins just to buy Tesla that will grow to become less in $$$. I will rather keep on hodling the bitcoin till the expected value is reach before sale, i come to understand bitcoin as a store of value and not just an asset that should be mess up becasue of what the world will see in you as a person now.

If you believe that way, it's better to keep your hard earned bitcoin and wait till the value went according

to your target, might be in that time the value of your chosen car from tesla is more cheaper. It's  really

depends from how you see the future potential of bitcoin and it's up to you to where to use it.

Would you buy Tesla using your Bitcoin or you will wait to $100K?  Roll Eyes
^ If I am not in hurry I will.
But I will prefer to choose HODL than spending using to buy a new car, once I saw my profit was doubled that is the time I will buy a new car but not Tesla.
Ferrari is my dream car. When they will accept BTC?
It seems that there are hardly a lot of people willing to make purchases with bitcoins now. Almost everyone will now hold bitcoins and expect its further price growth. That's that. Bitcoin is now almost entirely a speculative asset. Everything has its time. When will it change. Now there is a "gold rush" among bitcoin holders.

I would rather wait till Bitcoin reaches $100k. This is the trend line we are all anticipating for . Tesla can be bought anytime. Even if the opportunity is missed we can always buy more shares with our Bitcoin. Missing out from the crpyto market when Bitcoin eventually hits $100k is something no one would wish to experience after a long time of holding on to the coin

Buying a Tesla with bitcoin will most likely be a great sales gimmick, to generate attention around Tesla.
May be they wanted to create a hype and a selling point to attract wealthy investors but from what i understand they are having good sales even without much advertisement.

But I think only a few people will use the paying methods, as most people who hold enough bitcoins to buy a Tesla, understand that the real value of bitcoins is much higher than the dollar price bitcoins has right now.
If you are having monetary restrictions then you are not going to use them to purchase anything in life. The investors who are able to buy Tesla using bitcoin are not going to be small time investors and hence they do not compare them with the future valuation if they wanted a car now.

Actually for now I don't imagine myself having an electric car. I have never seen any in my whole life and I'm not sure if I would be able to maintain it. Furthermore Tesla isn't disponible in my country and region yet for purchase (only for rent), and as we know it's really expensive when compared to the popular car brands, so it will take some time until I'm able to acquire one for sure.

I do not think there are going to be a lot of people that are going to want to buy Tesla at the moment when just holding your bitcoin is going to be a better business over the long term, I think people are going to wait at least until they can get a model S Tesla for less than 1 bitcoin, once that becomes a reality then we are going to see more people buying a Tesla with bitcoins but even then the demand is not going to be as high because as we know the car everyone wants to buy with their bitcoins are Lambos and not Teslas.

Well that's up to one's personal preference.
I don't like drive a lot or to be a showy dude using that car, but it would be a nice experience to drive one actually.
In regards of buying it with Bitcoin, it would be hella coin-venient for me to buy one as I said before here, but it is almost the same thing as going all-out in crypto which I wouldn't do at all, judging from how much Tesla costs.

I’m going to buy a Tesla Cybertruck using Bitcoin and I’m documenting the experience on this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5326636.0

I’m hoping I’ll be able to tour the factory and drive it home myself to capture that experience as well. Might be a good thread to check back on in a year.

I have a lot of respect for Tesla, after they invested in Bitcoin and accepted Bitcoin as one of the payment methods for the purchase of their products. But at the same time, I am sorry to say that their vehicles are overpriced and overhyped. I can get a gasoline-run equivalent for 1/3rd or 1/4th the price of these vehicles. Also, the maintenance charges seems to be very high for Tesla, as we need to replace the battery every 5-6 years.

People who have a large amount of bitcoin that want to spend for a tesla if you are just a normal people you can easy bought a single tesla if you want but what it cost is your Bitcoin imagine you hold that bitcoin that for your dream tesla and after a few years the price of the Bitcoin use up and not just one but also it can triple the Tesla you can buy. This is just a marketing strategy of Elon Musk to gather more bitcoin afaik there's a trillion of the market cap of the bitcoin.

I think good to have bitcoin than tesla.

look at this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5326636.msg56657580#msg56657580 ( i missed the post above )  .
he already bought a tesla using his btc but he is an old member and he already waited for too long and now he is rewarding his self with a brand new pick up truck from tesla .
for us that are not that old in btc , we need to collect more btc and wait for more price hikes before we can afford a high valued brands like tesla .

The market has buyers and sellers. So I'm sure someone will pay for Tesla's car with Bitcoin. I think Bitcoin is just a means of payment. As far as I know, Americans have a habit of paying off an item in installments rather than buying it outright. If Tesla allows installment payments in Bitcoin, many people will choose this option.

With the news they accept bitcoin as payment I am happy. This has made the BTC price go up. In addition,  more investors' eyes are opening and attracting interest in investing in Bitcoin. To buy Tesla  I think I would do if I had 1000BTC at current prices😍. I agree with  you say, for the economy in my area same with you , it may be too expensive. Then regarding spare parts and maintenance maybe in my area it is difficult to get. But I believe Tesla will grow and get bigger, and I hope they will make cheap cars for the world.

They are not willing to convert to fiat when you use BTC to purchase Tesla. Emerging buying a Tesla and found out after a few months that you have actually paid for 2 or 3 of such. Elon Musk is very wise selecting the best, the first and the most secure digital currency as a payment option

I am not sure that the strategy of Tesla and Elon Musk personally includes the sale of the cheapest cars  Grin But it is irrelevant if Tesla maintains and strengthens its current market position, then after a while, when electric cars occupy a dominant niche in the market, we can expect to produce cars at even lower prices. Because at this point in time, Tesla's products are not so cheap, and even part of the price is covered by government subsidies, which, however, are slowly beginning to be canceled, as for example in the UK and not in every country a person can afford such a purchase.

I don't have that much of a problem if I have to pay $30,000 or $40,000 for a new Telsa car. But my problem is that the battery they are providing may not last long and needs to be replaced every 4-5 years (and the battery alone can cost somewhere around $10,000 to $15,000). They need to invent a better technology, that lasts longer. The current lithium-nickel-cobalt-aluminum batteries being used by Telsa are neither effective, nor affordable.

It was already stated on the project specification of Tesla, upon releasing their statement that these company were accepting bitcoin as a mode of payment on their products it was stated that the bitcoin that were going to purchase their product doesn't need to exchange in any fiat currencies. This might be one of the way of Tesla to gain bitcoin on their own kind strategy, and we might not know if the bitcoin that they can accumulate from this marketing strategy will be hodl by Tesla for a long term or short term.
