Who would ever believe that Serbia would win Portugal a 2-1 defeat? Would it be the money that their President promised them(€1million bonus) that motivated them to beat Portugal in Lisbon on Sunday that earned them a direct qualification to the World Cup?
Which after they won, they donated the money to help treat sick children 👏

I just hope Portugal wins their next match, if not they won't be able to qualify for the World Cup

I bet for Portugal victory in that match, but I didn't think that Serbia could destroy Portugal in a match that was quite decisive for both teams, I think the bonus promised by the president of Serbia really motivated the Serbian players, even though they conceded in the secound minute the start of the game, but Dusan Tadic and the other Serbian players did not look desperate, and even they played very enthusiastically after conceding the first goal.
Portugal journey to qualify will certainly be a little difficult because they have to undergo a play-off match, but I personally also believe they will be able to qualify for Qatar.

The match between Portugal and Serbia is a final match for both countries because they both have the opportunity to qualify for the 2022 world cup Qatar, Serbia needs a win to qualify automatically as well as Portugal, which should only get a draw or one point to qualify for the world cup on a regular basis. automatically without a play-off line. Such a coincidence that it happened that way. It was an interesting final game that mane got lucky over his team mate Salah. This time around there won't be penalty kick to decide but purely on points and goals for and against because it will be played in both countries with the team having the chance as home and away match.

The Egypt vs Senegal match will be played on 23rd and 29th March. Egypt will be looking for revenge, but IMO their chances are slim. They are too dependent on Mohamed Salah. I don't even know any other Egyptian player apart from Salah. On the other hand, Senegal is a more balanced team with more experienced players. Although we can term the match as Mohamed Salah vs Sadio Mane, Senegal is not overdependent on any single player. They have performers like Famara Diédhiou, Idrissa Gueye and Cheikhou Kouyaté.

You are right, there is an over-reliance by the Egyptian team on Salah but they can play very well without him too. Senegal deserved their win in the AFCON final but this will be a different match altogether. I think with home support and an opportunity for revenge - Egypt will win the first leg and Senegal will win the second leg.

From today's matches, in my opinion, the Uruguay - Peru match looks to be the most interesting. Both teams are fighting for a place awarded with direct promotion to the World Cup. If they win, Uruguay will be practically sure of this advance. I believe the hosts will not miss this opportunity and will beat the Peru team.

The match will be decisive for both teams and Uruguay cannot afford to lose this game, especially in their own stadium. That is, the minimum task for Uruguay in this match is not to lose. Any result other than the decisive victory of the hosts in the Argentina - Venezuela match will be a huge surprise for me. Venezuela is by far the weakest team taking part in the World Cup qualifiers in South America. Argentina shouldn't have any trouble striking a high victory. I bet Argentina will win with a handicap of -1.5 goals.

I have not been active enough in this thread, I guess I would have been more inclined to update it with fixtures and tables and scores during the European teams playing. I missed updating a lot of games from the other regions such as Middle East, Far East and the Americas therefore thank you for the fixtures update and table.

I will try to update the rest of the tables and fixtures with a list of teams that have qualified.

Ghana vs Nigeria   

I am so interesting between Ghana vs Nigeria match today because during the AFCON the two team did not prove to their countries how strong they are because of the red card the two team got from the AFCON tournament that made them to lose their opportunity. Based on their performance during the AFCON tournament, show that Nigeria performed well than Ghana.
 Nigeria players are well ready to win today match because most of their professional players are fully ready to battle with Ghana in their home. The match will end up 2:0 for the favour of Nigeria.

On the other hand, Egypt leads Senegal 1-0 thanks to an early own goal from Ciss; perhaps now is a better time to exact vengeance and eliminate Senegal from the upcoming World Cup, but Senegal is still aiming for a draw.

The outcome of the games for today was quite upsetting for many people betting on what supposed to be the favourite team to win.
Morocco and Nigeria got a draw. Algeria surprised Cameroon. Egypt and Tunisia won by 1 own goal each.. I recommend seeing the goal scored by Mali player in his goal, pretty ridiculous mistake that shouldn't be seen in a professional match..even worst he got a red card 5 minutes after.

I too can see that, Ghana tried, but that does not mean Nigeria did not perform. Ghana is not that easy to play against, though Nigeria have experienced players. What I have known right from long time ago is that Ghana versus Nigeria is not easy to predict, both of them do win each other or draw. This is even a type of match I can never gone for when I saw Brazil playing with Chile, Brazil always find it easy to win this time. This CAF qualification third round is really a bad on for gamblers, but even all the African countries that are playing are very good.

I don't bet on international matches because there are always unexpected results, silly own goals, and unnecessary red cards, especially in African qualifiers. The Egypt vs Senegal  was a fantastic game in a beautiful stadium, I enjoyed a little part of that game

Maybe it is time for the Egyptian team to move on and for them not look for revenge against the Senegalese at every opportunity. Elsewhere Algeria and Argentina won their games. Uruguay won the game and that means the top4 ranks are settled: Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador and Uruguay are qualified. Ecuador lost against Paraguay, but can't be overtaken anymore by Peru or Colombia.

The fight for the 5th rank is still open between Peru, Colombia and Chile. All 3 teams have "doable" games (i.e. not against Brazil or Argentina  ) If Peru wins against Paraguay next Wednesday then everything is decided.

The only way to please the 65 thousand Egyptian fans who came out to watch the game last night is to knock Senegal out of the FIFA World Cup.

In other news, the Ghana field was a total mess. I heard they haven't lost a match on that field, so it was a mind game to leave it in such a bad state to make it difficult for the Super Eagles, knowing that the majority of their players are foreign-based and unfamiliar with local fields. The field was not properly trimmed. Let's see what happens on Tuesday at the Nigeria standard stadium.

All of the Arab countries returned home victorious.
