What is your motivation that Qatar will win Ecuador? Is it because they are the host and you think they will be favoured by intimidating home base fans or is it because of the news of bribing that is making wave in the internet?

I also predicted that Qatar will wins their opening match. England and Senegal will also win their matches, Croatia will also win their match with Morocco. Why Qatar will win their first leg is that, they have strong defense their midfielders are also good. All the rest predictions you made are very good.

It is not because they the host but their players are good. Even if Qatar bribed Ecuador we will see it from the players. Qatar will win based on their performances. Though football is a game luck let's see what will happen tomorrow.

I love it when a host country advances because it always seems so strange to see the host side eliminated so quickly. I hate to say it, but I think Qatar will get special treatment from the referees, they put so much work into making this happen. The sight of them leaving the group stage would be embarrassing. I hope they receive all the assistance they require to at least finish R16. I must be prejudiced in this case.

I notice you only opted for one African team to progress and that is surprising. I can understand your reluctance to add Senegal to the list but Tunisia were Morocco are football crazy nations. Tunisia were Arab Cup finalists in 2021 only to be beaten by Algeria. As for Morocco, they are bidding to host the 2030 world cup tournament and have potential to go beyond the group stage.

Agreed. This is a football tournament, it is supposed to be about football. I think there could be a bit of political commentary here and there regardless of where the world cup takes place but the media seem to be going after Qatar from multiple angles on the eve of the tournament and it does seem unfair.

From your predictions, all stronger teams will win, that is unrealistic.

In addition, you should know one more fact, host teams of World Cups usually don't win in opening matches. Let me share historic records about that.

It is true for Defending champion era (1974–2002) and Host country era (2006 - 2018) in general. Personally I can explain it like this, teams are champions or from hosting countries will start World Cups with very high expectation from fans that bring a lot of pressure on their players. Usually, they were not able to play at their best capacity.

The only Arab nation that could have done better is Algeria, but sadly they did not qualify. I don't trust Tunisia and Morocco any more; they used to be fantastic teams in the 90s, but not any longer. North African countries typically screw up at the world cup, so I'm not putting a cent on them. Our best chance of winning the World Cup has always been the nations of West Africa. injuries ruined Senegal chances, the only hope now is Cameroon.

Qatar vs Ecuador in today's World Cup first match here is my prediction that Ecuador will win or the match will be a draw.  But many feel that Qatar can win as Qatar is the host and they will try hard to protect their honor.  But the host doesn't matter here, the game is the real thing, so it is natural that those who play well will win.  And let's see how the game will going after start. only just a few hours left, I think Ecuador will put up a good performance

An interesting prediction.
I think England are big favorites against Iran and will win as well as Holland against Senegal, who are playing without Mane.
Mexico is a very unpredictable team and I think they have a chance against Poland, for a draw and maybe a win, regardless of Lewandowski.
Australia is also a very unpleasant team, as are Morocco and Japan and although their opponents are slight favourites, I have a feeling that at least one team will surprise their favored opponent.
In such matches, we should bet on possible surprises.

After the glitz of the opening ceremony ended, the first game was played and for the first time in world cup history the host nation lost their opening game. The world cup is 92 years old and Qatar have that unwanted record.

As for the game, Ecuador dominated with possession and attack and deservedly won the game in the first half.

What confused me was the lack of support for the host nation. The away team was cheered and clapped throughout most of the game. If Qatar had scored just before half-time the game might have been different but in the end is was a disappointing night for the hosts. Well done to Ecuador but Qatar need to step up for themselves and their fans and for the neutrals that are watching.

Football game is not what you think is always happens, what happened in the opening match yesterday was a sure game for Ecuador team. Everyone knows that Ecuador team is better than Qatar but people were predicted for Qatar because since they the host of the world, they would do well but they could not.

But as for England vs Iran, though Iran players are good but England will win the match. I advise you to follow your mind and bet. Don't follow another person prediction to bet yours. Your luck and the other person luck are not the same.

This was highly expected by me, and the 2-0 was a perfect vindication of my prediction. With my analysis of Qatar and Ecuador, they are not a match, Ecuador is better than Qatar many times, but they would still have to improve on what they played yesterday if they plan to go anywhere in this world cup. They only played with a lesser team (that's my conclusion). Their match with a better team might be tough for them with what I watched yesterday. However, good scores from Valencia.

All three games will be interesting to watch. The political backdrop to the England vs Iran game will make this the standout game of the day. Senegal vs Netherlands will see the AFCON champions Senegal playing without their star player Sadio Mane therefore they will probably be less of a threat and might struggle to get past the group stages. Wales should get past the USA because of the experience they gained in the delayed Euro 2020 tournament.

Anyway...  England is up by three goals goals rn with a couple or so minutes left left to play before HT.  And it's really nice to see Southgate start Bellingham.    I guess that's one leg I got winning in my parlay.

England's match results won against Iran with a score of 6-2 and USA vs Weles resulted in a 1-1 draw in Group B making the two ruling countries now, Argentina's match will be highly anticipated, you could say this was Messi's last debut.
