Future of BTC

I've been in the cryptocurrency sector since the infancy, and I've seen the brightest and darkest days of BTC, but when I look at the current growing conditions of the bitcoin industry, I see that we've come a long way, and most of the world accepts cryptocurrency payments, and some major brands are even linked to the BTC world.

But every now and then, I wonder if these circumstances will last longer and improve in the future.

What are your thoughts on the matter?

Its a changing Bitcoin landscape for sure. Financial institutions through the
years have been very negative to Bitcoin but over the last 12 months we have seen
an about turn and they are starting to realise that its a positive thing, why? Pandemic!

COVID-19 has changed the world and its finances, this has  presented companies with
an alternative to move to Bitcoin and forced others to do the same, who would have
thought or predicted a global pandemic could render Bitcoin as the safest wealth haven?

For the future, it can only be positive for Bitcoin, if you regard more and more
institutional investors and high wealth people entering the space positive.

Supply will decrease and demand will increase but like the pandemic the unforseen
can happen and the unknown is tomorrow.

I think there was a gradual positive trend that started a couple of years ago with more high-profile investors taking notice of Bitcoin (and crypto in general). Nowadays we have businessmen, corporations and college professors working on projects related to crypto and that is giving it a new kind of legitimacy that was needed for it to become more stable and more reliable for the average consumer.

What are your thoughts on the matter?

For the most part, it'll improve but occasionally, we'll witness some sort of setbacks as well and that's mainly due to the fact that almost all of the governments, prefer having control over literally everything and that's something that they can't fully achieve with BTCitcoin in the scene.

I think there was a steady sure pattern that two or three years prior with all the more prominent financial backers paying heed to Bitcoin (and crypto by and large). These days we have money managers, enterprises, and school educators chipping away at projects identified with crypto and that are giving it another sort of authenticity that was required for it to turn out to be more steady and more dependable for the normal customer.

Definitely we have move forward in the last 10 years, bitcoin narrative has change, now it is treated Store of Value (SoV), currency (money) and used for micro-payment (although this is debatable because of the high fees) and then speculative asset. And now companies to hold on their balance sheet.

And bitcoin might evolved again in the next decade, we don't know, but one things for sure, bitcoin will still and be relevant, regardless of what its critics say. As for the price, $100k might be in the horizon.

I don't see any other way except to improve, take 2017/18 vs 2020/21 as a case study, clearly the difference in terms of acceptance, adoption and recognition has change drastically, btc between last year and this year alone has gain more recognition than previous years, several good news from giant companies accepting btc like never before, and so on,
To me i say more goodies ahead for the crypto community, persistence is what drive this space and is what will keep to move even higher.

Setbacks are part of the progress, in the case of bitcoin I think it has already proven that it will have a good future if it hasn't already arrived yet when it recovered from the 2017 price crash. I think that the government is just fighting a losing battle because they will benefit more if they were to accept it and coexist with bitcoin which is what most businesses are doing right now because they see the potential of coexisting instead of fighting it.

It's just getting started and expect to see more of those in the future. The improvement that we're going to see has already been on the roll for the Segwit and Lightning Network.
And what's more desirable is that there will be more known companies that will announce their investment on bitcoin and also the acceptance of it. OP, how much you've bought bitcoin at and are you still holding too many of it?

Bitcoin has still a lot to grow in the future. Its maximum supply has not been mined yet and too bad we won't see it ourselves. Bitcoin is still at its early stage even though many institutions are now adopting it in their businesses.  We don't even know if bitcoin as a global currency could happen. As of now, I don't see any cryptocurrency to replace it yet. The only thing I'm concern with bitcoin is everytime it reaches new high, the correction is also big. I hope volatility will decrease in the future.

Bitcoin has a bright future in the future, many already believe in bitcoin, even now the successful entrepreneur Elon Musk has announced that the next year you can buy a car with bitcoin, this is proof that in the future bitcoin is getting more advanced.

It's just getting started and expect to see more of those in the future. The improvement that we're going to see has already been on the roll for the Segwit and Lightning Network.
And what's more desirable is that there will be more known companies that will announce their investment on bitcoin and also the acceptance of it.

I hope that the future catch up with the problem especially with transactions is really problematic for the system. Hopefully Lightning Network becomes more mainstream and more will use it in the future because I believe that when it comes to everything speed is the key. Companies are going to be pouring which worries me a little because we might have less room for individuals who wants to invest in bitcoin.

^ Everything will change and everything will have improved and let us hope that one of those improvements is the transaction fee of BTC.
BTC is considered as young in the crypto industry and for sure there are too many major brands that will follow the steps of those who are very well known and the first adopter of BTC. I saw the potential of BTC that will probably have continues growth and have massive adoption in the future. The fixed amount did not reach yet and the time will come BTC price becomes more expensive.

Maybe we aren't even midway the usage of it.
Doubts are still there and other have picked a different choice rather than Bitcoin.
Another is the era we are living in. Many will still prefer cash to avoid traces or it's just the simplest thing to do.

Give it more time. Let the people slowly absorb what the future looks like then maybe we can talk here again at how much change had already happened in our financial system.

I think this situation will last longer and will improve in the future. As we might see, the other big companies will try to integrate it with bitcoin or use bitcoin as their investment.
Bitcoin will grow and will get more adoption from people, institutions, and companies in many countries, and when that happens, we can see the crypto will adopt globally.
We can have another solution on the payment systems and people will have a new option to pay using crypto and stay hidden when they make a transaction.
They also have a new investment which nobody will know what they use with their investment.

Unfortunately, gold is still number one globally. Bitcoin and gold are not comparable, or as an investment + speculation. Gold is accepted around the world and can be exchanged for fiat currency no matter where you are locally. With Bitcoin, it is more likely to be possible digitally, which is a major difference. For Bitcoin, you have to find someone more. I think with digitization over the next few years, Bitcoin will become more and more valuable.

 more than 10 years and you already saw the future , Now what comes next is depend on us specially for you , continues support and use of bitcoin will help the maintaining and even the progress up.
Specially now that we have more Big players that really means business and not just buying and selling for their stupid Bagging of Money.

I've also been in the cryptocurrency era since my childhood. When we compare the first times of Bitcoin to now, things have changed at a very high rate. We are getting so many good news for Bitcoin adoption. And I think we will always continue to see this in the future too. Because there is no reason for it not to go on like this for now.

I don't think that the pandemic is the only factor that made many companies pro-Bitcoin.
Do you think that,if there was no pandemic,all those big companies would still be negative towards Bitcoin and spreading FUD?
The main factor that made lots of companies invest in Bitcoin was the anti-inflation nature of BTC.
Inflation will strike after the pandemic ends,so investing fiat reserves into Bitcoin seems like the best move.
The future of Bitcoin seems bright,but there will be ups and downs,which is normal.

Exactly, I don't suppose many people were expecting the pandemic to help Bitcoin this much. This period literally speeded up the Bitcoin adoption. And it also helped the price to reach great levels thanks to the huge increase in demand. I expect this year to be really good for Bitcoin in general. I think we have new ATHs ahead of us. And also I think we will continue to see good news for Bitcoin adoption.
