This might be the coolest looking cybertruck I’ve seen to date (you have to watch the end of the video). Not sure if I could be talked into 30” rims, but maybe. I’ve never seen wrapped rims before. The color “Frozen Berry” looks awesome as it changes in the light. I’m guessing the wrap job complete with PPF covering was probably around $10K and the rims another $10K. If that’s a Cyberbeast it’s probably $160K all finished. Still, an amazing vehicle.

I'm starting to see people selling their Cybertrucks for barely more than they paid now.  It seems like the economy along with the allure of owning one of these early is wearing off.  I suspect we'll probably see lower conversion rates going forward of preorders as the reality of this economy takes hold.  Looking at recent preorder conversions, it appears I'm about 130K preorders down the line.  I've heard their conversion rate is as low at 5%.  With them making 1,000 per week now, that puts me about 6-7 weeks away from placing an order and another 6-7 weeks until delivery.  So there is legitimate hope that I'll have one of these by the end of the year.  Possibly as early as September, but I'm crossing my fingers for a Christmas present this year...  Definitely better have mine by this time next year.  Most people don't own their cars as long as I've waited for this one.

It looks like influencers are getting the newly redesigned hubcaps already. They’re basically the same only the extending parts no longer extend around the side of the tire. You can see a small gap in the rubber where the original design was meant to lay.

It has finally happened. The day I’ve waited more than 4 years for. I got the email. I went to the website. I ordered my Cybertruck. $1,000 non-refundable deposit has been placed. No turning back now. I went with the big rims and the black interior. As for the big question… Yes, I went with the CyberBeast!

I don’t care if anyone else buys them. Being totally honest, I’d prefer everyone says they’re ugly junk and nobody else buys them so that they’re limited. That won’t happen though. These things will be absolutely everywhere in 2 years with or without me.

I couldn’t pay in crypto but I’ll keep track of what the whole thing ‘would have cost’ if they accepted BTC. Most likely I’ll have to use an exchange and make the conversion to USD to pay though.

I came across this chart that shows delivery times for the different models of Cybertruck. I could have gotten the 2 motor version sooner, but that’s ok. If they don’t ramp up or improve their process at all (quite possible with the layoffs) then it looks like I’ll probably get to take delivery in late October. The countdown is on. Hopefully we see a BTC rally or mtgox payback before then.

Seriously though, I’m loving that enough of these trucks are getting out there that we’re starting to see some different customizations. I really wanted to leave the next car I own alone and keep it stock for the first time in my life as a sign I’m maturing, but I also feel the urge to limo tint it, chameleon wrap it, and put some 30” rims on it. Maybe I’ll mature more between now and October.

I think until now is one of the most cutomized cars/trucks i ever see when they are just starting to send them.

I see in the past weeks months ton of creator of content making dumb and silly videos with cybertrucks, most of them from some petite OF girls throwing small things into the truck.

I went through all the steps to trade-in my current car in my Tesla app (successfully) so now the only thing left for me to do is wait until I can provide insurance information and setup my delivery appointment. Not too surprised to see them only offer $1,400 for my current car, which displays how much of an upgrade this will be for me. My first new car since discovering Bitcoin.

The way that Bitcoin’s price, the mtgox distribution, and my Cybertruck being built are aligning to make it so that I’ll get the perfect amount of BTC at the perfect time to pay for this truck has me feeling a bit too simulation like… The next couple months will be interesting. Looks like mtgox is going to beat Tesla to the punch, but it’s still anyone’s game.

I know you’re an electric/solar guy and I dig that for sure, but man..I just don’t get the appeal. Especially with the release of the Lexus beauty above.

I’m honing in on this, just been lazy. Old car is almost dead so I’m at that point now , no choice. Never thought I’d buy a Kia, but these Tellurides are fn sweet (IMO).  Just wish I could justify a few extra Satoshis for the Lex

It really isn’t that much different than the appeal of Bitcoin for me. I can’t make my own gasoline, but I can make my own electricity. Like we don’t want to rely on banks to store our money for us and have control over it, I don’t want to rely on oil companies, refineries, shipping companies, and gas stations when I want to commute somewhere. The idea I can take sunlight and use it to power my entire life is cool to me. My home doesn’t even have a gas line… As soon as I get a machine that draws water out of the air and find a way to scale my farming efforts, I’ll be completely self sufficient. That’s always been the goal. If looking cool was the goal I’d be driving a 1964 impala.

I've just read the other day it's already the...4th recalling of Cybertruck by Tesla. A bit much.

Ya, they drilled a screw into the accelerator pedal, redesigned the hubcaps, changed a part in the wiper motor, and changed an adhesive. I’m surprised Tesla didn’t go bankrupt… It would’ve taken traditional automakers years and thousands of accidents before they even looked into addressing these types of issues. I’m still getting recall notices for my 2009 Dodge…

You have to remember that media outlets call software updates recalls when it comes to Tesla. I doubt anyone is seriously concerned about any of these issues outside of people who will never own a Cybertruck but like to hate on things. Still, I’m glad Tesla is improving my truck before I even get it.
