The current 'collapse of the current world currency' and the 'one world government'. Are these these predictions feasible? Do we really think this would ever happen because, I don't see how the world would be bounded in a single government. With all the racial segregation and other nations looking the other one as gold diggers fir which an alians with them would imply death to the countries economy,,, this is just a speculation though but, I strongly doubt the possibility of a one world government nor the collapse of the current monetary system. The re might be modifications but, not a collapse.  Better still would be a collaboration or the two, cryptos and fiat.

Bitcoin cannot be the standard coin of a One World Government, Because first and foremost, it is decentralized. It's circulation wouldn't be precedented, influenced or controlled in any way, shape or form by this One World Government you're talking about. This also goes for any future currency that bitcoin will pave the way to. Because those coins would probably be decentralized themselves, knowing that it's the biggest defining factor and the biggest selling point bitcoin has to offer besides its high profitability and current price point.

For me I think the people already wants Bitcoin to be the number one world currency, I think government are the ones fighting it especially in Africa,e.g  Nigeria Government has banned the transaction of Bitcoin in the country, but the citizens of Nigeria needs it.

I also believe that the viability of the idea of a world currency and a world government is questionable in the current conditions. There are too many contradictions between different states in politics, too different levels of economic development, different conditions for the functioning of the economy to be able to agree on something like this. Even after the two previous world wars in the last century, this did not happen and will not happen now. The monetary system of the world is in crisis, but the world currency will not help.

The OP is talking about bitcoin being the one world currency rather than the one world government as there is no such thing  Cheesy. To consider bitcoin as a global currency you do not need any permission from any government and since everyone is aware of the decentralized nature you do not need any central authority to give you the permission to use them as well, the people determines whether they want to use bitcoin as a currency.

No doubt it is. As more and more institutions using bitcoins in their platform, it is undoubtedly sure in the couple of years that this cryptocurrency will be greatly be used all over the world. More and more countries will probably be going to adopt.

Seeing Bitcoin as the "world coin" is as a result of its rapid and robust growth over the years which other coins are going in the same trend. it cannot really be stated in my own opinion as the world coin as several coins are emerging with rapid recognition than the way the bitcoin was seen growing when it first started. this has brought about competition in the coin market, so it can be determined in some years to come whether to really ascertain if the Bitcoin will definitely stand.

I agree with your opinion, governments do not have a very friendly position on Bitcoin, because they cannot control it, but they are generating many strategies taking advantage of Blockchain technology, in fact China is a pioneer in it, since its stablecoin has been quite a feat, for Russia also has plans to launch it in at least 2 or 3 years, they think that the digital age should be in their economy, the US for its part has not yet established a cryptocurrency or stablecoin plan, the FED is very aware of the steps that may happen with respect to debt and gold, they have considered Bitcoin to be a substitute for gold but not adapt it for not having a backing.

In some third world countries they tried to do it, but without success, Europe for its part does not have plans yet to launch a Digital Euro or Cryptocurrency, but in the near future I think it will be a priority to do so.

The idea of everyone holding a full bitcoin is bullshit, there is a reason for Satoshi keeping a limit for the amount of coins in circulation and it means that you can have any sub division of a bitcoin. There are lot of lost coins and then there are a million coins supposedly owned by Satoshi which is not in circulation and the number of coins lost to scammers and some of them are still idle, bitcoin is the universal coin and you do not need a government to agree on anything, all you need to do is to start using it for global transaction.
Okay, let's say that there is the subdivision but can it sustain the population though? I am asking a genuine question whether can bitcoin sustain it or not and you say that it is a bullshit, are you an economist to prove that it is bullshit?

There won't be a "one world government" and therefore there won't be a "one world currency."  No government is going to surrender its fiscal sovereignty to any foreign currency

well where did the french franc the spanish peseta. german d-mark al disapear

.. i will say there will be multiple fiats around the world. but as for which fiat is deemed the international reserve or the counter balance of all fiats.. well thats got more to do with which country is regulating international trade more so than which currency is favourble

bitcoin wont become the fiat counterbalance of international fiats. as its not able to be controlled by the regulating country.

bitcoin is a alternative safe haven separate from fiat and should always be considered an alternative and not a replacement

dreams of bitcoin defeating governments are for the fantasy section

You are right that smaller countries with their own currency won't be able to sustain their economy in the future. They only chance they have is export commodities but even then the payments will likely be in a different currency. There will be a lot of pressure on the currencies. So we will likely see more currency unions in the future. The problem a world currency would have is who will be able to control it. If the control is done via population quota then Asia will likely dominate. Having bitcoins as the world currency would make it easier because no one has control then.

I think yes bitcoin is the one world currency because this form of currency is use by many people  scattered in the whole world Thus bitcoin became the one world currency.  If we use bitcoin as currency to buy something you don't need to reveal our locality to determine when country you from that why it easy for use to use it where we are.

It is said that Bitcoin is the precursor of the "One World Currency" that will be used in a "One World Government". In the past, it has been predicted that a "One World Currency" would come into fruition as the current monetary system collapses in its entirety. It is today where we have Bitcoin, a Peer-to-Peer digital cash system that's decentralized, used globally by many people worldwide. Essentially, Bitcoin is a "One World Currency" although not backed by any government or trusted entity of any kind.

What do you think? Is Bitcoin the "One World Currency"? Or will another currency take its place in the future? If that happens, which currency do you think will become the "One World Currency"? Will it be the US Dollar, the Euro, or the Chinese Yuan? Do you think governments will unanimously agree to use a single currency for everything? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Smiley

I believe that at the moment we are on the path of global changes and in this case we are witnessing the collapse of the world dollar system. This also applies to the collapse of the world government. As a result, we are returning to the moment when each country will be on its own, and in parallel to this, new global systems are being created that are different from the existing ones. Bitcoin's place in this case is very dubious. The fact is that although BTC is actively growing in price and it seems like the crypto community is growing and money is being invested in BTC, this is not enough to become a world currency. As you understand, the world currency should solve the problems of the previous one, that is, the dollar, however, BTC hardly has only one advantage, because BTC also has disadvantages and this is probably what confuses most countries of the world to start using BTC as a world currency. At the same time, the BTC price is very volatile, and the main thing for the world currency is stability.

Possible without any government interventions this system can be used as world currency, talking

about online transactions, it's very capable doing the work.

If we use bitcoin as currency to buy something you don't need to reveal our locality to determine when country you from that why it easy for use to use it where we are.

Can process the transactions without any needs of personal information the concept of P2P

is vey likely to proceed. Good enough if most people acknowledge and use this chain.

Currently I think Bitcoin could be the one world currency to date but we’ll never know what the future brings. And people create new great platforms almost every year. But since Bitcoin came here first and is most widely used, it could be the worlds currency without the government interrupting too and making it centralized and run by them.

There is already a reserve currency, and that is not Bitcoin. Ever since 1945, the US Dollar is being regarded as the reserve currency of the world. There are competitors among the fiat currencies such as Chinese Yuan and Euro, but they haven't been able to make a lot of progress till now. Being a reserve currency is very close to being a universal currency. Now the question is whether Bitcoin can topple USD from that position. It is possible, but not immediately.

Still trying to visualize if this is actually visible "one world Currency" no doubt to it that in the long run it can happen but I am not seeing it anywhere close to actualization now. For Bitcoin been the currency can happen in the long run.

There won't be a "one world government" and therefore there won't be a "one world currency."  No government is going to surrender its fiscal sovereignty to any foreign currency, bitcoin or otherwise.  As for bitcoin becoming a one world currency on its own, it's not going to happen because Bitcoin isn't even used as a currency.  Store of value is about the only use-case at this point and even that has to be proven out longterm.

This explains it all.

I've searched also the meaning of "one world currency" and it means "one world economy" or "one world government" just like what you've said. First, it is true that there won't be any "one world government" since every countries have its own pride and culture, I could never imagine the whole world sharing the same Government and agreeing on thing. Second, the "one world currency" is also impossible for me, I mean even if it is Bitcoin, other countries still hates it and banned it.

Even if this would happen in the future, I guess that's gonna take a lot of time before it could happen, and no one knows how long will it takes.

- Individuals using bitcoin in each country are relatively large and the growth rate is very high during the pandemic boom but regardless of its popularity and role as a currency, are people really using its role or are they just adding more flashy shells to bitcoin? We are clearly just investing in bitcoin every day, currency is a concept we have overlooked because the level of competition for an independent and uninsured currency on the back is so low, the social regime and the government will abolish such currencies
