Currently I think Bitcoin could be the one world currency to date but we’ll never know what the future brings. And people create new great platforms almost every year. But since Bitcoin came here first and is most widely used, it could be the worlds currency without the government interrupting too and making it centralized and run by them.
- Individuals using bitcoin in each country are relatively large and the growth rate is very high during the pandemic boom but regardless of its popularity and role as a currency, are people really using its role or are they just adding more flashy shells to bitcoin? We are clearly just investing in bitcoin every day, currency is a concept we have overlooked because the level of competition for an independent and uninsured currency on the back is so low, the social regime and the government will abolish such currencies
a large-scale transition to Bitcoin as a means of payment may take place, but only after a fairly long time. Until this period, all governments will oppose this in different ways. But it seems to me that its capitalization will mainly affect the adoption of Bitcoin, which will increase thanks to investments in bitcoin and, according to analysts, if the capitalization of Bitcoin increases by an average of 10 times from today's value, then Bitcoin will stabilize in price and if it is still not used as a means of payment, it will still become a sufficiently reliable storage for the savings of each person.

There is already a reserve currency, and that is not Bitcoin. Ever since 1945, the US Dollar is being regarded as the reserve currency of the world. There are competitors among the fiat currencies such as Chinese Yuan and Euro, but they haven't been able to make a lot of progress till now. Being a reserve currency is very close to being a universal currency. Now the question is whether Bitcoin can topple USD from that position. It is possible, but not immediately.
China is trying to replace the US from world reserve currency with one currency one nation and also they are trying again until 2020 with their digital yuan concept but USD became traded widely where no currency is near to its place so its literally not possible in the future.

Bitcoin is an infant compare to the total circulation of USD in the world in 2021 with one unit is traded over $63K so its a long term goal which ma happen in the next few decades.

Due to the fact that bitcoin isn't accepted by most government stands as an obstacle for bitcoin being used as the world currency, Usd has being the world currency and has hold that position for long, there have been other fiat currency competing with usd but hasn't succeeded taking the position, bitcoin on the other hand is still yet to be accepted by most government and still has many challenges, so I would say bitcoin being the world currency isn't gonna happen so soon it seems impossible now but in future might come to pass.

Governments may not accept BTC but its citizen will use them. They could just hide while using BTC and the government can't stop anyone from using cryptocurrency. China bans BTC but there are Chinese using it just look at how many exchanges owned by the Chinese.

Apparently, BTC will be considered one world currency even if BTC will not really be declared.

As long as bitcoin keeps decentralized and well distributed among different hands there is no risk of becoming the *one world currency*. We should also keep in mind there are many altcoins in this universe. So bitcoin isn't going to become the only of its kind. However, it doesn't mean globalists couldn't work to use bitcoin for their own benefit to fit their long term manipulation goals.

It is said that Bitcoin is the precursor of the "One World Currency" that will be used in a "One World Government". In the past, it has been predicted that a "One World Currency" would come into fruition as the current monetary system collapses in its entirety. It is today where we have Bitcoin, a Peer-to-Peer digital cash system that's decentralized, used globally by many people worldwide. Essentially, Bitcoin is a "One World Currency" although not backed by any government or trusted entity of any kind.

What do you think? Is Bitcoin the "One World Currency"? Or will another currency take its place in the future? If that happens, which currency do you think will become the "One World Currency"? Will it be the US Dollar, the Euro, or the Chinese Yuan? Do you think governments will unanimously agree to use a single currency for everything? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Smiley

There won't be a "one world government" and therefore there won't be a "one world currency."  No government is going to surrender its fiscal sovereignty to any foreign currency, bitcoin or otherwise.  As for bitcoin becoming a one world currency on its own, it's not going to happen because Bitcoin isn't even used as a currency.  Store of value is about the only use-case at this point and even that has to be proven out longterm.
Although many people around the world know and invest Bitcoin, but currently Bitcoin has not been considered an official currency. It only accepted payment in some countries. So Bitcoin is considered a world currency that is very unlikely. And beside Bitcoin, there are still many other electronic currencies that are also interested by investors such as: ETH, Link ... where to know the position of electronic currencies will change in 2021. Although Bitcoin is is the main coin in the electronic money world.

No, we are at early stage of that kind of adoption; few countries are having norms which are friendly to bitcoins whereas most countries are neutral against bitcoins which means people need to stay safer on this own responsibilities; it means we are slowly moving toward the stage of one world currency regardless of where our governments stand against crypto currencies. So, in the near future people may ignore all other payment systems and may adopt bitcoins for worldwide transactions; which will simply emphasize that we are having one world currency.

But, there would be unlikely situation for bitcoin to be declared as one world currency or as worldwide a medium of exchange. Because we cannot expect governments to be convinced before most of world population will be adopting bitcoins. Only based on demand from public, governments start think about it.

The One World Currency: Is it Bitcoin?
Of course not. Although it is very popular, it is not eventually legal in all countries. That implies the government is not lending legitimacy. But since the identity here is from where we are operating we don’t even know rigorously. But I believe promptly Bitcoin will be recognized as a one-world currency. I loitered for that day  Smiley

Bitcoin is starting to be utilized as a currency in some countries who accepts bitcoin as a payment but i don't see it becoming a one world currency because for me there is no such one. I don't think governments from different countries will end up having a one world currency because admit it, every government officials have their own will and interests and unity is too far to be fully observed. But if ever one world currency will be implemented, cryptocurrency like bitcoin will never be their perfect choice knowing its naturally decentralized.

but for now, I look more at the fact, that the value of Bitcoin is really high and very comfortable if it is used as an investment asset rather than a currency, if you want to become a 'one world currency' I think it must be a stable cryptocurrency.

From the point of view that it is the world currency adopted by governments, I think that is not the case, because if it is a global currency it has to have control and nobody has control of Bitcoin, Bitcoin will always be the competition for any currency, as it The best thing about Bitcoin is that it has no backing like gold or something else.

More than 5 years ago I read an article where the United States planned to launch a global currency, where its symbol was the eagle that characterizes the United States, and they said that it would be much stronger than Bitcoin itself, currently I did not hear from that project again because of part of the US, I think that is where the world currency goes.

Because we cannot expect governments to be convinced before most of world population will be adopting bitcoins. Only based on demand from public, governments start think about it.

I guess the situation will change! The world is making progress in every way, can we even imagine the world in the next 50 years? If you turn around and try to realize the last 50 years, you will find it almost impossible to predict what can happen!

My perspective is simple, if you can imagine one global currency, what that currency needs to be, and what needs to have to take that spot, only Bitcoin fits all criteriums! Without a country that can claim it or control it... is there any other currency that can be accepted by the east and west, whites and blacks, and you name any other difference between countries and people! Bitcoin can solve some trust issues here, simply we need a wallet address and we will know can we trust someone or not!

I believe in one world currency, but that will come when people of the world unite... and that can happen, but when? On which level people's awareness has to be for that? Well, I can only believe that Bitcoin can help all of us in that way, it's a tool, I hope we will learn how to use it!

I don't believe that the one world currency or the one world government is possible, but I believe Bitcoin can be the reserve currency like the US dollar nowadays.

- Instead of believing in the bitcoin currency theories many people offer, you have probed into factual information and the proof is the best outcome for your concept of bitcoin, as a result, you are very accurate when considering bitcoin as a long-term investment in world markets, currencies are just a narrow angle of theory and not universally applicable. World currency should only be the title of countries with strong economies such as the US and UK, they have the power to dominate and maintain due to their large political and economic resources while bitcoin is very poor in this regard.

At some point, we can see that it aligns to the theory that was made way back before bitcoin was made. It might look like a coincidence but we should also consider how popular and how possible it may take place in the future. Even though it is so far from happening right now, we should take consideration on how much recognition has been getting ever since its value went up. As technology advances more, the greater the possibility that it would soon be declared as the one world currency. Nevertheless, we should still remember that there are a lot of other currencies that exists in the world right now and some of it can be a candidate of being the one world currency.

Cryptocurrency is an Universal currency/world currency for its possibility to get exchanged to any country's fiat. Bitcoin will not get acceptance as one currency for the world. It takes years, because the acceptance level as currency is very low compared to its usage as investment and transaction platform.

Gold actually used to be the World Currency.

Bitcoin won't be , at least not for the regular people, price and transaction fees drive it out of the masses ability to purchase.

Now Banks , the rich, & corporations will all use bitcoin , but the rest of us will be using offchain systems or altcoins that are affordable.

Or hasn't it? The power of society can form a new definition for what is called one world currency. The decentralization will soon become as strong as the government and Defi will rise and overtake the current economy. When the time comes, even the strongest government cant stop the crowd. They have to admit that bitcoin (or maybe any other cryptocurrency) to become the next era of the monetary system. Moreover, we are promptly heading to a new age of technology where IoT, AI, and data will dominate the world. Bitcoin will definitely have its spot to shine

Bitcoin needs a lot of improvement and recognition before it is fully adopted not just for investment but also for daily transactions. It is obvious that right now bitcoin is only considered as a term of investment where people can earn huge profit by storing bitcoin.

There is a possibility to it to happen considering that virtual money is more accessible today and they safe specially now that we experiencing worldwide pandemic due to covid19 and instead of bringing a lot of money or what, they would rather prefer to use it...just as they were planning to have a one world currency there is also a one world government which would take place in the future.
along with the times, the intensity of human activities is getting denser, as if there is no time to do various activities. therefore with bitcoin, I think it can streamline one's time in terms of transactions

If there were to be one, then I can say with some confidence that it will be Bitcoin.

It is clear that blockchain is the way forward in terms of a unified global currency. CBDCs around the world will likely try to jostle for position as the world's reserve currency (especially the Chinese Yuan).

But at the end of the day, grassroots adoption is going to favour BTC and not any centrally backed token. People and institutions are waking up to the fact that fiat has no intrinsic value, and the blind faith in the fiat system is all that gives it value.
