No one can depend on social platforms to protect themselves from scams, regardless of how efficient their security system is. Such platforms which are profit oriented usually prioritize returns over protecting their users.
Using the internet exposes one to a certain level of risk and users should take basic precautions to avoid falling for scams, like scrutinizing offers that are too good to be true.

They aren't exactly allowing it most likely the channels you are watching right now where they are giving a "free giveaway" are hacked accounts from Youtubers that is why they have a lot of subscribers to begin with. With them hijacking the accounts it will go under the radar on Google that is why viewers/users need to make the necessary action to report them. IMO what isn't acceptable on Google's part is the one happening the their Google Playstore where even though they have screened the apps there are several scam apps that are made available for download this is the area they need to focus on as a lot of android users have lost their money because of it.

This event Continuous to happen since scammers/hackers are able to benefit from it, no matter how secure or protected our accounts are when someone really wants to hack or create false ads there are victims who believe in it that's why they keep on doing it. There's a need for each site to strengthen their security and access to atleast avoid it as well filtering of ads before approval to publish will be fine.

^ They cant able to filter the videos especially if this is a live streamer, unless if there is someone who reports the video. We should protect ourselves in the first place in social media. Because most scammers and fraud activities are on social media and probably they are trying this if there is someone who got be fooled by them. When there are offer giveaways on social media but asking to send you first any amount, you must have doubt already, no one will give money on the internet even how rich you are. Old technique scam but effective because there are greed and innocent people.

I think if they get many report about the advert they would take it down and maybe block the host, You Tube right now is scary, for -Newbies- you ought to be careful, the bot scammer are so much that the owners of the channel are less concerned, some even give the comments of the scammers a like, this to a -Newbie- can be they are real when they aren't, but You Tube can not be avoided, so -Newbies- should scrutinize all information, recommendation, give aways, advert and more that are gotten from YouTube and social media.

There have been  have been enough of give away scam impersonating Elon Musk through give aways already. The crypto community should have been already aware of this technique. Its far too out dated to be discussed and as funny as it seems, it keeps popping up here and there and the reports keeps coming in.
My advice,  its best people don't be about these give aways no more. Even still, avoid celebrities doing giveaway. Life on the Internet is far too risky these days. Your bound to loose something in your bid to get something for free. Nothing is really for free. Giving in means you paying a price your not going to like. So, don't give in!

I advise everyone to report this fake Elon Musk giveaway ASAP so that Youtube will take it down. That's the only thing that we can control now, Youtube has some issues and it seems that they can't really filter enough in time and that's why this criminals was able to get away with it. So report it and then see how it goes and hopefully they will act on our reports quickly.

Since YouTube is a public platform, anyone can post scam attempts on it, but if the video is reported, it will be removed immediately. Since there are so many videos posted every day, it's difficult for YouTube to check them all at once. The only thing you have to do now is spam report the video and spam comments to ensure that no one else is scammed. I pity the person who invested in a phony giveaway, but it's also their fault for being greedy with money, and it's clear that it's too good to be true situation.

Youtube's ad and privacy algorithm is very erroneous, so it's not surprising that things like these fly off their radars. Although of course, this is bad news for people who are not really savvy with crypto and bitcoin, or even perhaps the newbies that just got into bitcoin not too long ago. Ain't know why there are people who fooled a scam strategy like this which is very obvious it's a scam, ain't know if Elon Musk is generous kind behind of his being the richest people on earth who will give that amount to random people.  You must think about it before they will be the next victim.

I tend to agree above if you saw the live video or a video like this, report immediately so that YouTube will be shutting down quickly the videos, they are social media too and they can't able to filter what is a video uploaded or what is the content of the live video, once they receive reports it might be that's the right time they will shutdown the video.

From Twitter to Youtube and then what next? How many times there will be a victim until people will educate on such a kind of fraud activity.

This is their site officialelon2x.com, and I also found another suspicious site official-giveaways-medium.com registered on the same day according to https://com.all-url.info/20/110/ which might be used as a backup if the site is currently shut down by the domain provider.

I think they did somehow when a lot of reports has been made and it is quite a time when I have seen the same ad until op posted it.

They should do something on it and make it automated upon ads being made such as that scam ad.
